- Beneficiary on life insurance policy's

- any Estate planning showing Wills, Power of Attorney, Medical Power of Attorney.

- anything with a common address

- Emergency contact at place of employment

We did not have utility bills, my wife was not on the DEED of the house, we did not submit an affidavits. We did send in joint financial account from about month 8 of our marriage to the two year point. We showed a common address and in the cover letter I stated that we are filing this petition to ROC as a couple that wants to spend our lives together and not to circumvent immigrant laws. We were approved in 86 days with no interview back in 2012.

It is about two people who start merging their lives as a "normal" couple would. Each situation is different and the evidence you have is different. You give them what you have and see how it goes. I would not try to manufacture evidence at this late hour, but would rather let your relationship stand on its own merits as it is.

You might get denied but guess what... you will have a court date and if you prove it to the judge - the decision can get overturned. And you can always reapply. I wasn't married for a gc therefore I wasn't shaking over every piece of paper and I should have. I know plenty of couples who don't even have a joint bank account but that's the paperwork that matters to USCIS.

I am working through the paperwork required to submit my removal of conditions application and I have come up against a few issues. The first being the Affidavits. A couple of years ago we moved away from our friends and a few hours north, so it is very difficult to both get an affidavit and I feel odd asking people we rarely get to see to write one for us. I don't know what to do about this. Any ideas? Bite the bullet and just ask anyways?

Secondly, it asks yet again about all criminal history. I provided an ACPO for my K1, a second ACPO for my Adjustment of Status, and now I'm being asked again. I only have one copy left, should I just submit this or send a photocopy? It was all for retarded rubbish from teenage years (2 instances of graffiti) but being asked for the same thing three times is ridiculous.

Finally, my husband and I have one shared account and one credit card. All the other credit cards are in his name as I have no need for them. Our house is also in his name because I didn't have a job when bought it, and our utility bills aren't in our names either. All we have are the joint account, drivers licence photocopies as proof of joint address, and our taxes filed together.

Because of all this I don't actually have much 'proof' of our marriage aside from photographs and maybe screencaps of my Facebook from days out we've had together. I'm a little worried that it isn't going to be enough.

As long as you don't have 5 felonies - you r fine. And seriously.... go and fight for your papers. Awkward or not - go and get EVERYTHING. And don't waist your time either. They don't like when you send additional evidence last minute. All they want is your statements for every month.

USCIS is an paperwork processing agency with very clear guidelines. They need financial stuff. Especially for removal of conditions: bills covering the whole period of your marriage, not just 1 months. Insurances and utilities. You can prove the out of your real love but they need joint finances.

I'm getting ready for ROC on my green card which I received through a K1 visa, and the instructions for the I-751 seem to require at least two affidavits, but on the guide for ROC here it says they are optional. I have plenty of other evidence (lease, joint bank accounts, taxes, etc.); are the affidavits required? I can get them if need be, but if they're not necessary it's one less thing to worry about. I know it's best to err on the side of caution, though.

Make sure it's not a friend of yours from Mexico or whatever. An American who knows you BOTH and actually knows you as a couple. I think that it matters and means a lot to have a person who can give a legal statement proving your bona fide marriage. But honestly I sent all that stuff and all they need is paperwork showing you sharing your assets. Period.

We have medical/dental/vision insurance together, car insurance, copies of our bank account, new pictures from last time, and a tax return from last year (although it has do not file printed on it as it is a viewable version, so i hope they don't mind this in big letters). I tried to print it without that, but it won't let me. I feel like we don't have much, but we have lived with our folks for almost a year now, so we don't have any utility bills, and the ones we did have prior were sent last time.

Any bills or even receips...carpet cleaning or pest inspection even. Flight tix...hotel reservations. Everything counts.

Attorney helps. I'm calling mine tomorrow and having a serious conversation about this . She should have warned me about this "rule" so that I had a chance to file everything correctly the first time and warn me about all that stuff when I was releasing him from my phone acct, closing the bank account and moving out. But again, I can't magically change the way everything happened on paperwork. So talk to your lawyer and please share the wisdom!

I'm in an exact situation. I guess you should just send EVERYTHING you have even if the dates of your paperwork don't cover the whole time of your marriage. My ex husband and I decided to live separately for a couple months and try to work out our issues at a distance but things only got more complicated and we filed for divorce. So I got a letter saying that they have a problem with the fact that my lease ended in November and we filed for divorce 4 months later. But come on, its life and I'm pissed because I was married in good faith and exactly because my marriage was real and happens my papers aren't fitting into their guidelines.... Obviously! When we filed for divorce in February my ex was pissed and didn't wanna file taxes together and we closed our bank account before we got legally separated...he didn't even have a real job! He sold his stupid car and had no money to invest in a home. I can rant about it forever.. So I'll be pulling all those papers out of my a$$
