    Many times I feel the same way, and is all due to so much I have invested in this relationship time that cant be made up, peolple say it will change when you guys be together well I hope.

    I am from Santiago, when i went to the consulate i stayed at Jardines del Teatro hotel.

    It is a confortable little hotel next to the teatro nacional.

    It is a 18 minutes from the consulate.

    With a taxi go there is 300 pesos, almost 7 dollars.

    The hotel price was 2200 pesos, i was alone.

    50 dollars per night.

    809 687 5114 that is the number, the woner is a friendly lady, you can ask her for a number for taxi.

    Good hotel to stay.

    Did you make a reservation, or just showed up.

    I had my Interview September 29 2014 I had also stayed at the Teatro the owner is the BEST! Alot of people from this site stayed there and she is very familiar with Visa Journey. It is no more than 20 from the new consulate. You will not spend alot of money there I guarantee you! Is very economical.....

    It is easy to arrive, if you go on caribe tour, you down on Maximo Gomez and take a public car for 25 pesos and tell that stop at the old american consulate, then cross the stree to the teatro nacional and there is the hotel.

    Or you can go the the caribe tour bus stop, and then take a taxi to the hotel. 180 pesos.

    You can see the hotel on google map and check your best way to arrive.

    The Embassy Suites By Hilton in Santo Domingo is truly phenomenal!! I have stayed there about three times, last time this past February for 2 nights. I actually mapped the distance from the hotel to the consulate and its only 17 min away!! :dancing:

    I might stay there for when my interview is scheduled!!

    Hey all you wonderful DR folk can you please come by the Case Complete to Interview thread and also if you could fill out thr form so I can add you to the spreadsheet.

    I have heard mix reviews of people scheduling their own but have yet to hear someone who scheduled their own come back and say they had interview. I only know of expedites who can.

    Do keep us up to date.

    Just recieved nvc confirmation letter with interview date, yay. With another obstacle in the way it has brought up some questions. I noticed on the letter that petitioners aren't required to attend the interview. Will my absence affect the interview outcome in anyway? Is there anywhere I can check to see if I am required to attend? If anyone that had a interview in Santo Domingo consulate could give me a reply that would be awesome. Thanks everyone!

    There's a question on the DS 260 form which has brought me to the point of wanting to pull my hair out :crying::crying::crying:

    Question is below..

    Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S. with you?

    I'am a USC and live in the United States. My husband lives in the Dominican Republic. I will be attending the interview with my husband at the time of the interview and I will he will be entering the united states with me. My question is the following, do i answer yes or no?. This is a fairly tricky question. Can someone help please?. Any answer,help, and/or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

    My answer was Yes!!! recently got cc no checklist.

    You seem to think to know what your talking about. So what is it you cant make a appointment in DR or anywhere else, or you need to be a expedite to make a appointment or only at certain embassies?

    Which are the certain embassies?

    Because yes I was able to make both my appointments for the VAC and the embassy , yes I am a expedite but talking with other members in the DR community your theory of no one, well in DR atleast cant schedule their own appoinments is totally wrong!

    Process change all the time and when you went through the process it may have been that way, but it isn't that way now.

    To the OP if your CEAC status says ready, you can schedule your VAC fingerprinting and then it will allow you to schedule your embassy appointment if online it says no dates are available call the VAC (7039883410) they can if dates are availble be able to schedule you on the phone, for both the VAC and the embassy.

    Do you know at what point do I need to set up a profile at ustraveldocs
