Henmoh got a reaction from Philippa in July filers!
Update: Got the Biometrics appointment notice by mail this morning. It's scheduled for 1st August.
Have a prior commitment for that day but I guess I will reschedule that now. This one is undoubtedly more important!

Henmoh got a reaction from illinoisjoe in I-130 passport for beneficiary: What's needed?
You're quiet right in your observation that the I130 instructions posted on USCIS website do not specifically require the passport of the intending immigrant. Whereas the checklist on VJ says it must be included. I was confused about it too at first. Finally I included my passport copy with my I130 petition since it mentions my husband's name and hence is an additional source of evidence for our marital status.
Of course like everyone else has already said, you have to submit the birth certificate as part of the I485 application. So you will have to get a copy of the birth certificate. It doesn't have to be certified as such. However, if you need a translation, the translator must certify.
    Hope that helps!
