Hi guys! Me and my husband are 6 weeks pregnant! We are thinking to give birth in the Philippines since I don't have a family here that would help me or accompany me. This is our first child and I could tell it's really hard having no one with me the whole day. Can someone please enlighten us with the process of our child bringing it to the U.S. after giving birth in P.I? Do we need to file I-130? How much the fees we're looking at? Thanks in Advance!

What time did he call?[/quote
I called around almost 10am New Hampshire time.
Thankyou! My husband is gonna try to call when he gets off from work! ????Yes, you can request to expedite your interview, if you have a valid reason. Call the usem.
-
You can reschedule to an earlier date but there's no guarantee that the consul will grant the interview. There's a chance that they will tell you to come back on the date that NVC originally gave.
Good luck.
Thanks for the input! Just want this to be over ! ????

Hi guys! I called NVC last night and yay we got our interview date! The lady told me our schedule is on MARCH 6, 2015. I was happy when I found out but when I told my husband he wasn't so happy about it! We requested an expedite and don't know if that's actually granted or not, hubby wants to get an early interview because he's in the military and he got his next assignment. So he's pretty much leaving soon to where he is currently stationed at and he wanted to in process me ASAP so I could join him on his next base and of course to get a free plane ticket for both of us! QUESTION IS: Is it possible to get an earlier interview if we got an interview date scheduled already???THANKS!

Hi guys so just this Thursday I got my medical done and Friday I went to SLEC to get the results I was very happy that I passed!!! Yahoo!!! Thanks be to God!! Anyway, I am a military wife and my husband is planning to go with me during the interview which is soon. He got 7 days left work leave and he's gonna use all of that! Do you guys think I'm gonna have my visa on hand if he's coming a day before my interview? Is there anything we could do to get my visa quickly? Do we have an option to pick it up instead of using a courier service? We have a limited time to spend to where he is stationed right now so we want to both be in GUAM as soon so he could in process me and basically getting me and him a free plane ticket to go to our next base in East Coast! No one wants to spend thousands of dollars where you can get it free. Please help!!!

Hi guys! So after long months of waiting we finally got our case complete! So I'm wondering if I can do my medical already without my interview letter yet, will SLEC let me? I already registered online and planning to do it by next week! Any thought about this? Thanks in Advance!

Hi guys so we got our case complete last Tuesday, we never got any email from NVC. It was my husband that called NVC and basically that's how we knew we got CC, FINALLY! The representive told us that we will receive an email together with our interview date. QUESTION is: Is it possible we will gonna have February interview? Did they start scheduling? I am from the Philippines and want to know when do they most likely schedule interview in USEM Manila for me that just got case complete. What month I'm looking at??? Thanks in Advance!

Hi! I got a checklist for not having some complete documents. I even asked NVC if I can just submit it during the interview date, but they said NO. Now I have to wait another 60 days to review my documents again. Hope this helps
-
Or you can call NVC. It's what I did cause I never got an email. I had to call just to know if they received the documents
-
So, we knew it and got that feeling that we will gonna get a checklist, we hired an attorney and gave us a list for the IV packet documents that we needed, nbi clearance was never stated in there instead it was police clearance and as I have been on here most of the time by the time I sent our packet, I later found out that nbi clearance is actually one of the document we need. We really thought we could never go wrong with lawyers assisting us, but lesson learned. Anyways,
Question: I just submitted my nbi clearance today, does it actually takes 60 days again before they review it? We actually thought we will gonna be having a January interview, looks NOT! Hopefully everyone is having a smooth and fast process!
-
Filipino beneficiaries aged 16 and above are required to submit the green NBI Clearance (for travel abroad) to NVC.
What kind of police clearance did you submit?
Police clearance stating that I don't have any criminal record.
-
So, I have been seeing some posts here about the nbi clearance, does it actually includes in the IV Package? We have a lawyer and he didn't tell us we have to submit nbi, all we submitted was the police clearance which he mentioned. NVC didn't check our package yet, and I'm afraid we missed some documents, cause if so, that's another 60 days of waiting from what I heard. Please help! Another question: If we really need the nbi clearance, I can always get it in just a day, can we just submit it to the NVC before they open our package, do we have to inform them about it? No one wants to double the waiting, cuz every step takes forever! Thanks guys!

Hi guys! So we sent our AOS and IV packed and they received it September 28, 2014. We tried to call and see if there is an update but they told us they haven't opened our package yet. I'm worried that they need more documents from us/ we missed some documents, I believe we don't cause we have a lawyer that helped us.
Question: how long does it actually take to get our case complete? Does it actually takes 60 working days??
-
Well, I just recently used DHL when I sent my hubby two documents as well, (police clearance and birth certificate) they charged me the minimum payment, of course it depends from where the location is. I got charged like 60 dollars and that's it.
-
Well, I WANT to use DHL very badly. I trust their service, but as I said...We cannot seem to get the information to produce a quote.
We keep getting "Product not available between this origin and destination given shipment parameters"
May I ask what you paid for DHL shipment of documents? Like I said, it's only two documents, a hand-signed I-864 and a birth certificate., it cannot possibly be more than 0.1 kg
-
FedEx or DHL either way is good based on our experience, a lil bit expensive but it's worth it. Takes about 3 days. USPS took a week when hubby sent some documents soooo, use what's convenient for you! good luck!
-
Our expedite reasons are different, but it sounds like you were approved while waiting for your IV fee, meaning you did not send in your IV Packet yet either.
At the time of our expedite, all we had completed at NVC was
AoS Fee PAID
DS-261 COMPLETE
Once approved, it was forwarded immediately to the embassy and we were told not to send any further documentation to the NVC and to direct all questions, fees, and documents to the embassy. So you should be expecting a response from your embassy very soon.
It can't hurt to send the embassy an e-mail with your Case # from NVC and "Expedited Case" as the subject in about 2 or 3 days to confirm they have received.
They will guide you from here on out.
Thank you! Hopefully everything goes quick and smooth! Wish you good luck as well!

Hi guys! My husband is possibly deploying in Africa this January, he just called NVC and was told on the phone that expedite got approved without them asking any documents, is that normal? . I don't know if just the IV fee to get invoiced quickly ( we are currently on that step) is what just the expedition of the process covered or whole process until the case complete??? Can someone please let us know!!! Thanks
-
My husband called NVC, was told to wait till we get invoiced. It's over a month already! Anyway, the guy on the phone from NVC told hubby to complete ds260, but he can't find where to fill it up. Plus, we have a lawyer and asked about this, told us to wait till we get invoiced then we can do ds260.. Very confusing. Please help! Thank you!!!
-
Thank you! So sorry you have to undergo sputum! All the best for you!
-
Thanks mrsleman07. But we can't call the Islamabad embassy. Some guy answers the phone who is very rude and says "YOU CAN'T CALL HERE!" And their website says no phone calls too. (And yes, it's the sputum test).
oh wow really? I think it's a lil bit different to her embassy, a little bit strict I guess. Anyway, another instances is when you have undergone sputum test here, the hospital where you have undergone your medical exam usually the one that re-schedules the interview. I don't know if that applies where she from/
same as it is here, god bless you both!
-
Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that, seems like your wife just undergone sputum exam. You can always call her embassy and tell them what was the reason of why your wife didn't show up then get another interview date that's convenient for you and that is available! Good luck!
-
Hi guys, so we are under the CR1 Visa and we paid Aos and sent our aos package over a month ago, never got invoiced for our IV fee yet. Is it true I can have my medical exam done at st.lukes as long as I got a NVC letter with just my case number, by that I mean I don't have any interview date yet. I have read some here, saying they got their medical exam after sending aos package. Just what if the immigrant has to go sputum exam could save a lot of time just for example. How true is this? I want to do mine soon with my husband, he's coming here next week! Thanks in Advance!
-
Well, I hope not. Paid and sent ds261 August 5. Up until now, we don't have any development. Very frustrating. Ohh and the fee increases from 230$ to 325$. ;( fgsubmitted my ds 261 august 13th, still waiting. They told me 30 business days when i called yesterday
Also I dont really think they are waiting for today, They seem to be sending fees out for people who submitted the DS 261 around july 30, and some lucky ones from aug 10 and so
I-130 visa approved, now pregnant!

Slow down. Of course it is our kid. Lol. Hope you read everything first before making this kind of comment because I find it kinda insensitive one. My husband is in the military and we are thinking the future cuz he is possibly getting deployed soon. Thanks for the input though!
