  1. Hi,

I sent my application on the 31th of October. i also filed for EAD and AP.

I had my biometrics on the 23th of November.

When checking my status on the USCIS website, it says that I am waiting to get my AOS interview since 1st of December.

I called USCIS to know about the processing time, as they were advising me to call if I didn't get my interview notice by the 31st of December. I got told that

it could be over 4 months to wait as my area was really busy with applications (Southern California).

I understand that completely but I am now wondering about my EAD.

My case is still in 'Case was received' situation since November, it never changed.

I received a job offer that I cannot accept for now, and the company is willing to wait a little, but I would lose a nice opportunity if

it takes too long to get my EAD. I have heard of expedite processing for EAD but don't know if I can really apply to it.

I am also worried about getting an actual RFE as I have seen people receiving RFE after 75 days of filing their applications.

Anybody applied for expedite processing of their EAD or the fact I am still in the 60-90 days period of filing will get me denied?

    Thanks

  2. Hi,

Now that I am married since a week, it is time to file for AOS.

I want to file also the employment authorization and advanced parole.

Do I need have passport pictures for each of the form, and photocopies of birth certificate, passport for each of the form?

I am confused because I have seen some people just sending two pictures for the whole AOS package, and some people having 2 pictures for the i-485, 2 for the employement authorization and 2 others for the advanced parole.

The same question applies for passport/birth certificate/translations. Should I duplicate everything?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi,

We got my k1 visa issued, but when re-reading my ds-160 application that I kept on my computer, I noticed that for a previous trip in the US I put the length of my stay to be 3 weeks instead of 3 months (which was still allowed with my J1 visa).
I received my passport back and my brown envelope. What should I do? Call the embassy to notify them, or is it still OK as they know I have never overstayed on any of my previous trips in the US?

I am really stressed because of that, as I am planning to fly to the US next month.

    Best regards,
    Jeremy

  4. Hi,

I am a French native, who has been studying in Canada from September 2011 to April 2012, but applying from my current country of residency Hungary, and

I am preparing my documents for the interview at the embassy.

Do I need to have a police certificate from there? It is really expensive, and the delays are long.
I am confused between the 6 or 12 months period where it is supposed to be needed.
From here ,http://travel.state.gov/content/visa...it-to-nvc.html it seems I don't need to provide a police certificate for Canada.

From here it seems I have to: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html#12

The second one seems to be more correct. Everybody has been in the same position?

    Please, help me.

    Best regards,
    Jeremy
