  1. Ok, my interview was today at St. Paul MN. I arrived 30mins before scheduled time and I waited for about 45mins to be called in for interview. I was prepared but as always I relied on God's grace and perhaps a good interviewer. As I was waiting to be called in, I saw about three people who failed the interview and were given some kind of flashcards and new Civic book wrapped. That was worrisome! Anyway, I was called in and before I was offered a seat, he made me swear that I would tell the truth and truth alone. Okay, I was seated and we reviewed my application packet "the Yes and No sections". Asked if I knew the date I got married, when I came here, when I became a permanent resident, my husband's career etc. He breezed through, I had not travelled out of US since I came, no traffic citations, no nothing. Lol! Since I am proud of my achievements in school and nursing career, I had sent in my School transcript and he liked it a lot ( I just sent anything that would make me stand out and not a liability if I become a citizen, I don't think we have to send things like transcript though). He asked about my career and what I do. Lol! he smiled and that made me feel comfortable. Then, the reading and writing part "Where is Washington D.C?"

    then onto civic questions:

what is the capital of your state?

    who vetoes the bill?

who do we pledge allegiance to?

    who is the 1st president?

where is the statue of liberty?

who did America fight in ww2? ok I answered one country but because I was looking into his eyes and trying to get the nonverbal cues, I realized that something was a miss, I asked him politely, do you want me to name all or just one and he answered me "All" then I named them all three.

Then he said, congratulations, you have passed the test. Then he said, " if you can wait for 10 mins, I will give your oath letter because your oath is at 2pm today, he explained that they do this to Wisconsinite residents"

So, I waited for 10mins and there was my letter. I became US citizen at exactly 2:30pm.

There were 20 countries represented and the total new citizens were roughly 30 people.

This journey has ended but I am so blessed to be part of this great nation, I am blessed and my dreams have become real as I walk in faith and sincerity.

To those who are waiting, keep the fire of faith going and God will surely see you through.

N/B To KASH2011, thank you for your unwavering support and entering data on VJ timeline. God bless you and God bless all VJ users!

  2. On August 18, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400. This is exactly two days after my GC 3rd year anniv. I am not sure this is what I wanted at this time when I am getting ready to go back to school on Monday but, oh well.... it is what it is. I projected my interview around December when I am out of school. Lol! I can't wait to see the date of the interview

  3. On July 16, 2015, we started the interview scheduling process for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC............. We will send you an interview notice. (Kinda one month to my anniv. of 3yrs)

Please would someone update my timeline. Again, I am currently out of town, will be taking State Board exam to be licensed as a Nurse tomorrow Friday. All I need is prayers! please pray with me folks!

  4. I got the same letter...so we are skipping Biometrics I guess...

this is just my 2cent advise. If any of you have the letter that indicates "The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate your personal information is as follows:

    Date of Birth: XXXXX

    Address Where You Live: XXXXX

Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the address or phone number listed below if there are any changes.

Upon receipt of all Required Record Checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS field office."

Just know that I too received the same letter on 8th June and my biometric was on 30th June. unless otherwise your letter has a different write-up.

Your bio appointment is on the way!

  5. They offer same day oath ceremonies to residents who live far away so that you don't have to make an extra trip for the oath. Atlanta does the same for applicants from Alabama.

This should have no impact on when you get your interview.... that'll take as long as it takes. You'll probably be roughly 4 months behind the February applicants unless things speed up. But it's hard to judge based on only one February case and one May case... they may both be unusually slow cases.

It is extremely uncommon for someone to be naturalized in under 4 months from the date of the application however. Most places take 5-8 months and some take longer. Your office would be exceptionally fast if you had your oath ceremony in August.

Thank you for the reply JimmyHou. That was insightful

  6. Okay , I did my bio yesterday Tuesday that went pretty cool as always. I asked the manager how long will I have to wait to get scheduled for interview, he said about 6weeks. why was I asking the question? I realized that a VJ members in Feb and one in May has not been scheduled for interview and that worries me " they all are St. Paul's MN office". But when I check St. Paul's MN website they say "Same-day administrative ceremonies are conducted for western Wisconsin residents on a monthly basis" Could this make a difference as I am western Wisconsin resident? Any thoughts? I have to travel out this December.

  7. The above application has been received by our office and is in process. Our records indicate you personal info is as follows XXXXXXX

You will be notified of the date and place of your interview when you have been scheduled by the local uscis office. You should expect to be notified within 60 days of this notice" it almost seems like my biometrics is gonna be waived and I'm just waiting for interview sched.. hmmmm

Either someone in the main office has done a mistake or your bio is waived for real. Its a mixed feeling especially if no one has the same report from the previous timelines or our June timeline. If I were you, I would relax and give it sometime, check if other June filers has the same outcome. If not then I would contact tier 2 for assurance. Thanks for sharing with us!

  8. Did your case status change online?

yes, before I got my bio letter, this was the writing on my case status online on June 18th till to-date. " On June 18, 2015, we scheduled you for a fingerprint appointment and mailed you an appointment notice for Receipt Number NBC.............

Not very sure if this happens to everyone. In the previous posts someone mentioned that they received bio letter/ interview letter with no change of status online. Thanks

  9. wow! there must not be a whole lot of June filers this year? This is 5 days old already and i would think this is atleast 2-3 pages by now.. I will be filing this month but not until the middle of the month! God bless to us all, and praying for speedy processing for everyone!

I have been thinking the same thing too. Hopefully folks will file in the middle of the month or late. Thank you and all the best to you too.

  10. Hello KASH2011, glad you are still here to help VJ's applicants. I would be glad if you add me on the June fillers. My GC date is 08/16/2012. Sent in my application on 05/29/15 on Friday through attorney, I figured out it will be there by Monday. Will add more info as they come. I live in Wisconsin and I believe I belong to St. Paul's MN local office.Once again, thank you!

  11. When or how do I get a tracking number for the GC? What carrier is it? UPS? I know I have read posts about it but I can't find any right now. Thank you everyone for the wonderful support and information on this site. Now on to English classes and citizenship.

This is what happened to my case, they ordered production of my card on 24th July, on 29th it changed to my card had been picked up, then today 30th July, the status has changed to USPS has picked up my card and gave me the tracking number and USPS website. When I checked the website, it indicated that the card/mail left KY at 2.02pm and indicated that the expected arrival would be Saturday August 2nd. Am sorry am not good in explaining things but hope this helps.
  12. Hello fellow vj'ers. first time poster here..been a follower from since we started the process initially with k1. then switched to cr1. anyway, we recently sent in our packet for request of the removal of conditions on my GC. I received my biometrics appointment on june 28th for july 18. I did an early walk-in yesterday to the ASC in Indianapolis. when the lady was taking my fingerprints, I saw for sure in the monitor that there was one finger that showed as "not passed". I told her about what I saw and she just told me, it was okay.. I felt like i didnt have the right to insist on retaking the fingerprint for that finger while i was still there, and now I'm worried to the max that it might delay my processing because of that. I dont know what to expect. Should I really not worry? Anyone here experienced seeing a "miss" on the monitor for fingerprinting and was told it was okay, and indeed, it was okay since there wasn't the need to re-do it? I would really appreciate any response! Thank you

Yeah, I had the same scenario at Duluth center. In my case, the lady was being trained and anytime she miss the mark, she would correct it ASAP. Again some people do not like to be told anything. Next time you see something like that, its better you insist talking to the big boss. I do not have any idea if it will delay the process, but incase there is a hitch, they will mail you for a retake. wish you all the best and peace!
