  1. I was in a similar position, my list of "countries visited in the last 5 years" was more of an essay than a list. They didn't ask to see my old passport, but I would take it just in case. You may find yourself spending a little longer in AP due to going to the Middle East. I did, I'm assuming that's why.

  2. I don't think the printer or computer has been broken 3 weeks. Here's a few that hang out in this forum who recently interviewed.

Calling on the phone almost always gets the non-immigrant visa persons. They give answers to a different process and that is sometimes confusing or misleading. If you used the online contact form, there is the Immigrant visa choice to pick so hopefully you did that and got the correct department that is processing your visa. If yours was a security check AP, they will reveal nothing about that, even to a senator.

Which part is the security AP part? Whilst its immigrant or non-immigrant?

  3. I have a question about "Administrative Processing".

When a case gets stuck in AP, is it usually when the case is classed as a "immigrant visa application" on the CEAC website, or a nonimmigrant?

I've been stuck on there for a few days now and I'm wondering if any of these reasons could make a difference:

    1) No live trace on police certificate, supplied subject access. Got a caution for taking a bike when young and drunk :(

    2) My mum was born in Palestine.

    3) I recently spent 2+ months in India and on my list of countries I've visited in the last 5 years were India and Jordan (plus a load others)

    4) I lost my passport when in NY so had to get a new one just in time for medical + interview.

Our case has already gone from AP -> Ready -> AP again, but it seems like its taking longer than most to get issued.

  4. Ok, so I had been checking the status all day and nothing. It's now 22:18 in the UK, and I checked and we are in AP (we weren't an hour ago)???

I had called NVC to ask why it was taking so long. Did that push us to the next step? :P

Congrats guys, hope you see the issued soon. We've been stuck in AP since Friday, after thinking it'll be approved Monday. Hope you're not in the same boat as us.

  5. Interview on Thursday the 19th, CEAC changed to non-immigrant ready on the 20th early early early in the morning. Aaaaaaaand still sitting at Ready. I want AP. :/ I know the weekend doesn't count but with those days in there it feels like it's been forever! Haha.

Any luck today? We were hoping for ours to be Issued today as it changed to Ready on the 19th and then AP around 3pm on the 20th.

We're planning to get married on April 3rd, we're both nervous and stressed out about this.
