She is US citizen. I didn't understand your answer. She should re-apply or appeal ? Is it possible she can carry on with this application by providing additional proves ?

Hi Everyone,

I'm posting on my cousine's behalf. She is US national and submitted i-130 for her husband like 5 months ago. They asked for additional proof of Marriage certificate in native language which she had already provided them in the beginning that has both languages on it (local and english). She called them to clarify and they said send us the same again with cover letter.

She sent them again but now status says that i-130 has been denied due to insufficient additional prove.

Now what option she has ? should she still call them and ask to send another translation copy or file a new i-130. She has already lost 6 months.

Thanks in advance for your time. I want to bring my mother to US on visit visa. She wants to stay here for about one or two months. I am a permanent resident. Could you please suggest me on few questions i have in my mind.

1) Should I submit DS-160 form online ?

2) Do I need to send some invitation letter. If yes, To whom should I send? to my mother or to US embassy Pakistan

3) Do I need to send my bank statement to US embassy Pakistan ?

My mother want to come here on my son's 1st birthday which is June. I would appreciate if some one can explain the steps what i need to take.

I have a couple question for you guys... my fiancee did her medical exam today. She didn't have any records of the vaccines she's had in her life so we assumed they would give her vaccines. But they didn't. They told her she would only need a polio vaccine (which she has had in the past), but that she would get that at the AIRPORT upon her departure! Does that sound right? Then they told her that because of it being a fiancee visa that she would have to get the rest of her vaccines after she arrives in the US.

And one other question... are you guys taking a police report to your interviews? The papers we got said "bring police report - EXCEPT Pakistan and Afghanistan". So she is not getting a police report. She went to the police station and they told her even that they could not give her one unless they had orders from the Embassy.

Ans 1. I also never had vaccination in life but i got 2 vaccinations at time of medial test in lahore for Hepatites A and Tetanus.

Ans 2. I called NVC to confirm, do i need police certificate or not as it is mentioned that for Pakistan it is not required. They suggested me to bring one to consulate. You do not need to go police station. You should contact police facilitation centre and they will send it to you by courier with in 10 days if you are in lahore. Majore cities have proper SOP for police certificate but in small cities you can get from police station.

I chose G.T road from LHR to ISB because every tv channel was saying twin cities are sealed. i thought if motorway is blocked at the end then there is no alternative way but from G.T road there are many alternative option to reach in city. Express highway was blocked when i reached there but it was opened when i came back. I went from Faizabad. Police stopped me but i showed them interview letter and they let me go.. within ISL there is no problem. there was huge rush in shuttle service facility. they did not open the gate before 6 for cars but people were walking in to get ticket before 6. Your case is genuine just ask her to be confident. keep some pictures with you. InshaAllah you will get success

SO lets start by telling that my interview was great but I am in AP (white paper)

Here is the experience so other can get help from it .

my interview was on Monday 12 august 7 am I reached the diplomatic around 6;30 I guess, there was a big line , got to the embassy around 7:10 am

there would be two lines immigrant ,non immigrant ......

Inside embassy you would be first called for fingerprints,

after that you will go to waiting area

than another guy is gonna call you for medical and have some forms sign like you wont marry until poe in usa

than he will ask you for language (I said English)

then my interview started the main part (my mom my petitioner was with me(as she is a green card holder she is allowed))

A white guy with blue eyes said hiiii helloo how r u (you also have to read a statement as oath)

Then she said to my mom so you are mrs XXXXX the petitioner?

how many kids does he/she have?

how does you mother got gc?

when did she immigrate ?

perfect everything is perfect ! I want to issue the visa right now but there is routine check (AP)

then he told me to check my status on caec site and said welcome to usa from my side

P.s embassy is working at very low pace and slow nowadays but my experience was great!! May god help in this A.P.

In my interview he did not mentioned AP. He said congratulations sir. I have approve or issue i could not hear properly your visa. you will receive your passport in two weeks. My case is appearing in AP.

I was interviewed there on 22nd Aug. Sharing my experience here and will share separate too:

reached in embassy late around 8:30 due to crowd in shuttle bus service facility though my interview was scheduled at 7:00AM. First i went for boi-metrics then waited an hour for next call on counters. I was called on counter, a local person was sitting there he asked to submit medical report and marriage certificate.

After another hour i was called again for interview. Office was very nice young guy with green eyes. here are questions he asked:

1. How are you Sir.

2. I believe your wife is calling you

3. Do you skype logs or call logs (I said i hv pictures only and showed him few pictures)

4. when were you married.

5. Love or arrange marriage.

6. how she arrived in US.

7. What does she do for living

8. Asked my kids age (He saw them in pictures)

9. My wife parents name

Finally he said, Congratulations!! I have issued your visa Sir (I dnt remember he said approved or issued). You will receive your passport in two weeks and gave me a booklet to carry with me for immigrants rights in america (3 pager document). I asked will embassy call me for passport in two weeks , he said no it will be in lahore at AMEX, keep checking your status on website. I said thank you and came back happily. My case is still appearing in AP. but officer did not mention any AP word there. I hope i will be over in two weeks. InshaAllah

Hi, I had been there for interview on 22nd Aug. Embassy was opened. Situation is not much worst as media creating hype..I faced two blockage near Pindi and once entering ISB. Once you are in ISB then there is no blockage for reaching Embassy. There was considerable rush for shuttle service due to which i got late around 1.5 hours but they accommodated. I was there at 6:00AM and came back at 12:00PM. Finally my interview was successful . He said, Congratulations, i have approved your visa and you will get passport in two weeks. Thanks God

I will leave for ISB on 21nd ...right now protestors are in red zone. I am nto sure if embassy is closed or not for tomorrow. They did not update any thing in news section.

My case was completed in june 2014. I got checklist to submit civil docs and police certificate was mentioned. I was also confused but then called nvc and they said it should be submitted..hence I submitted.

I got a checklist yday I had already submitted original birth and marriage certificates but this is what they said in the email

" The document u sent is not original or certified copy of an original issued by the appropriate govt authority.The document must be original or certified copy of original bearing original seal or stamp from the issuing authority."

please let me know did u get ur original documents attested and stamped too? bcz mine were original but not stamped. im also from pakistan. let me know if u know anything abt this.thanks

Same happend in my case, got check list to provide original documents, though i have already provided. Then i provide them again the following docs:

i) Marriage certificate translated version. stamped from Notary republic and Oath commissioner.

ii) Birth Certificate original from municipal department. Stamped by the department

iii) 2 Passport copies (front pages) not stamped

iv) Police certificate stamped from SP office

v) 2 pictures

Petitioner's presence is a plus but not mandatory. For evidence you can bring photos of you and your mom together taken on different dates and occasions.

i sent my DS260 on may 11 and civil docs in the next few days still havent heard anything from NVC :S tried calling them but they put it on hold. is it the normal time period for NVC for CC?
