  1. I'm still waiting on the P3 from Vancouver, and they emailed me back and said it was sent to my fiance in Calgary on March 26th. I know the mail up there can be slow at times, but it seems like 2 weeks of "being in the mail" would mean it was in his hands by now. I've emailed them to let them know he still hasn't received it, but no response. Good luck. I know how frustrating it is when you finally get to this point and have to wait AGAIN!

  2. Best of Luck you two!! Think positive!

    Congratulations!!

Love hearing all this good news! Good for my heart to know my VJ friends are finally get approved, united, and married!

We are still plugging away and haven't given up. The Embassy has told us to contact them in April. Pray for us! We need some good news.

Hang in there, too! Prayers and positive thoughts heading your way. I had to step away from VJ for awhile because we were getting so frustrated, so I'm feeling out of the loop with how most of our July filers are doing. Hoping you get fabulous news in April!!!!

  3. Hey Everyone!

So happy to read so many happy posts. We FINALLY got our NOA2 on March 3 after they lost our passport photos. I cannot wait for the rest of this process to move forward (hopefully). Our case is headed to Vancouver, so I'm curious how long this next phase takes. Any and all suggestions/comments will be appreciated! He's working on getting his police certificate (not sure how long that's going to take), but we're both curious how long it will take to get the next round of paperwork and schedule the medical and interview. Super excited, but trying not to get my hopes up too high after all the mess we've been through so far.

    Fingers and toes crossed!

  4. Ok, so after being away for quite some time trying to figure out whether or not we were shifting gears and having me move up to Canada instead, it looks like we're going to try to give this visa another go. Quick question. They lost our passport photos and we need to send them in again this week before the RFE deadline expires. How many passport pictures do we need to send again? 2 or 3??? Congratulations to all our July filers who have made it through the process!!!

  5. Omg! Well at least u heard something even if it was only on some BS. But I'm so glad it was finally looked at and not lost or ignored!! You're finally on ur way! I'll be praying for a speedy NVC to embassy journey! U def deserve it!! ?

Thanks for the prayers! We'll take all that we can get!

Hey that is great news... you have a positive line to follow now.... makes you wonder what happens to all the missing stuff and we have had our share of that.

I can imagine its tempting to deliver them in person just to see who these people are but I'm sure they are safely guarded...haha..

    .

Andie- yeah, I'm sure they're alot more protective of their safety than they seem to be with our applications - sure, they may "just be files" to them, but to all of us, it's our futures in their hands that seem to just be tossed about willie nillie without much care.

  6. Hey Everybody! Guess what I got in the mail today....almost FIVE MONTHS LATER? A freaking RFE. It apparently took FIVE MONTHS for someone to even OPEN our file, only to discover all that bouncing around from desk to desk (or whatever the heck they do with our files) must have dislodged our passport pictures. Seriously? ARGH!!!!

At least it is SOMETHING, though. Still frustrates me beyond belief. I made sure those things were very securely attached when I sent them. So nice to know they care so much about the hours and hours and hours of work we all put into creating our packets that they lose one of the most important parts!

Wheeeeee. It will be interesting to see how long it takes from here on out. Makes me want to take a road trip out to California and hand them to whatever person has our file!!

Thanks for everyone's moral support on this journey. Don't know what I'd do without those of you who have sent such kind/supportive posts and private emails.

  7. I am at wit's end. I just saw that someone who filed in NOVEMBER has been approved in 20 days!!! While I'm happy for this incredibly lucky couple, how can this all be so random?! My heart is breaking for everyone who has been waiting for this approval process to get us one step closer to being with our loved ones. There truly seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to who gets approved quickly vs those of us whose files must be stuck on some desk in an office somewhere. Ugh. Just needed to vent.

  8. If you are being processed at CSC and you are a June filer without an NOA2 something is definitely wrong! I would try and contact someone.....your file should have been processed a long time ago! The Texas center may still be processing June cases but California is processing September cases!

The lady I spoke to said even though they're showing that CSC is processing September cases, we "can't really file an inquiry" until the 5 months has passed. I may try getting our congressman/senators involved. At this point I will try anything.

  9. Thanks.

    I haven't seen Bonnie&Darren post much. I hope she's OK.

Hey Everyone. I have been beyond frustrated as of late. In fact, the frustration is wearing us down pretty badly. I know, that for many others, the wait on the Visa has been longer, but Darren and I have waited almost 30 years to be together. It was immigration red tape that kept us apart back when we were "kids" and wanted to be together, and it's just so exasperating to have run into the same stuff again so many years after finding each other again. After watching so many others get through the whole process in 4 months (some even less) we had so hoped for a New Year's Eve wedding...but at this point a summer wedding seems more realistic (if we're lucky). I guess we need to trust that it will all work out according to God's big plan, but it's hard to watch some people who filed well after we did get through with no "logical" explanation for their expedited statuses. Someone mentioned there might be an issue with a certain "quota" of Canadians...I have no idea if that is even an issue, but it's an interesting theory. One I don't have much energy left to explore, though. Whatever the reason, USCIS has made it clear that we can't even question it until the 5 month window has expired. THEN, we can start rattling the cage. I actually took today off from school because I have not been able to get past the long hold waits by the time I get home from work at night. After another LONG wait, I got to speak to a very nice lady at USCIS, who actually seemed to feel badly that she couldn't give me more information and genuinely appeared to "feel" for the frustration we're feeling (and for others in the same boat).

Alas, it appears we have no recourse until December 29th.

Sure hope things start moving for the big chunk of us late July filers who seem to be stuck in limbo. Truly happy for all of you who have been given the gift of your visa for the holidays. WIsh you all the best.

    Bonnie

  10. Happy for those of you who are moving on through this process. We have stalled with no reasonable explanation. People who filed well after we did have gotten their NOA2 and we can't get anyone to give us a reason why because we're not past the magic 5 month mark yet. Now looking into me moving to Canada instead, especially since the job market in our economy is not nearly as strong as it is up in Alberta. Going to be a huge change for this Southern California/Arizona native...but I am willing to do anything to be with my guy. This red tape (and no reasons why it's moving so slowly for so many of us while others are zooming through) is getting beyond frustrating. Wishing you all the very best and hoping most of you are able to be together for the holiday season!

  11. May I suggest everyone here who filed in July and early august and has not received an NOA2 all get together and call and politely let CSC know that, by talking to many, many others on a few forums you know many have already gotten their NOA2 's that filed after you did and think your files must have gotten assigned to someone who went out on a medical emergency or something.

If a bunch of people call and say we say people on these forum who filed after getting these notices we are concerned our files got lost or something, maybe someone will listen after a dozen call from different people.

Soooo true! Because it really does seem like something odd is amiss, especially with so many August filers getting through, but the late July filers are at a stand still. July filers, unite! Let's start shaking things up!

  12. Still waiting for NOA2, received NOA1 on the 17th of July. I guess it should be coming shortly?? When do I follow up with USCIS?

    Very frustrating....

    John

John - I hear ya! We got our NOA1 on the 31st of July, but there are a bunch of people a few days prior that have now gotten their NOA2, and a large amount of people who got their NOA1 in AUGUST. Incredibly frustrating and doesn't seem to make much sense. I'm wondering if our files got put on someone's desk who went on vacation (or works very slowly). The random timeframes are very strange. I've been put on hold a lot, and then have to hang up before anyone gets back to me, but I've had several people say they won't say much anyway because it "hasn't been 5 months." Good luck!!! Hoping for good news for all of us soon!

  13. Embassy has our case and website shows ready for interview. Everything going so fast! We are still getting last few documents together! Keep us in your prayers, please.

    Best of Luck!

So happy for you both! Best of luck, and I will keep you in my prayers. Please send some our way, too. We were so close in dates with you, but haven't heard anything. Still waiting on our NOA2.

  14. I was beginning to feel like I was losing my mind with waiting, so I reached out to my US Senator to get an update. Exactly a week later, I received the RFE text (now waiting for the hardcopy to arrive in the mail). I recommend trying it.

Thanks for sharing that story. My mom made a comment about contacting my Senator and I rolled my eyes thinking there was no way they'd have time to deal with that considering the elections around the corner. Now, I guess she wasn't far off base with her idea. At this point, I will try anything.

    Thanks,

    Bonnie

  15. I'm frustrated for you!

We just spent the weekend together. It's getting easier for us because we see light at the end of the tunnel. How much longer before you call USCIS and raise hell?

I'm a teacher, so it's almost impossible for me to reach them because I can't sit on hold forever. By the time I get home (after 6pm), it's too late to call. May end up taking a sick day just to be able to call them! I'm so frustrated. I just got to see him for the first time in almost 5 months, and we were so sure we were going to hear based on what everyone was posting. We've known each other since 1984, when we dated for several years and I provided TONS of "proof" of a bonafide relationship based on our last several years together since we reconnected. I just don't understand what is taking so long. We are suddenly really wondering if it would be easier for me to move up to Canada at this rate. I can't take much more of only seeing him a few days at a time every 4-5 months. I'm devastated. I know other people are dealing with the same thing...and many have waited even longer to see their loved ones, but this is becoming almost unbearable as I watch others who basically "just met" by comparison get approved ahead of us. I'm happy for anyone who has fallen in love and are finding success on their journey to make their happy ever after work, but we've waited sooooooooooooooo long to be together (over 30 years now - and it was the immigration red tape that broke us up when we were kids because it was an even bigger pain back then). ARGH! Sorry for venting, but I'm an emotional mess. It's really starting to wear me down.

Wishing you all the best...and praying we get good news soon.

    Bonnie

  16. I'm so happy for all of you who have received your NOA2s...wishing you a speedy next step! But ugh, we're getting so frustrated. My fiance had come for a visit this past week and we really hoped we would have heard by now. At this rate, I'm wondering if we would have been better to have me go up to Canada. I am so tired of having to say good bye at the airport.

  17. So the RFE was CSC needing passport photos of each of us......very frustrating because they were sent with the original form and paper clipped to the G forms as requested! Just love how we have to wait for months just to have them lose items that then delay our approval! Sending the photos AGAIN today!

Sooooooo frustrating! Hopefully, it won't take long once they get your photos again!

On the plus side, at least you know a human being has touched your file and you're almost there!
