  1. Its 30 business days today and yet no IV bill. This process is really driving me crazy.

Same here...after 34 business days...I have receive IV invoice e-mail. You may want call NVC and ask to put a note for supervisor as it passed 30 business days. The gentleman that I spoke to at NVC couple of days back...says beyond 30 business is still normal time frame given the work load they have. At that point I was just shocked and don't know what else to say. At least the invoice showed up and I hope you get it soon.

  2. Called this morning right when they opened, got through on my first ring - got Kerry, she was very friendly. Asked to have our case looked at by a supervisor since it's been 30 days and still no IV so she checked it out and said she'd put it under review and said we should hear something shortly... fingers crossed!

So for anyone who's been waiting 30 business days since they've submitted ds-261, call them and ask to have a supervisor review the case!

I called yesterday and the rep said the same - a note to supervisor. Today, I received an e-mail saying that I should submit DS-261 online. I have called office again and asked the rep - why I received the letter even though I have submitted it online. He has no other answer except - you don't have to complete it again. When asked about expected time to received IV fee...he says cases taking beyond 30 days is normal and I should get response some time soon. I am really fed up with this process and these guys.

  3. Saw a recent post from someone a day ago that an agent told them it could take 3-4 days afterwards for it to unlock. Hope you get it unlocked soon!

Yes, it seems like there are many such cases (including mine) that are pending beyond 30 business days. I got the same response when I called yesterday. I am not quite sure whether it is genuine response and just saying for the sake of it. I guess we need to look for a escalation process. This is totally insane. At one point both AOS and IV submission used to take two weeks....now with the number of cases in queue..they say every action will take up to 30 business days...and they can't even stand on that. Before we know, they may say up to 60 days. It is just ridiculous that a us citizen has to wait for about year (not guaranteed) painful process but working visa holders can bring their spouse on dependent visa right away. It doesn't make sense at all. Am I the only one thinking this way? Is there any thing we can do to improve this process ...at least future applicants will get benefit from it.

Thank you for sharing. I am in the same boat and posted a question regarding the same. I will call and ask for the same.

  5. Hi Guys, its been past 30 business days after they received my DS-261. When I called, customer service rep says that I may get the IV invoice in 3-5 days. First they say up to 30 days and now another 3-4 business days. I am not quite sure if they really respond in 3-5 days. Is there a way escalate this? When I talk to customer rep, can we ask for supervisor or something? Did anyone has such experience?

    Thanks!

  6. If that were the case, then everyone would be calling non-stop and we'd have case completes in a week ;)

Yes, I agree. :) That's why I am asking/saying - I see many posts saying that they have called and get the same answer up to 30 days to receive IV invoice etc. I think there is no point in calling once you receive case number and invoice number.Afterwards, you just check online for DS-261, AOS Fees and subsequently for IV invoice. Am I right?

  7. agree with u, but unfortunately u will not get any contact on higher management, they r covered pretty good so the only way u can act is by waiting... sorry :/

just this morning on the news they are talking about 1,000 illegal immigrants from Mexico that they are transporting to Arizona and setting them up with food, money and clothing, and they sneak across the border! I dont know what this country is coming to its very upsetting that there is no help for good people who are really trying because they give everything away to the dishonest!

Yes, they put all resources to make illegal immigrants to legal. However, they couldn't do any thing to speed up process to bring spouses of citizens who pay taxes on time. I understand that they can't simply ignore some checks but they shouldn't prolong the process which used to take 5 months to now 12 months and more. May be should write a letter to President explaining the situation. He is one of the reasons why this process got delayed significantly since October 2013.

  8. Hello Guys, Beneficiaries from India can help me out, last week my wife submitted AOS and DS-261 online. So now I am planning to apply for PCC. I have big question in my mind as on my passport the spouse section is blank so little curios this will not impact my PCC. when I filled the application for PCC i wrote married but on my passport its blank. will it be any issue to get PCC?. any suggestions are welcome.. may be I m little nervours

Don't worry. It is not a requirement to have spouse name in the passport to get PCC. All they need is marriage certificate and I-797 approval. My spouse was told at passport office when they issued the PCC that she may get in trouble later to get visa given she doesn't have spouse name recorded. I have checked with NVC and it is not a requirement as long as you have marriage certificate to prove that you are married.

  9. NVC process is taking forever. From previous processing time, it only take couple of weeks to get Invoice number for both AOS and IV after you submit DS-261. I have completed my DS-261 two weeks back and they say that it will take up to 30 days before they release invoice for IV. Taking up to 30 days for every action is just ridiculous. Is there a way to report an issue with process to higher management? I fee like we should escalate this to higher authorities so that at least future applicants can benefit out of it. Any suggestions on where to report this issue? It is just doesn't make any sense to wait for an year or more to get your spouse to live with you.
