Hi all,
So after a while, I just checked the status online and here's what I got...
"On February 26, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number @@@#############, at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
and when I check https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do the I-751 is processing case as of September 22, 2016. We haven't received any form of communications from them and still waiting for what's next. Since our trip is next month, should I schedule an appointment to extend my wife's extension letter which is set to expire next month? Thanks
-
Thanks for the info. We have a trip scheduled for next year a week after the extension letter expires. We might need to have my wifepassport stamped if we didn't hear from them before the letter expires.

Hi all,
I have a question, not sure if this is common. We filed for my wife's ROC which was received on March 6, 2017 and got the receipt number. Received the NoA on March 11, 2017 for biometrics. Went to the application support center/USCIS San Jose on specified date and time (March 29, 2017) for biometrics. But since then, we haven't heard anything back. It's been six months now and we're wondering if this is normal?

What they said ?
After confirming some informations, I asked for the status of the case. They told me that the interview is scheduled on December 4.
-
I was able to get through and talked to someone at the NVC and they gave me the interview schedule over the phone
-
Jackie521,
Wow they still have not provided a interview date? A month from your cc date is what they claim for date?
I think what they mean is a month before the interview date. So if the interview date is set on December 15, they won't notify the party until November 15.
-
I felt the same way and now I am waiting on interview date which I have not received and my cc was 10.31.14. oh and DR Embassy is closed today and tomorrow.
I've been trying to call hoping that I can get the interview date if I call personally, just can't get through.
-
Thanks for verifying that. I can't stop smiling

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've been here in the forums because of the "60 days" of wait. Today, I received an email from NVC saying "All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified." I sent in the IV documents last September 5 and they received it 3 days later (September 8). Also, when I login onlin to check, it shows the the AOS documents as N/A, IV Application as COMPLETED and Civil Documents as N/A. Does this mean that the case is complete and we're just waiting for an interview date?
Thanks

Just updated status on signature
been busy with work and all and was not able to update for almost a month.
Based on the posts of people here in the forum, NVC are currently reviewing IV package from somewhere around July 22 or 23. Does that mean that if mine was scanned on September 8, it won't be reviewed until November 21 or 24?
-
Just an update, after receiving the 60 days notice from NVC last August 4, yesterday (August 12) I received the IV bill and just made a payment today.
-
I just got an email from NVC. I was excited until I opened the attached letter. Yes, it's the 60 day notice thingy that most have received
-
Thanks for the reply! I wish you continued speedy processing
Thanks
I hope so also, but it seems like I hit a snag when my application was sent to NVC.
-
Just wondering, was your case expedited at USCIS? You really flew through!
Nope, I just mailed the application and waited. I think it depends on which office the application ends up to. I also believe that there was a time when USCIS was able to clear a 3 or 5 months backlogs in 1 month time. I guess mine was fortunate enough to be included in those speedy batch.

So, I sent an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov last June 13, 204. I just received a reply email today (July 14, 2014) from them. Here's what I got (just an FYI for those who wants to send an email inquiry)
"Dear Sir/Madam:
The Department of State's National Visa Center (NVC) is committed to the
protection of personal information of visa applicants and their
petitioners. To ensure the confidentiality of visa files and to prevent
the unauthorized release of personal information, the NVC requires that
the following information be provided with each inquiry:
Name of the person submitting the inquiry
NVC case number or USCIS receipt number
Petitioner's name
Principal Applicant's name and date of birth
NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based (I-140), include the
employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name
and date of birth.
Unfortunately, your inquiry did not contain ALL of the above
information. Please resubmit your inquiry with the above information so
we may update our records accordingly and provide you with a specific
response.
IMPORTANT:
Do not let more than one year pass without contacting the NVC concerning
this visa petition. If a period of one year passes from the last date of
contact (by telephone, mail, or e-mail) with the NVC, all submitted fees
and documents expire. If this occurs, the fees must be paid again and
documents must be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration
process.

You won't receive anything helpful from NVC. So, if your documents are ready, then send them. Plus, no guarantee you'll even receive anything from NVC about the AOS package.
Those that got their bills invoiced together used a lawyer/attorney/legal representation.
Okie dokie, got it, thanks
-
Hi all,
Payment link for the AOS has become available last June 24 and I was able to pay it online. I'm now in the process of preparing the AOS package. Should I send the package once I've completed all the needed documents? or should I wait for a letter/list that will be coming from NVC?
Another question, I noticed that some people paid for the IV together with the AOS, but somehow I am not able to select the IV when trying to pay, is that normal?
Thanks

Funny story, I was just asked for the 8 millionth time when my husband was coming home. I yelled "I DON'T KNOW!" Everyone in the office turned and gave me a look.
Maybe now people will stop asking.
I feel you, been hearing that question a couple of times a day for 6 months now. Before, I used to explain everything to them, now, I just tell them that I don't know yet. Some of the people gave up asking the same questions daily, but there are still some that they have replace the greeting "hi" or "hello" with that question.

Been trying to call NVC five times a day for almost a week now, finally got through
After waiting for 40+ minutes, I was able to confirmed that they received our application last June 3rd , and been told to wait for 30 days for the case number. Is that 30 calendar days or 30 business days?
-
Thanks for all the replies. I tried calling the 603-334-0700 number but it was always busy, will try again later.

Hi everyone,
Been lurking around for a while now, but got tired of waiting so I decided to join the conversation.
I received my NoA 2 saying that the application has been approved and they will be forwarding the application to the Dept of State NVC in Portsmouth, NH last 5/20/14. Been waiting since then but I haven't received or heard anything from the NVC. Is this normal? It's been 24 days since they forwarded and haven't heard from them yet. Is there something I can do to follow-up on it even if I haven't received any case number yet?
Thanks
Residency status question
in General Immigration-Related Discussion

Hi all,
My parents have(had) a permanent residency status here in the US. Due to old age, family business being in the Philippines, and a granddaughter in the Philippines as well, my parents decided to just stay in the Philippines and let their green card expired. They haven't entered the US in the past 5 years and their green card expired 4 years ago. They currently don't have any plans on going back to the US, but just wanted to ask a few questions in case something comes up in the future. My first question is, are they still considered as a US resident even though their green card have expired and they haven't entered the US in the past 5 years? Second, if for some reason I need to bring them back to the US few years from now, will I need to file a new petition for them to get them back here? Thanks
