  1. Hi Justin,

You only need to enter the US on the VWP (Visa Waiver Program) this doesn't change until the K1 visa has been issued and then you have to use that to enter the US.

I will be using the VWP to visit my fiance in California at the end of this month, so I was just starting this thread to see if I will be turned away at immigration or not!

I was only worried because I have used the VWP a few times last year and I have heard stories of people being turned away.

Looks like if I take enough evidence with me I should be fine. Plus my fiance is coming back to the UK with me for the summer before we use the K1 visa to enter the US, so thats evidence enough that I will leave if you ask me!

  2. Hello everybody,

I am thinking about going to vist my fiance in the US for the duration of April and a few weeks of May, as it feels like we haven't been with each other for ages. She is finishing up her college semester and then wants to come back with me to the UK for a few months until we get the visa sorted for me to go back to the states again in the Summer.

Do you think that I will be okay entering the US with a K1 in process if I bring evidence of ties to the UK (i.e. letter of employment, utility bills, etc?). It kinda worries me because I would hate to get all the way to LA and refused entry.

I could wait for everything to be completed but we are both really fed up and need to spend time with each other for a while.

Has anybody got any experiences of soing this and what happended with them at the US airport?

    Thanks guys,

    Tom

  4. Arghhhh... I got an RFE today in my inbox when I woke u this morning. A little bit of a suprise really as we thought we had covered all of the requirements and filled in all the forms correctly.

Still at least they are looking at our case and we might be approved soon, just don't really know what they might need.

Does anybody have any advice on the RFE process and any experiences would be grately recieved.

    Many thanks,

    Tom

  5. Congratulations! I am really happy for you both.

I really can't wait to be feeling the relief of an NOA2. Starting to worry now because quite a few people are being approved after me!

I Keep thinking bad things like "Is there a problem with our case" or "What if we get put on Administrative Review". I can't wait for the constant worrying to be over.

Plus its Valentines day next week and I have already missed our 1 year aniversary on the 28th January :-(

Well done you guys you deserve it and good luck in the following stages.

  6. Hey Everybody,

Lets hope that this week is going to be a good week. I really really really would love an NOA2 this week more than anything!

It would be so nice to be able to say to my love that it has been approved and that we might soon have a date in mind to be together again.

I don't think I have ever done anything that is so emotionally draining as this!!!!

  7. I am also in the same boat as you. My NOA1 is 28th October and still I have not heard a thing other than a response to an email I sent earlier this week.

I hate the limbo too and this is only the first stage but it will all be sorted in the end. Just make sure that you have something to keep you going such as looking at photographs and remembering the good times you have had together.

    Sounds soppy but it helps!

I am really hoping that all of the October NOA1's get NOA2's in the next week or so but you just never can tell....

  8. Thanks for the replies guys.

I don't tend to use USCIS timescale predictions too much, but it often feels like the only thing you can vaguely plan around. Hopefully, they may have started to at least look at our case rather than leave it in a big pile somewhere!

I will difinately come and contribute more to the CSC/TSC list.

  9. Hello everybody,

I sent an email to CSC yesterday and this was the response recieved today. Does anybody know if this is good or bad?

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or

notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this correspondence.

    Officer Hopkins, CAO

    California Service Center

    Customer Relations

    Thanks,

    Tom

  10. Thankyou everybody,

I was only really doing it all now because I have nothing else to do whilst waiting for CSC!

Is it even worth doing it now or should I wait for packet 3?

Also Keigwyn mentioned tht you can get things notarised at the post office. Is that possible in all US post offices or only a few? My fiance only mentioned she could get things notarised by a specific notary service which costs quite a few dollars by the sounds of things.

Once again thanks for your help.

  11. Hello everybody,

I am just wondering whether I need to have my fiance and her co-sponsor fill out an I-134 or 1-864 affidavit of support form.

I will eventually be having an interview in London and wondered which form was required. I am really confused because different places state different forms.

    Many thanks,

    Tom
