  1. Interview was today in New Delhi. They would not accept skype logs and phone records as proof of relationship. We were denied visa until more documentation is provided. They are asking for signed letters from each of our parents about our engagement (I am 35) also various repeated docs from the I129f. Sad day for us. From reading other's experiences it sounds like New Delhi typically sits on these 3+ months before changing status.

  2. We have an interview date: August 20th 11am. New Delhi Embassy. Traveling from Bhutan to New Delhi for the medical and interview all in the same trip was difficult due to the interview dates available at such short notice so we decided to break it into two trips. Went for medical exam July 24th and scheduled interview once that was complete.

I'm jealous of all the filers who are able to be with their partner so soon after approval. But it feels good to hear everyone's story and seeing this dream finally becoming reality. We are waiting for approval before handing in a 30 day resignation with her employer and will target flights for that time frame. So looking like late September, early October for us.

Thank you for all those sharing your stories and keeping us posted with your updates. It's somewhat therapeutic to have this forum and read everyone's experiences.

  3. Received a letter from the NVC stating that they have forwarded our case to the embassy in New Delhi India (Bhutan uses New Delhi Embassy). Created a profile on ustraveldocs.com website and submitted the DS-160. Now we are waiting for a letter/email from the New Delhi embassy. In the meantime I was trying to figure out how to pay for the Visa application fee for my fiance to the New Delhi embassy. From reading the payment options it appears payment methods are only possible from within India or Druk bank in Bhutan. I guess its just another hurdle to keep me distracted :-).

Hope everyone had a good 4th. Just think.....we will all be with our partners next Independence day.

  4. Hello, Is this topic specifically for those who filed I-129F in February 2014? Did not know about this section of the forum until now. I filed Feb 24th and currently waiting for Embassy in New Delhi to receive our case. Looks like most of the group have interviews scheduled or even POE dates. Congratulations. So exciting to see other member journeys.
