  1. NVC not accepting phone calls says high call volume call back later? Our NOA2 was on 6/11/2015. Is there any other way to find the NVC status if received, Sent, etc...??? Thank you for all the help, Good luck and god bless all of you in the process.

Just keep calling, hang up the phone when you hear "Thank you for calling the National Visa Center, as the large volume of calls we are receiving......", and then redail.

I try this every time and I can talk to an officer every time.

  2. Hi Laz,

Your invoices might have been generated, they may have "forgotten" to send you your invoices.

About 2 weeks ago, I send all AOF supporting documents by email to the NVC, and then 2 days later I called NVC and asked when will I get my invoice. The officer told me to wait and she also said that the invoice is generated by a "program". However, about 2 hours after my call, I got my invoice in my email account, and on the invoice the invoice date is a few days before my call.

So calling NVC might be a good try to get your invoice.

  3. COA (DS261) is the first step without filling it you cant pay any fees. Just wait for ur COA and fill it once it turns up.

Ds261 is the choice of agent. It means you can appoint yourself as an agent and fill out your details in the form.

You can check ur status here: https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx Enter ur case number and invoice id number and you are good to go.

If it states "Start your application" then you have received ur COA (DS261)

Hi destroyed 92, thank you for your answer and it is very helpful. But I have one more little question: As clicked into the website you provided and found "Start your application", but I checked my email box and I still don't have the COA yet. So, should I now still wait for the COA? Or should I now "Start your application"?

Thank you very much in advance.

  4. my friend has PD 22nd oct2002 and he got AOS two days ago.

Do you have a lawyer in your case? if so call him/her as they will get your AOS/COA

Hi sachin, thank you for replying. No, I don't have a lawyer in my case, so should I just wait for the COA now?

yes...this is normal...my pd is NOV 2002, i have completed and submitted COA on ceac website.....and on fees payment page, under aos section the petitioner's name is not displayed right now....bcoz they are processing our aos fees invoice.......before i received coa, my petitioner's name was displayed there.......

check ur ds-261 status, if it is available then complete and submit it...

Thank you batman ;), so, is it right that I should now wait for my COA first and then complete the fees payments later? And could you please tell me where can I check my ds-261 status? And what does ds-261 mean please?

the same to me! how strange!

I tried but I can't complete and submit COA online

Hi! Do you mean you have received your COA pleasee?

  5. One more question guys:

Just now I checked my case in the Immigration Visa Invoice Payment Center, I can see that the place of Petitioner is now blank and there is no Affidavit of Support Fees to pay, but the Application Processing Fees are still there (not able to be paid), about few days before I can see my petitioner's name in the Affidavit of Support Fees, why would this happen, is this normal?

    Thank you very much.

  6. Hi everyone, it is so pleasant to see some of us got approvde!

I have a little question, would anyone please answer me please?

My PD is Oct. 2002, and I still don't got any notifications from the NVC, I wrote some emails to them about 6 months ago and they replied. So I assume that they have recorded my email address. Now, should I write an email and ask NVC what is the status of my case and when will I got the COA? Or should I just wait quietely?

Looking forward to your kind reply, and thank you in advance.

    Hi Baly.

For example, if you are a chinese, and your name is Zhang San (张三),then your "Full Name in Native Alphabet" should be 张三. Hope this can help you.

  9. Hi everyone,

My PD is oct 2002, could anybody kindly tell me when can I possibly recieve COA? And I hope the CSPA still works for me(my case got approved in 2009 so there should be 7 years for CSPA and I'm now 22).

And since I'm very new to English forums like this, I really would like some meaning of the words you guy use, like i/l and COA and PCC. Could anybody please explain to me? Thank you very much.

  10. The US Supreme Court ruled that derivative beneficiaries in the F3 and F4 categories can not benefit from automatic conversions and retention of their parents' PDs. Only the children who aged out in the F2a category can take advantage of automatic conversions and retention of their parents' PDs without a new I-130 because the petitioner could have filed separately for the spouse and child. These aged out deriivative beneficiaries automatically convert to F2b cases without the need for a separate I-130.

The section of CSPA that allows for the deduction of time it takes USCIS to approve the I-130 is still deductible for CSPA purposes for all beneficiaries and derivative beneficiaries. So, F3 or F4 dericative beneficiaries who are over 21 can still take advantage of this provision of CSPA.

Thank you for your detailed answer Sirin. It is our fortune to have such a member in the forum.

  11. Dear friends, I'm a new member of this forum. My name is Rio and I'm from Mainland China.

I'm desperate and frustrated after the news about aged-out children as I maybe (or already am) one of them.

Can anyone kindly tell me if I can still go to USA with my parents?

My situation: F4 category, PD: 2002.10.22 , my father is the main beneficiary.

and I'm now 22 years old.

Can anybody tell me? Thank you very much.
