We stared our journey in 2014, but decided to stay in NZ for a little while longer, now we have decided to return to the USA - my husband is a US Citizen
-
Has anybody needed to us this?
-
Did you have a look at my timeline....we got to the point of sending the IV packagage.....was this too far, we also had a letter stating because of time frame our application had been cancelled
-
Thank you so very much with your help Greatly appreciated
-
3 years almost.....if we logged onto our file would that show do you think?
-
Hi, it was in 2014 October
-
My husband and I applied for a visa but unfortunately we didnt follow through with this, and were sent the letter saying it was past the one year point, we have now decided to make the move to the USA , will we be able to start the process over from scratch?
-
This is soo frustrating, we have been trying to get through for 2 days now.
-
My husband is about to file taxes for 2013, we think he files as MFS as I have no SSN. We are both living in NZ at the moment with a IR1/CR1 in process, how do we declare my taxes? He hasnt been working whilst here in NZ. Does this make sense? It has now put a halt to our immigration process.
-
Struggling with the taxes....unsure where to go from here, we are going round and round in circles and nobody seems to be able to help us.....
-
After starting this procedure we are finding that my husband may have to return to the USA (citizen) before me....are we required to be both be living in same country to continue (im a nz citizen) and we are both living in Nz.
We have been living in NZ together for 3 years....
-
So we just continue the process just change his address?? or should we contact NVC

HI THERE, WHEN YOUR I130 IS APPROVED CAN YOU BUY A ONE WAY TICKET OR DO YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE A RETURN FLIGHT
-
To all members waiting for approval, don't give up hope. I know it's hard watching other members get NOA2 and visa approvals, while you wait patiently halfway around the world from your fiance with no apparent progress on your own application. Just remember why you started this whole process in the first place: love. Realize how lucky you are to have found your soul mate, someone to love and live the rest of your life with. Don't get discouraged. Enjoy every text, phone call, instant message and video chat, with the knowledge that you WILL be together with your loved one someday.
My own foreign fiance made this video of some of our most memorable moments together. Watching this will definitely help me get through some of the days when I am really missing him. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi,
Can retirement fund be classes as an asset when filling out the affidavit of support form?
-
Our I130 was approved on the 4th of August 2014, we have had no notice that it has been sent to NVC, at this stage we have no idea where our paperwork is
-
Post activity does not mean it was mailed, it means that it's going to be.
Can take up to 8 weeks to go from USCIS yo NVC. Keep calling the NVC once a week until they say they have it or call the USCIS and see when it was shipped.
We called NVC last night, all we got was an automated response....it didnt help us at all. Can you actually talk to anyone?
-
If this is the statement that you are receiving, this means that they have not mailed your packet to NVC yet.
Keep checking and it will soon show the circle for Post Activity Decision ,and a statement stating something like "On DATE, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing.....That is the DATE that you will know when it has been shipped.
You need to wait a bit longer until you case status shows Post Activity Decision.
Hope this helps.
Hi there, Our case status does show Post Activity Decision at the moment with the 4th August as the date they approved.....do we wait for the message to change? Rang Uscis and they said to us that our paperwork had been sent.... just not sure what to do next, also thanks for your help
-
Go to www.USCIS.gov and select check case status. Put in the CSC #, and it will show the message under Post Activity Decision when the case was forwarded to NVC.
You can also call USCIS customer service number at 1-800-375-5283 and receive the info verbally .
On August 4, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
Thanks for your response, is that the date above you mean?
