  1. Hi,

I am currently filling out the online DS-260 form on the NVC web page. Towards the end of the form it asks you if you have a social security number. I do have one that i received when I studied in the US. However mine has a notation "valid for work only with DHS authorization". The following question asks if I need a new caed issued once I have been approved for the green card. Does any one know if my SSN is still valid or if should say that I need a new card issued once approved?

Appreciate all the help I can get!

  2. Hi,

Need a little help filling out the I-864.

Me and my wife just got married in may. We just sent in our I-130 packet. I am Swedish citizen and she is the US citizen.

Right now we are just preparing the I-864 and need a little bit of help with that. She makes less than the poverty line since she only works in the summers and spends the rest of the year with me in Europe. So we are planning on having her parents sponsor me. They run a family business and they file their taxes as one household.

So my questions are the following.

    1. The second affadavit we are filling out for her parents. Should there only be one form since it is one household or two because they are two people?

    2. Will her parents check the only joint sponsor box in case they are doing it as a household?

    3. My wife has the same adress as her parents but is independent from them. Will that cause any issues in our application?

    4. In part 2 on the form are they asking for my (immigrant) address or my wifes (US citizen) address?

    5. I have a six figure savings account along with a six figure investment account in Sweden, Can I put that information in the form somewhere?

    6. My wife does her taxes thru H&R Block, can I just do a print out from there and it will suffice as her tax income statement?

    Thank you for your help!
