  1. Wow 8 months!!! My husbands last name (RAMIREZ) was spelled wrong (RAMEIRZ). They really need to double check the work. It's very time consuming to have to send supporting documents to show that the error was theirs and not ours. He had his bio appointment on 9/18. So I guess now we wait the 8 months for the card to be issued?

    Hello,

Not sure if anyone has any info. or can help me out. I petitioned for my husband 2 years back. He was given a 2 yr gc because we were married less than 2 yrs. We reapplied to remove the conditions from his gc. Everything went good and received his 10yr card. However, his last name on the card was spelled wrong. We were told to submit an I90 with supporting documents to show that the error was NOT our fault. So we did. He received an appointment letter to redo his biometric. His appointment was on 09/18/14. We have not heard anything since. Does anyone know how long it is taking to hear back from them? How long are they taking to resend a card?

  3. Hello Everyone,

Please make sure to double check the information on your issued green card.

My husbands I-751 was approved... once we received his new 10yr green card his last name was spelled incorrect.

We were told to do the following:

    - Complete application I-90 (fees would be waived if you can prove it was USCIS error, if you made the mistake you will need to pay the application and biometric fee)

    - Send the incorrect LPR card

    -A letter explaining the error

    - Include supporting documents to verifying the correct Name Spelling (birth certificate, driver's license, marriage certificate, etc.)

Mail the application and supporting documents to your Service Center.

  4. It all boils down to the specific office, not the state. Scroll back through this thread and I posted a link to another thread with early walk-in reports. You might also want to search the forums, being that los angeles area probably has a lot of posts related to it.

Early Walk-ins are permitted at some offices, not at others. It is good for when you can't make a scheduled appointment. The consensus is that it doesn't make the process go any faster.

Thank you for sharing the link.
