Many Filipinos are wondering why they have paid so much on their internet connection yet they can't reach 3mbps of connection.
Most subscribers are unaware of the technical side of it, and have been fooled by PLDT's FALSE advertisement.
Here's what everyone needs to know. It's more fun in the PHILIPPINES. LOL
The main reason why Filipinos are paying more for slower internet connection compared to other countries is because PLDT acts as the country’s own backbone, able to control all the flow of internet traffic from Philippines to the outside. ISPs are also required to pay PLDT for using its ‘fake’ backbone instead of relying to real backbone service providers like PACNET to properly handle the data exchange for this country. How PLDT Deliberately Keeps Local Internet Traffic Slow and More Expensive In Philippines

I have the same issues trying to call on some of my gf's in Philippines also.
Kinda frustrating........
It is much more frustrating when you're in the Philippines and use Smart or Sun. Here's the thing, Smart has this "nakaw load" or getting your load without you knowing it.
Smart is a CHEATER!
Sun? They don't have much coverage in the country. Both does not have good signal at all.
Smart and Sun are actually one.
Visited PH and I'm not gonna use Smart ever again.
Just want this to share to everyone!

Globe?
No, I am talking about Smart. Anyway, i've got answers to this incredibly annoying PLDT service.
Not only me got the same problem. Now, I don't have to dwell too much on this as i will definitely be filing a complaint my unacceptable data service from PLDT/Smart.

Why are there some hotels in the Philippines use a Smart/Sun mobile number? But when dialed it is always out of coverage area?

Okay. Here’s what aggravates me to the point of tearing off my Smart sim card.Yes, as my subject says, it’s their data signal coverage. Even turning on my roaming signal, still I will have 0 kbps download speed. It’ll take me than an hour to roam around to get the perfect signal for me to just get in touch with my email. It’s crushing my temper!
The hardest thing about connecting is that you’re two

THE Internet is among the very few things that stand between me and a complete nervous breakdown. Because it is true that the world is increasingly becoming ever smaller and hyper-connected, so that, I think, the books have changed and the five basic needs of man are food, water, shelter, clothing and Wi-Fi.
