Good luck to everyone waiting for their interview!

yep..you are at the door now ,,happy for you my friend, I guess it mean your interview result granted if I am not wrong,my statu changed in to in line also ..hang in there,,jorney is so close to be done..

  8. Thanks Yavuz for your luck wish, I really need that. I actually called USCIS 10 days ago. The agent said that it must be background check taking longer for my case. Also she said that the average processing time for Raleigh, NC is 5 months, and my case is still under 5 months. Basically she just recommended me keep checking my mails for interview letter.

I dont have any background history other than a few traffic tickets (speeding only), and some business trips (each less than 6 months). I have been working at a leading large US corporation for 8 years. I dont understand why my background check is taking so long. Seriously it is really annoying to wait for interview letter while even July filers started already completing their interviews.

Anyway.. I wish good luck to everybody here waiting for whatever stage during their own journey.

you are welcome,i believe that that is background check delay..other then that I don't see it would be complicate like that,,i had been waited too long then average time when I got my first green card,,call centers,,infopass that everything I have done back then but nothinh had worked but only was waiting that I will hear something,,i see lot of case on the air like yours and I don't believe that the call uscis or infopass does something good,,,they are professional on their job and must be something like background check or busy time anything but I am sure it will be done somehow,,,a couple month late or early...just be patient and just watch don't pass the dead line like 6 months after fp,,,k.i.b

  9. Hi folks,

I just subscribed to this site today. I sent my package 3 months earlier than 5 years anniversary. I got finger printed on 30th June 2015 (early walk-in) and have not received any update since then. Unfortunately I cannot track my status online either as it still says "Case was received" and LUD is 11th June 2015. I see that typical timeline between finger printing and receiving interview letter is like 1 month, and I hope I am not stuck in background check! Good luck to everybody here, and my dates are as following..

  10. Thank you yavuzum10 for all your help, i am glad the most crucial task is over, Seeing your response relieves me a lot :)

you are wellcome..I am glad the hardest part of process done,,just stay eligible until the oath..dont get traffic ticket or something like that couse problem at the ceronomi because all I know the mail for oath will have a questiniory paper that we have to fill ..just enjoy your approval and wish we can get an oath day soon ..my city making oath 2 times a month it will be 4 September or 18 September,,i hoping it is at least 18 September if they do it fast :).good luck

  11. Hello Everyone , So finally I get to share my interview experience here. Please have a look at it give me your feedback as well.

So I arrived at 8.30 am for 9am appointment at Fairfax office,VA. Fortunately the line was moving faster , I got called in at 9.05. The interview office was quiet a young lady, She had a mix of seriousness as well as casualness in her approach. You can tell she meant business.

    1st Part

I swore in, She started asking 1)My Name ,Phone number, DOB, SSN, Address in last 5 years, ( So pretty much they have all the residential information, I say this because i had to live in Cali for 4 months from Jan to April and then I came back for good and then I applied for n400 in May. I never mentioned this in my n400 form because I didn't wanted to confuse them) Anyhow I explained why I lived there and how important was it for us for me to travel etc. She smiled

    2nd Part.

She asked later when did I get married? I said the date which me and my wife have known for years but surprisingly the date in the marriage certificate said something else and funny that we never noticed. She smiled but trust me I freaked out thought the interview is going to go downhill.

    3rd Part

She asked the last time I travelled abroad I answered that, although she asked why did the spouse didn't travel with me I mentioned that how my spouse doesn't like heat and humidity.

Rest everything was Yes ,No Q & A and then the writing, speaking and Civic test which was quiet easy.

She made notes of what I was saying everywhere in the form, it did kinda worried me.

    4th Part

She made me sign couple last pages of n400 and then gave me letter which said Congratulations, "Your application is recommended for approval" Also mentioned she doesn't have the dates for Oath ceremony yet but should be mailed in 2 weeks to me.

After reading the whole experience, Do you guys think I should be relieved now and the approval is confirmed?, because the letter says its recommended for approval and IF the approval is granted I have to appear at Oath ceremony which is quiet confusing. I wanted to enjoy this moment but considering I over think a lot it makes me worried lol.

Regardless I appreciate all the help and comments you guys post here, it wouldn't have been possible without the feedback and experiences you shared. Thank you VJ'

congrats ron,,I have same expreince at the interview and the approval paper he gave me says the same as yours,,there is nothing wory about it,,we passed but we have to wait themthat they will do t things done on app and give a oath date,,there were a couple blink section on the paper you got and yours is clicked approval and waiting for granted and it will be soon and u will get oath date and me as well ..just hoping soon : :)

  12. I am done with the interview today,,officer was very nice but it went really stressful then I thought..i applied for naturaliziation based on 3 years rule ..he asked me too many detail about marriage and personel that some things couldn't remember at the time like my wife phone number and house number . ans some more something like that but it was okey I guess.lol...my application has been recommended for approval at the spot,,question about test was easy and I answered all of them correct,,writing portion was Washington is the father of our country and don't remember what was the reading part but I guess it was the same..i don't remember really..my speaking English really not decent but not too bad for understand things,,it must be enough so that I passed the interview..so waiting for the oath ceremony now ,,I hope soon,,i have asked for name change on the app but I told the officer I gave up the change my name and it was okey,,thank you and good luck to people on the interview..

  13. So Ladies and Gentlemen, the countdown begins for me, I got letter in the Mail for my interview and it is scheduled for 24th August. Please update my timeline.

The title of the letter say "Request for Applicant to Appear for Naturalization Initial Interview" I am not sure what does Initial means, it got me confused to thinking if there's a second one already planned lol

My letter looks quiet standard, I had heard that in letter they send they mention specific documents apart from the standard ones like Green card, state id and Password.

I am guessing it could be because I provided most of the docs along with my application.

Correct me if I am wrong I should still take all the evidence and documents right?

hi ron 1305, I gor my interview letter also :) don't worry my letter says same as yours ,,it says initial interview also,,my interview date is 21th august....letter says bring all the documents you have sent with app..but says original in case,,not big deal..we have already all of them what they want..they have already all documents we have sent them but still they asking ...maybe in case they have lost or something else reasons,,,mayebe just letter says that because it is the mandatory or something,,good luck to you and everybody

  14. Hi Everyone, just a quick question. My local office is DC and i had filed my application at Dallas Lockbox.
