What was weird was we got transfered to the CSC back on Oct 26 and since then No Touches, I started to get worried it was lost under a stack of others applications. But then today Nov. 1 , 4 days after being transfered it was approved. Maybe because all our paperwork was in order...? Of course thanks to this board and everybody with knowledge & advice.

  2. Hello,

I'm having major confusion over this I-693 Medical Examination report for the AOS process. I'm getting confused a little on whether or not we need this document from a civil surgeon or just the vaccine supplement we already have from the original medical examination given in Thailand.

I really want to get our AOS packet sent in and I have just about everything ready to go, ecspecially the I-131 AP document which I'm hoping will be given as quickly as possible since my Fiance's mother is very sick & ill.

I literally just got back from a local civil surgeon's office and they wanted roughly $450 to get my I-693 finnished and sealed up. I thought that was a little high so I backed out last second and I have called the USCIS twice since then before this message and I have gotten two different answers.

Would it be wise just to send in the packet with the vaccine supplement rather than the I-693 with a worst case scenario of having them RFE myself at a later point...

    Sorry for all the questions

  3. Yes this is very conflicting...

Does one really need to supply the medical records with the inital AOS or supply them at a later time? I just got off the phone with the USCIS and he told me that these medical document are not necessary while sending in your AOS but rather more important for the interview and or the USCIS will contact you later to view them. Is this right...?

I was under the impression that all these medical recrords need to be sent in with the AOS?

You will have to take DS-3025 to the civil dr in your town and they will decide if you wife need

any more vaccins or if all the requirments are met..

after that they will give u 693A in sealed envelope which you will have to send with your AOS pacakage.

My husband had to go thru the same procedure. He had to get 1 vaccine done, so they charged him

$150. Hope your wife don't have to get any done.

Make sure the 693A that the dr gives you is in sealed envelope and don't open it..send it as it is with ur I485 package

    Hope this helps you

  4. My fiance(e) got her Visa! She got it April 4. I started the process (NOA1) September 26, so about 6 & 1/2 months total going through CSC.

Thought I'd share my experience since I've learned so much from here...

Got to the Embassy at 7:45am and went in and checked in at window 5 with all of our paperwork. They seem to start the K-1 interviews when the clock hits 9am. We were about the 5th or 6th called to window 6. We we're interviewed by a well spoken falang about mid-thirties. He said hi to the both of us and asked her if she spoke english. She said yes and he continued writing stuff down. Then he asked her where she learned english, she then told him from school and reading alot. He asked where she was from and she told him Petchabun. He then continued writing more stuff down. Then he took a breath and directed his questions to her and asked where we met. Then asked me how many times I've come to see her and I said 5 times and he seemed a little shocked by that and told me that was 'dedication' and we laughed. That was it and told us to come back the next day at 3pm and pick it up. Seemed very nerve racking but was pretty easy in the end.

I got her birth certificate translated the next day at one of those shops down the road on the corner of wireless and sukhumvit for 200 baht and now I'm ready to head home with her and get married and start the AOS process

  5. Pertaining to question 8 & 11 ....

On question 8 should I mark 'Wholly dependant' or 'Partially dependant' or should I just mark as N/A..?

On question 11 should I mark 'Intend' or 'Not intend' to make specific contributions or again just N/A...?

I tried a search for this info but couldn't find anything, sorry. I remember awhile back someone had linked an I-134 example page

    Thanks for any help

  6. Finally got my interview date of April 4. I'm one of the new procedures of having it mailed in to get the scheduled interview date. Since my fiance has already finished everything, medical, police etc. this will be a long wait for us. I have all my documents finished as well but I am going to do them over to get a closer date to the interview i.e., I-134 notorized, bank letter etc.

Also I don't believe we ever got the packet they were supposed to send my fiance in the mail from the embassy is that going to be a problem, is there any documents in there needed for the interview that I don't already have or can get?

  7. I'm sorry if this post offends anyone which I don't want to do since this forum has been so helpful to me and everyone involved but I would like to get serious for a moment. When all the waiting and excitement settles in has anyone thought about any prenuptual agreements?

Assuming that not everyone here is potentially marrying someone wealthy(your fiance(e)) I have long thought about the process in which this can be handled without hurting any feelings. Again I do not want to insinuate anything here however, is it too inappropiate to think about the demise of a marriage 5 to 10 years down the line?

Indeed, with approximately 1/3 of all first marriages, and nearly ½ of all second and third marriages, ending in divorce, a prenuptial agreement may be seen not only as practical but as necessary. Without such agreements, the state may either grant each spouse one-half of the marital assets (if they live in a community property state ) or divide the assets based on an “equitable distribution” (if they live in a non-community property state).

Also I factor in the culturalative differences and the fact that I have met and spoken to so many people with K-1 failed marriages.

In any event, hoping not to get too many of you angry with me I was just wondering if anyone else out there has these same thoughts and if there is an easy way to handle this?
