Hey everyone,
this is kind of a different topic, I know all the papers etc. I'm supposed to bring for my AOS interview and I already prepared most of them... but I'm just so stressed! I don't know what to expect. Is it anything like the visa interview? Do you just answer questions? How long does it take? I would feel so much better if I could hear about your experiences. I don't know anyone I could ask.
Also, kind of a stupid question, but do you think it's acceptable to hold hands with my husband at the interview, or is it gonna be seen as too ostentatious? After all, this is a marriage based AOS. My interview is on March 9. Thanks for any help.

Yes they do, I arrived to my last appointment an hour early and they took me in like 5 minutes after.

Thank you guys! That's really good news

First of all, thank you very much for your advice and support, especially trekkypj, you helped a lot!
Second of all, my notice finally came in the mail. It says I exceeded the 90 day period after entering the country. They included Form I-290B, notice of appeal or motion. Should I file that or just redo my EAD application? With my AOS receipt of course.

I paid for it, of course I did. I paid for my green card application too.
What I meant was nobody asked me for the $85 fee for fingerprints.
I feel like I've been pumping money into this country and not getting anything in return.

Hi everyone,
I just found out today that my EAD was denied and I'm pissed off to put it lightly. I did not yet receive the letter so I don't know why. I had my fingerprints taken and nobody asked me to pay a fee, do you think that might be one of the reasons? Also my husband and I (I'm on a k1 visa) think that it might have been denied because I filed for EAD BEFORE filing for green card.
Did anyone have a similar experience? What can I do now? Should wait until I get my green card and then try again?

You know it, my wife has tried teaching me Polish and we have not been very successful so far. I"m going to try one of those language programs to see if that works.
Maybe you could try www.duolingo.com I'm using that for Spanish

i understand how you feel. I've been doing this since march 2013, and still waiting. My case was complete 4/30 and I see so many people getting interviews, and I've gotten nothing yet in almost 2 months!!
Aww sorry... If I had to wait this long I would just plan moving to some other English-speaking country with my man... And honestly if he could come to Poland I wouldn't think for a second, just get him here ASAP. But Polish is like the hardest language ever and there's no way he'd learn it :D
