September 28 ? transferred from nvc to Djibouti I think this is the most nerve racking part

Has anyone interviewed in Djibouti yet?? How did it go ?? And how much money should one carry when interviewing ?? Please anything is helpful right now

I just wanted to share my case timeline in case it helps anyone. I petitioned for my husband to come to the US.

May 15th: case was approved for expedite to Cairo

May 27th: case arrived in Cairo from NVC

June 1st: husband left Yemen by boat to Djibouti to try and get to Egypt

June 11th: husband finally got out of the port because he bought a ticket to Jordan, but when he got to Jordan he and other people arriving in Jordan were forced to go back where they came from

June 14th: husband back in Djibouti; sent transfer request email to embassy in Djibouti to have our case transferred to Djibouti

June 19th: sent transfer request email to IVYemen

August 2nd: "transfer in progress" to Djibouti on CEAC site

August 3rd: "ready" in Djibouti on CEAC site; embassy in Djibouti said they still need access to Cairo database to see our original petition but we'll hear back within a week for an appointment

August 10th: received email with interview appointment for August 20th

August 20th: interview in Djibouti; visa "issued" on CEAC website

August 23rd: husband received visa from embassy

So, my husband has been in Djibouti for three months for this whole process. It took 7 weeks till the case was "ready" in Djibouti, 1 week till we got the interview email, and 10 days before the interview. The visa was issued the same day as the interview, and he picked it up three days later alhamdulillah.

Can u tell us what kind of interview questions that would ask and if it is in Arabic or English if there is a translator if not and if they are hard on Yemeni citizens given all the ####### they have been put thru

How would he take his medical exam of his interview is so close ?

Has anyone recently in the past couple of days gone to Djibouti or know someone that has? If so did they require anything from them to pass thru mokha or do they just stamp ur passport and go? My husbands having a really hard time trying to get thru they said he needs a security clearance. Also how much is the boat ride from mokha to Djibouti??

Guys my husband is going to Djibouti is there anything I need to know to tell him please help this dam process is dragging for the longest time? Does he need a secure clearance of some kind cuz someone was trying to rip him off for $500 usd and how can he avoid going into the hangers he has a address in Djibouti to arrive to

Umnori did ur husband just recently travel to Algeria? If so did he book his ticket from Sanaa to Jordan then to Algeria or a no stop flight? I ask because my husband was gonna go but the office in Sanaa gave him a hard time with his ticket so know he is going to Djibouti

Does anyone know if the petitioner interviews in the United States before the beneficiary does? Or does the petitioner not interview just the beneficiary??

If I cannot get a joint sponser is there a waiver or something I can fill I temporarly live with my parents until my husband can get in and I do work but it dosent meet the minimum guidelines even if I put my parents as joint ..they are retired old folks and my dad's pretty sick and I is under my care

Hi currently I'm stuck with my affidavit of support I want to send in for my husband my question is can I be his supporter I make around 2,150 a year I dnt fill taxs as they are automatically deducted from my check ??(I have stubs for proof ) what is the minimume poverty income requirment if I'm only supporting him we do have a child together and I am currently residing in the states and he is in yemen would I be enough a sponser or would I have to have a joint sponser aswell??? Hi everyone I filed my i130 for my husband December 18 received a noa and also received that my case has been approved thru USCIS Texas June 25..now it's making it's way to NVC witch isn't going to get there they said in 5 weeks +30 days for processing and response. R nvc pretty quick and how long did u guys have ur case at nvc till it was transferred to the counsel?
