Choose "My name or other biographic information has legally changed"

In the evidence section you can upload multiple files. You can upload a file with file name "To USCIS" and in it explain that in addition to your legal name change your current card has also been lost.

Not sure what I’ve been doing wrong but it is letting me to update one file only. The document proofing the name change.

  2. Hey guys!

I am applying for the I-90 for a green card replacement for a lost card. However, there is now also a name change.

What is the most appropriate reason for the replacement then?

If I choose lost green card, there is no option to upload the legal name change document but I am afraid if I choose name change, I might have issues in the future where they will ask me for the old card.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Hello guys,

When I got married I decided to keep my last name and hyphanated with my husband last name, so I have two last names. ie: Jane Doe-Smith

So, I updated my DL, my passport and I completed all the AOS forms with this name.

My combo card also has the name hyphanated and my GC just arrived and I noticed that is not hyphanated there.

My question is: if I leave the card how it is now, will I have any problem when I tried to return to the US when I leave the country?

I going to my homecountry on the 22nd, I already booked my flight and I am afraid if ask to change my name it will take too long to arrive.

I tried to call the national costumer service but I haven't get an representative to speak to me.

    Thank you so much!

  4. Hello guys,

I'm filling my petition to AOS. My husband and I were filling the I-864 form, and get the point about the past 3 years taxes, he was non-taxable for 2nd and 3nd past years.

For 2nd and 3nd past years, he was in his parents taxes, because he didn't make much money. What should we do? Can this interfer in the process?

Also, he started working at this new job August 13, so the tax for past year it's only the half amount. would it be a problem too?

What should we put at the forms?

    Thank you so much!

  5. Hello guys,

I am filling up the forms and paperwork to AOS and I have some questions.

I will explain my situation so you guys can understand it better. First, I came to the US with J1 visa, stayed for one year and came back home for 2 weeks to renew my visa. So I have two visas in my passport and also two entry stamps. When my 2nd year as J1 visa was over, I applied for a change of status to B2, what was approved and after I got my F-1 status and that is my current status for now.

And now, I also had to renew my passport because the other will expire in 5 months.

So here are my question regarding my situation:

    1) Should I send copies for my two visas or only the last one?

    2) What should I do about the passport? Send active first page passport of both or just the new one?

    3) Should I send copies for my Social Security Card and Driver license? If yes, in which package should I put them?

    4) Also, should I send copies of I-797 (I have two, one for tourist and one for student), DS-2019 (for J-1 visa) and I-20 (student visa)? If yes, in which package should I put them?

Thank you so much and I really appreciate the help! :)
