  1. What is the advantage of getting your case number from the NVC by calling, rather than waiting until it hits your consulate? Are you able to get a head start on certain things (background check, etc..) by having your case number prematurely? or is it just to keep your mind at rest knowing they gave you a case number and things are moving along?

Congrats on the recent approvals by the way, hoping everybody from June gets taken care of before Christmas.

  2. Andies:: It's the 11th... I will trust me.

Riddy: Something to look at, maybe I'm not reading it right but there hasn't been a single thailand petition approved in AWHILE. We're the first on the list waiting you guys second for Texas thai petitioners. When you filter it for Thai petitions it makes me go rut rho!!! There are about 6 of us in June and if none of us gets anything in another month i would suspect the state department has something going with Thailand.

I thought you got approved after you signed up for an account, or am I mistaken you for someone else?

    1. Hey Riddy.... seems like Thailand filers get low creed and we get to wait. I am first in line for Thai filers who don't have an noa2 yet. noa1 date 6-5-14 Good thing is the Thai embassy usually gets an interview 2 months or less from noa2. They don't take files in order so who knows whose going to get picked next, but it seems Texas center has decided to take the week off. Nothing yesterday or today so far.

I wish you the best. Thai people also have trouble getting a B2 visa, decent amount of fraud coming out of Thailand. My fiance resides in Hong Kong, therefore we are filing out of that area. I'm wondering if that makes a difference in the whole process, do they look at where she resides or where her passport origins from?

  3. I have actually thats why i built this program because there is no pattern. so all you have is figuring out the EXACT amount between the last approved file and any given SRC.

Keep in mind that even though there are about 340 i-129 F apps in front of you (i do have you on my list), TSC DOES NOT work in any order. Instead they work by batches based on the date of NOA1. this is when your file has cleared the initial checks (the checks that initiate the first round of RFEs /if applicable). after this process it goes into the TSC BLACK HOLE, then goes into the current batch processing where they check the files ahead (up to 3 weeks) for completeness (this initiates the second round of RFEs / if applicable). All other files that did not get an RFE will go to the next step which i believe to be the absolute bottleneck and the reason for delays.

this explains why some people of later batches get approved before earlier batches. they all arrive to the bottleneck at different times.

I know this wait sucks, but i encourage you guys to memorize this scripture and call it out when you feel anxious,

    Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

    Josh

Thanks for the answer... yea the wait is brutal, it's important to keep busy. I picked up a second job while waiting to save more money for a honeymoon, wedding, or whatever else we need. I would absolutely love a quick K1 visa, but the longer i wait the more money i'll save, trying to focus on the positive and be productive with the time.

Thanks again for the information you have provided, take care

  4. Hi Josh, I must say you have done some great work. I got a quick question.

The last petition approved was 295095 and mine is 311683. That leaves approx 16,000 various filers in front of me. Have you figured out the average number of i129f's petitions among all other filers, lets say in about 10,000? If its easy to conclude I would be grateful to hear the number. If it's a pain, don't worry about it. Again thanks for your great work.

  5. I did not mean to upset anyone here when I posted that we were approved. Not that you care, I just thought i'd let you guys know and maybe a cheer up that they are now working on June filers. Some may find it insensitive but I had no intention of such whatsoever. I never thought it would get negative reactions from some of you here.

    Good luck, everyone!

Congrats Holiday.. good luck with the rest of your process

  6. Unless you are an expedited claim you are gong to wait 6 months or more for a noa2. THAT'S IT PEOPLE!!

Although I agree everybody should prepare to wait at least 6 months and the VJ timeline is irrelevant, I think people, including myself, are hoping that the transfers will slightly help our wait time. I wouldn't give up hope "PEOPLE!!!" but I would start thinking a little more realistically. Good luck
