Hello all,

I plan to go to the Philippines to be with my fiancee when she goes to the medical exam and interview. I was curious about the time need in between. I understand the standard recommendation is 5-7 days in between, but since the results now are normally given in a sealed envelope that is taken to the interview at the embassy, if the time between could be closer together or if it even mattered much now?

Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Especially if someone has recently done theirs close together.

we did ours just one day apart between medical and interview. everything went well and my fiance was approved.

Yes copies of pay stubs, tax return W2 are just fine, originals are not needed. Read the embassy instructions letter.

Thank you so much guys! So happy to know that it is possible.. We'll just take our chances with the sputum test hopefully he will not go through all of that. If he does, then we will just reschedule our interview.

Also guys if you don't mind, I also want to know if it is ok to bring a printed copy of my paystubs to the interview?

I was thinking of just scanning my paystubs and send it to my fiance for him to print and bring to the interview as I won't have time to send it to the philippines by the time I get my latest ones.. I can't find any answers if they require the original copies of paystubs or not.. -_-'

Hi guys, I just want to ask if its ok to schedule an interview now a day or two after getting your medical done?

The reason for this is because my fiance lives in the province and we want to get everything done in one week without him having to fly back and forth to manila.

He will have his interview on Aug. 28 and we we're thinking we can do the medical on Aug. 24-25. I heard they hand out the envelopes now from ur medical and you take it to the embasy with you on the day of your interview so they dont actually have to wait 1-2 weeks apart for the medical results.. Am i right? please advice. Thanks

Yes i've called several times but they're not much of a help. They just keep telling me to wait another month.

The inline notice says to contact USCIS if you don't get scheduled within 90 days of being inline for interview. Have you tried calling them?

Im waiting for my interview schedule at Santa ana as well but I think that office is just slow as heck. Ive been inline since June and today is the 3rd month waiting for my interview schedule.

Hi guys!

I did my walk in biometrics on Monday and today I just got my notification that im inline for interview! I didn't expect them to be this quick as my actual biometrics appointment is on 6/9. So going early for biometrics do speeds up the process! Im happy everything is going smoothly so far. Hopefully I get my interview letter soon. Goodluck everyone!

Oh really? is it not going to delay any processing if I do that? Cuz I'm thinking of going to Santa Ana office instead. Buena Park is quite far for me.

And what do you mean if they allow you? Do I have to call USCIS office and ask permission to go to another office?

Awww bummer...yes, you can use any application support center as long as they allow you. I went to a different one today.

I just went in and the guy who checks everyone in didnt let me do it today. ???

They were busy and already have too many people for the day. He said i can comeback next time. What a bummer. ?

Are we allowed to go to different office other than the one assigned?

Just give it a try. My appointment is for 06/11 in Bellflower but I tried the Wilshire office in Downtown LA for a walk-in this morning and was allowed (with a lot of begging of course). Its conveniently located 2 doors from my office.

Hi everyone! New user here. Im so glad i found this site. Its been such a help. I have been lurking for quite sometime and Now I decided to sign up and post.

Sent in my n-400 on 5/12/14, package received in Phoenix, AZ lockbox on 5/15/14. Check cashed on 5/17/14 and on 5/22 I received an email that they have mailed my fingerprint appointment. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow or Monday. I hope this process wont be drag on for too long as I will be applying for K1 visa for my Fiance once I get my citizenship. Anyone on the same boat as I am? Lol. Anyway, Im applying base on 5 years LPR. goodluck everyone!
