  1. Yes. That's the only question I asked. Thank you.

    I found this:

I found it on this site: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/security-securite/admiss-eng.html

Though you may face delays if you're going by airline, if you call your airline, they might be able to assist you.

If you're going by land, you don't need your passport. You only need proof of Canadian citizenship (per Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms), such as your birth certificate with a photo ID.

i think the problem lies with more coming back into the US afterwards.

but thanks for looking and finding that information.

  2. In need of information, trying to figure out what i need to travel to Canada

i have a expired CRS and my alien passport is expired as well just this august.

it said i can travel with my CRS and the notice letter along with it, but i can't find

any information of my passport. im a little confused on how to renew a passport if

i no longer live in the canada now, and i don't think i am eligible to apply for a us

passport. If anyone has information. would help shed some light.

  3. All this paperwork and knowing what to do is getting very frustrated. People telling me to get my social number, but it says that i can't if it's too early or if it's too late.

And now i'm trying to figure heads or tails of the I-485, if anyone would be so kind as to help this poor confused girl.

    i'm confused by

    A# & I-94 #

asking for both, aren't they the same number?

Under "current USCIS Status" no clue what to write in there.

Mother's first name do they mean (same for father)

Family first name or they're actual Name.

and along with my application what should be included

i'll have these along with me

    I-765 ( Employment Authorization)

    (travel form)

    The fee check

    Marriage certificate

    ----------------------------

and by any chance what is this I-94, they seem to talk about it alot. i think it said to send it in or something, i never received

a form I-94 or filled one out.

  4. well alright then.. thanks =D

i'm abit nervous about the semi screening ..

    since i read a view reviews..where they

said no to having exchanged wedding bands and

got denied entry. He didn't give me the ring as of yet

he still has it, it was being custom made at the time

he proposed and wasn't ready when he came up to

visit.. but i do have proof of purchase and a picture..

but i don't know if i should ask him to send me the ring.

i know he wouldn't want to send it..chancing to loose such

a thing going through customs and mail.

  5. My parents were kind enough to offer me a lift and drop me off at my fiance's house, while they go play around the US, like they usually do. LOL

My fiance thinks it a very nice gesture to pose, but he wonders if it be best if he were to pick me up at the borders?

and also i'd like to know how to go about when i'm at the border or which ever method i intend to choose to go about.

Do i just tell the border patrol that i'm wanting to activated my K-1 visa at that moment? and if by plane..do i tell the the person i give my plane ticket too.. @.@ i'm so confused.

  6. My fiance is wondering, if there's a certain airport to board specific to the visa?

Personally i don't think there is. They would of told me so! i think :D

but he's overcautious person, so i'm asking here, i'm on hold for the consulate for over an hour now...

if someone could fill me in :D that's be great thanks!

  7. Im almost done..and i wanna be done, but i want to make sure i have everything and done everything that's needed.

    my questions are

    1) the check list they actually provide, does everything need to be check off, by that i mean, when they list "military records" do i have to check it off even if i have no records of being in the military or do i just leave it blank, or will a N/A suffice?

    2) I filled out all the reports that was asked on the checklist, but there still is a affidavit of support, is that for me to fill out or my fiance in the US? o.O 'cause the questions asked on it seem directed towards him rather than me, which is a bit confusing.

    thank you!

  8. i knew that offices from montreal and toronto were the same..the problem was, the number they gave me to call to make the appointment at the time ..the receptionist told me that they don't do the medical exams for immigration and what not.

I emailed Dr.seiden & associate from the website. they told me exactly who to ask for...and i got my appointment just fine now.

and i asked for only canadians only, 'cause i didn't want people from other countries how they did it...it wouldn't be really relevant to me..how they applied for an appointment in their country. i wasn't trying to offend anyone..just get a clear and precise answer..

'cause the last time i asked a question..too many people responded, and it kept coming up on " it depends how things are done in your country, you should ask your consulate". so i wasn't too thrilled. so to say.

but thanks for all you're replies..

    ciao-meng.

  9. i've already called both places... i'm just waiting on the call back now. i sent an email as well to "Dr. Howard Seiden & Associates" and if i don't get a good definite answer where i can book an appointment i'll email the consulate

  10. no, they didn't. That's the same page i have..i had called

Dr. Howard Seiden & Associates, the one in montreal.

which they gave me a number to contact, but

when i called, the clinic said that they didnt do that exam

here. Which completely confused me, why would they

give me a number that wouldn't help me out.

  11. Recently called, the number for Doctors that do these exams..which was provided for me on the paper. when i called 'em they gave me another number to call.. a clinic, i called that clinic, they tell me, "we don't we those exams here."

    i'm confused now.

If anyone has gone through this process and lives near Ottawa or Montreal, and knows what to do to get the exam. If you would be so kind to shed some light on this situation.

(also, if you're not from Canada, refrain from posting. thank you!)
