Not sure if this is right forum for this but I'm trying to get a status update on the production of a green card (which paid for back in May) in the USCIS website. I guess if you've paid the fee before August 2015, you are not able to log in anymore with your account. To make a long story short, they provided a link where you can get a status update by entering the receipt number. My question is this. Is the receipt number the same as the case number? I tried entering the MNL number but it keeps saying that it's an invalid number. Any ideas? Thanks. I guess I can just call them on Tuesday..

I have a friend who is petitioning his 2 year old step son. The son has a scheduled interview in 2 weeks at the US Embassy. The child's grandmother will be accompanying the step son because the mother is already in the US. What kind of questions do they ask the 2 year old? How will the interview go? Will there be questions asked to the grandmother? If so, what questions should the grandmother expect?

As for my wife's green card, I've already paid the green card fee online. Will they know that she's already here in the US? I mean, how long will it take to arrive in the mail?

My wife and I went to the Social Security office yesterday to inquire about her social security card. They told my wife to come back after 3 weeks because she has to be in the US for three weeks. Did they give her the correct information? My wife arrived last Sunday here in California.

The child is 2 years old. when you say registering you mean to say he does need to have his step son get that cfo sticker on the passport right?

My friend is petitioning his stepson to come to usa. His wife of course went through the CFO process. Does his stepson have to go through the CFO process as well (cfo sticker, etc)?

The card should come a couple of weeks after she enters the USA, The stamp in her passport will get her by until is shows up. But it doesnt generate until after she enters the USA

They should have your address from your paperwork, I am assuming you are speaking of the fee for your card from entering the US. Just print a copy of your receipt to have on hand.

Thanks. I actually called and made sure. Do you know how long it normally takes to be delivered? I want to know if it'll come before I pick up my wife at the end of the month.

An appointment is not needed to get the sticker. They need to bring the CFO certificate for the seminar, their passport with visa and should be good to go... except for more $$$$

Hi Hank, the CFO site says to bring a copy of the data summary sheet. Would you she need to bring the original DO NOT OPEN envelope too or can she leave that at home and just bring the copy? Thanks.

Thank you for the link. It answered my question. Basically, my wife will just need the DO NOT OPEN envelope that came with the visa and of course her passport.

Besides the DO NOT OPEN envelope that came with the passport/visa, what other documents, if any, does my wife need to have with her at POE? Thanks.

Finally, my wife received a text from 2GO saying that her visa will be delivered today.

I130 sent 6/12/2014. Visa will be received 1/29/2015.

After a few days, we finally got an update on the 2GO website. It now says "in transit". YES!!

Try tracking at the 2go website using your MNL case number or passport number.

I never saw her post. What were the answers?

My wife's visa status became "issued" on Jan. 22. Just checked again and the date updated to Jan. 26 but still says "issued". Does this mean that 2GO still does not have my wife's passport/visa?

Approval was on jan14 teddy so it took almost 2 weeks

My wife's should come soon then I hope. Her interview was on the 15th.

Psst! The OP is an IR/CR-1, they are already married, which is an immigrant visa, green card is issued within a couple weeks of arrival in USA (once all fees are paid)

I don't think CR1 has a confirmation email only k1..I am a CR1 category

My wife is also CR1 and she received a confirmation email with the interview letter. However, I also cannot find where the UID number is. Anyway, her case number still comes up as invalid when tracking with 2GO site.

It says for US visa inquiries, use passport number but when I entered my wife's passport number, it comes out as invalid.

That is true for sure, we had ours setup to be delivered to 2GO office near us, only to learn later that office had been closed, and 2GO did not try to contact us... we called.

Did you say there is no status on USTRAVELDOCS? If not status there, that usually means your package is ready for 2GO or they already have it.

Hi Hank, for my wife's status on USTRAVELDOCS, we get this message after typing in the passport:

It pays to call the airlines after getting a refusal with the notation that you must be in the Philippines to buy a ticket (which is hogwash). Just call back till you get the right person. Buying a ticket online from their website should get you pass all these imposed rules. I bought three tickets one way using PAL with connecting to Delta without any problems.

Sometimes you just have to do an "end around" to get over these obstacles.

That's exactly what I did. I ended up talking to a girl that was very helpful.
