  1. I have gone through the Diversity Visa process and I have been granted an Immigrant Visa (I-551).

I intend to land in the United States for the first time in five days. I will not stay permanently at that point, but will look at houses and interview for jobs, and travel back and forth between my home country and the United States for several months before settling permanently.

I assume that because I have an I-551 visa granting me entry, I do not fill in an ESTA visa waiver form. Could someone who has been through this process kindly confirm?

    Thank you very much.

  2. Hi, sorry for asking similar questions to everybody else, but I just wanted to check with you if my understanding is correct.

I have an OC number for FY2015 of 3XX. I have completed my DS-260, and I am collecting original documentation.

    1. Am I correct, based on reading past bulletins, that my interview is most likely to be scheduled to take place in October or November 2014?

    2. My interview and doctor's appointment will be in London. Does anybody know how much notice tends to be provided by this Embassy of an appointment time? As in, am I likely to receive email notification of my interview time very soon, or will it be in September/October or so?

    Thanks!
