  1. Hi Alex V, as Susie QQQ rightly said NY is not the only state in the US & again it all depends on each individual circumstance. I know friends and families who are really doing very well in different states.

The decision has to come from you, pray and fast for God's Divine direction for your Destiny cos He alone knows what's Best for you. Pls don't let anyone make a decision for you that will make you regret in the future. I pray the Best for you IJN??

  2. Thank you soooo much everyone????????. Visa status is now "Issued"!!! It's been a very stressful journey especially the 2wks wait after interview. I thank God for the successful outcome.

I pray for the same for all those waiting to receive Victory news IJN??

  3. Yes I interviewed in London and they received my document on Friday 28th but said due to the bank holiday Monday the visa cannot be issued cos it needs to be printed next day. This was a phonecall from them. Let's continue to pray with THANKSGIVING so that we will have visa allocated to us IJN ??

  4. Dear All,

I have been on AP since last month due to delayed police record from Africa 20yrs ago. Police record submitted last day of the month but missed allocated visa and was advised by CO that I will hear from them about 14th Sept. The last update was on 2nd Sept. Any advice from anyone that experience the same? Or what are my chances for AF visa to be issued? Thanks for all your response.

  5. Hi SusieQQQ,

Thanx for your reply. No, not leaving the children at home permanently. Just to allow time until parents settled before joining them.

It was an idea to see if that's possible.

I THINK THE DV ROUTE IS PREFERABLE. THANKS AGAIN.

  6. Hi everyone,

I was reading this thread on education and I hope someone can clarify this for us.

One of my friend also won DV2015 but she never finished her high school, although she completed a one year access course in college for matured student which allowed her to gained a place in university.

She then completed a four year degree course in Business Management with a B A Buisness Studies UK qualification. She is now a marketing manager for a local authority.

I also got to know whilst we were discussing the issue that she recently went on further and completed a Post grad in French and Economics.

The query is: Will all of this qualifications helped her without the "High School diploma"?

  7. I have a traditional First name and two middle names that are very long and always pronounced wrongly which I dislike.

I was about sending an application to Deed Poll to change them legally with a simple first name and one middle name of my choice.

I would have applied for a new passport, do the police checks on the current name and new name plus submit the legal change of name certificate during our interview.

Am not the main applicant, and as the current name is already on the application and DS260 will the change be a problem?

    Kindly, advise.

    thanks (F)

  8. Hi Zuroma999,

Thanx for responding to my queries. I already contacted the Board of Nursing where I intend to practice and they sent me a pack with step by step list of requirements. I've just sent in my application for licence and UK Transcript for evaluation as they recommended.

    NCLEX is the final stage.

    Many thanx

  9. Hi everyone,

    Please I need some advise.

I qualified with a diploma in Adult nursing and practice for 5yrs as a RN.

I then did an 18 months program for the Bachelor of Science and practising as a Midwife at present.

I wanted to know how do I go about it in America?

I am prepared to work as an obstetrics nurse but do I have to do any other course excluding the NCLEX?

Is it easier to start preparing now or wait till I immigrate?

Any other useful tips will be much appreciated.

    Many thanx
