If you have a job, property, business etc in your home country you should be fine.
You only need to convince them that you WILL come back after visiting your wife.

I have a general question though.
I already submitted I-485 long ago. Then PD retrogressed by the time we got interviewed.
Because there was no VISA number available they approved I-130 only.
So my I-485 has been pending since.
My question is when my PD is current (likely in 3 months) do we have to interview again?
Or we don't have to do anything but wait for I-485 to be approved.

6 weeks advance.
Not bad!

Looks like they are speeding up Mexico F2As.

I've applied for EAD once but not renewed yet.
F2A sucks...

it sucks! only 22 days for FA2!!! GEEZ!
Indeed.
You are already in US?

Well, at least it's moving.
I was hoping for faster movement but I guess I'll just have to wait like everyone else.
Good thing is I am already in the US and have EAD.

My PD is 07/12/2013. I am already in the US.
I submitted I-485 last August, however my interview was schedule in June 2014, when the VISA has retrogressed.
They approved my I-130 the second day after my interview, which went without any problem.
But the immigration officer said since the visa number retrogressed, I-485 can't be approved until a visa number is available.
Luckily I was able to be staying on AOS for now because my I-485 is pending.
So here comes the question.
When my PD is current, do I need to get an interview scheduled again?
Or I just need to wait for my green card coming in mail sooner or later.
Thanks for any information.!

My PD is July2013.
Hopefully it would be current in April.
I am already in the US and interviewed, I-130 approved.
not sure if I still need to be interviewed then.
I'll let you guys know.
PS: because USCIS is dealing with the deferred undocumented immigrants since childhood. they might be slow in processing legal immigrants' cases.
Sigh...
