  1. We received an RFE on Dec. 22nd and were asked to send in all our tax info and employment info again. Why, I don't know because I sent everything they asked for.

So we requested our tax transcript in very early January and don't have it yet!!!! It says it should only take 2 weeks and it's been at least a month. Is this normal? I'm worried that this is going to take too much time.

Anyone else had this problem? Thanks! Just stressed and wanting to get this done!

    :help:

  2. HI! My fiance is from Moyobamba, Peru. He lives in Trujillo right now. I am flying down there tomorrow for our interview at the embassy on June 22nd! We are hoping that all goes well.

He will be coming up here on August 24th, if all goes well, and I know that he will miss home, but he has been here before and really enjoyed it.

    :)

  3. You know what? I'll just come out and say it....D & I are fighting right now & it's tearing me apart. The fight is purely distance-related & it's really stupid, but it's times like this when I hate the separation the most.

Sometimes this sh@t seems so hard, I dunno if we'll get thru it.

My SO and I fought today too...silly little things...we were both not happy...it's totally distance related, and about 5 mnutes into it, he said, "If I were there, we wouldn't be fighting about this." I agreed, and we worked it out.

As much as internet, webcam. voice chat, and the phone make things easier, it's sometimes harder to read the tone of his voice and know if he's upset or just tired or bored by seeing his face. When we are together, these fights don't happen because I can tell what is wrong.

I was so depressed after talking to him today because of the distance. I know he is worth the wait, but I am so tired of waiting!

** I also miss the little touches, kisses, and falling asleep with him at night.**

  4. :D I've been lurking around on here since January posting a few times randomly and mostly gathering information. Now that I'm on Spring Break and don't have 24 kids constantly next to me and asking me questions, I have some time to post!!!

Hans and I met when I went to teach English in Peru in 2002. We were fast friends right away, and then I went home after a week. We kept in touch with phone calls and emails, and I went back for 2 weeks the next summer. We've been engaged since Jan. 12, 2005, and we are so ready to be together. After almost 4 years of being apart, we are ready to be together and married.

Both our families are very supportive of our relationship, and he has had no problems with anyone in his family being mad that he is moving here.

Well, that's us. If you want to know anything else, like for example, how monkey and guinea pig taste, let me know!

  5. My friends have been amazing throughout this whole process. They have all met Hans and his family, and they love him. They have been helping me get all of my things together and keeping me less stressed (Well, sort of)

However, these are not the friends that I had when I first met Hans 3 years ago. I was in college, and those friends are long gone. They were very jealous of what we had and couldn't understand how I could not want to cheat on him when we were apart for 6 months at a time. What can I say, either you get it or you don't!

My family are also in full support of our relationship, as they knew how I was before I met him, and how much being with him has changed my life. They can just see how good we are together.

I don't know what to tell you to do about your friends, but I know that the people who take part in my wedding will only be those who have been helpful and supportive of our relationship all the way through!!!

    Good luck!
