    Filed I751 March 2018

    Reuse biometric letter April 2018

18 month extension letter August 2018

    Nothing further until.....

    Filed N400 April 2019

    Biometrics for N400 May 17, 2019

Email of case transfer for I751 to "local office" May 17, 2019

Letter of case transfer received May 22, 2019 stating case transfered to Lee Summit Missouri (this is not our local office)

Checked my uscis.gov today and it shows last update as 5/25/2019 but no info about what was done.

  2. what was the rfe for?

    The RFE was for...

The medical which I was expecting because we never received the ds3025 from his medical in his country.

My divorce papers,my birth certificate, and my biometric page because the embassy didn't keep those when he did his interview.

Proof of marital union which was the surprise because that's not required per USCIS website until ROC

I had everything they needed except the medical but we just went to see a civil surgeon and had them give us a new medical.

It wasn't difficult getting all what they asked for it just frustrates me that they can't follow some standard procedures or even abide by what their instructions say for filing the AOS application

  3. Received text/email about EAD being approved. Website updated.

Received RFE for I-485 in the mail, but nothing updated on USCIS website. It still shows "fingerprint fee accepted" that was February 3 2016. Our paper RFE was dated April 13 2016.

We mailed our RFE package May 12 2016 and I know they received it only because of the tracking number and signature upon delivery.

Wish USCIS could learn how to be consistent with their procedures?

  4. We also received a RFE for bonfide marriage for our AOS. Our letter came from Sacramento and that's where we mailed everything they asked for. At the bottom of the list of possible evidence it even stated any documents you feel provide proof of marital union for the last 3 years.

This just proves that the government don't have their act together. The info they are asking for is for removal of conditions not AOS but we sent in as much as we could because it's the government and they do what they want.

Our RFE came without notice. On the USCIS website our information hasn't been updated since "your application was received". We had no idea we were getting an RFE. His EAD was updated after we received it in the mail, but nothing else.

So you are not alone. Hang in there.

We are still waiting to hear something. We mailed the RFE package 1 week ago. I know they received it, only because I asked for a signature upon delivery

  5. I used the op's list for our AOS and I got an RFE.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, USCIS isn't consistent with anything.

RFE was for missing medical, which I was expecting HOWEVER they also wanted the US Citizen's birth certificate, divorce papers, and biometrics page (because we realized the embassy didn't keep during the K1 interview, but not a big deal)

What surprised me was they also want proof of co-mingling of assets. Again not a big deal, but I thought that was needed at removal of conditions.

I'm not trying to scare anyone or say the op's list is bad, I just wanted to show everyone how inconsistent USCIS can be.

  6. When there was no movement on our case, we emailed ustraveldocs. It seemed every time we emailed them we would get someone to touch our case. Maybe it would always say ready, but there would be an update change. Maybe this won't help you, or maybe it will. I just wanted to let you know what we did. We continue to pray for everyone in this difficult journey.

Insha'allah everyone will get their visas soon

  7. Mine didn't say anything either, but I was told at the embassy not to open it (and it did have the summary sheet stapled to it like the previous reply said).

Did you get the passport back separately? If not, there is a chance this is simply an outer envelope, and in there is the passport and an inner envelope with the summary sheet.

The passport was handed to him separately and there nothing on the envelope except his hand written name.
  8. My fiance just picked up his passport and envelope. I have read numerous posts about the "do not open" envelope. Here is my concern.... The envelope my fiance received just has his name hand written on it. It isn't sealed well, they used staples on the sides, you can see where they stapled it once, then removed those staples and put in new staples. also no where does it say DO NOT OPEN. The "flap" of the envelope isn't sealed

So can I assume that there is another envelope within this one that is the coveted "DO NOT OPEN" envelope? We will not open anything. We will hand this envelope over to CBP at POE just as it is. But I would like to hear your thoughts and/or experiences.

    thanks

  9. Alhamdulillah for all we have.

I just wanted to let everyone know how long it took from Ceac updating to ISSUED until we got the email that the passport was ready to be picked up. It was 10 WORKING days for us.

Good luck to everyone on this journey. And thanks to all of you who answered questions for me along the way. Without VJ this would not have been a smooth journey for us.

  10. has anyone that is u.s. citizen applied for a visa to algeria? what's the process and how long did it take you to get a visa to algeria?

    thanks

I applied in 2014 directly to the Algerian embassy in New York. I had an invitation letter from my fiance and my flight itinerary. It took them 2 months to get my passport back to me with the approved visa in it. They are not good at responding to emails. Good luck

  11. i'm gonna nag and complain it's thier fault not ours we call them on the phone but they never answer i live 6 hours awar from the capila also i'm not gonna be going back and forth everyday it's too much, hopefully they will be understanding cuz our appointment in the next week we don't have time

Insha'allah they will be understanding for you. We wish you the best of luck. My fiance had to travel to the capital 3 times in 3 weeks. It was difficult for him so we completely understand! Just don't worry if they can't do it before the interview. My fiance completed the medical 1 week after the interview and alhamdulillah for us everything worked out well. Stay positive

They really need to do something about their system! It's not fair at all how they treat people. Our lives are in their hands and they just don't care.

  12. thank you guys we're stil having trouble with the medical i been calling the clinic for a couple days now but noone answers

so i'm going myself to the capital on monday hopefully i will get it that day i live like 6 hours away i don't wanna have to come back an other time especially our interview is coming soon

we wish the best of luck to all of you who didn't get an appointment yet

Insha'allah you get it that day but... My fiance lives 7 hours from the capital. And that's what we were hoping for as well but When he went, they didn't have appointments available that day. The earliest date was 2 weeks away. Which was a week after his interview date.

  13. we got the one appointment on the 25th

been checking all the time nonstop it's just a matter of luck we are all desperate but we got it yesterday morning

but guys we haven't recieved any packet nor attachments with the e mails they sent us anyone have the attachment please send us

and what about the medical exam been calling the clinic all day but no answer how are we supposed to get an appointment for the medical ??

For the medical my fiance had to go there in person to schedule the exam. Take the interview appointment confirmation with you. He called numerous times during the day and they would just hang up on him.
