  1. Am a Ugandan citizen and my fiancé a US citizen, he filed for a K1 visa in July 2013 but unfortunately my fiancé was once convicted of a crime in 2009. He recently received a notice of intent to denial unless he gives evidence of having no risk to the beneficially. However may fiancé has no evidence to give, he is disappointed and at the edge of giving up. What should I do?

  2. Status on USCIS website says our address was changed on March 10, 2014. Called and talked to the supervisor of an upper level official today and they said that there was indication that it was still involved in security check. Prior to today another high level official told me that the security check was completed and they were close to making a decision. That was in early May sometime. I get the feeling like the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing at any gov't bureau, this one being no exception.

  3. Hey this is the groom back in America, I have updated our timeline. We have not received NOA2 yet. NOA1 was beginning of August, transferred to Vermont in November and now have just been stonewalled by the call center. I have put in 3 service requests in the past 6 months (One was on behalf of my congressman) with nothing but the same e-mailed response of "your case is pending adjudication and we cannot provide you with a time as of now" .... Or something close to that. We are frustrated and just looking for advice or at the very least stories from couples in similar situations. Thank you everyone for your input. :-)

  4. hullo members,

am just new on this site and my question is, my fiance filed a K1 visa in July 2013 from Texas and we were later transfered to Vermot service centre in Aug 2013 from 15th Aug 2013 our case has been reading initial review. My fiance tried to contact the office about the delay of our petition case and the latest information he got from Vermot office was there is a delay in USCIS and they cannot tell when they will work on our case.

Has anyone gone through the same issue?

With such a situation what can one do, keep waiting without knowing when the case will be handled?
