  1. Did they assign you the "interview data and time" in your P4 confirmation email?

After i got my "xxx - std p4 app" email, i failed to make the appointment on the consulate website on the same day they assigned in my interview letter. Then i asked them and was told that i didn't need to make the appointment online. But you have to choose one of Zhongxin banks to get your approved visa after the interview.

  2. It seems that we can't choose EP and have to send all the documents with mails.

So we have an disagreement if the electronic process is still available for chinese applicants or not. One of us wants to send the AOS documents with mails and separately send IV package with emails because it takes 1 month or so to send mails from China to America.

Any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks in advance.

  3. Hi Guys, we need some help.

Last week we revceived a mail from NVC after we paid the AOS fee.

They said "If your case was initiated after October 4, 2010 and your case number begins with AMM, ATH,

BGH, LMA, MEP, or MTL you must submit your visa application form online. Otherwise you must submit the paper version of the form."

It seems that they don't have 3 groups like this webpage mentioned: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/how-to-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html.

And on this webpage(http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/support/i-864-frequently-asked-questions.html), they also mentioned "Completing the Forms: Affidavit of Support forms should be completed on a computer, typed in CAPITAL letters. After the form is completed it must be printed and mailed. DO NOT attempt to submit the form electronically".

  4. Hi NCChina,

    Did your wife get approved?

I have difficulty getting the police record from my hometown because my Hukou was migrated to another city where i live now when i graduated from college.

I have already got the police record from the local police station in the city which my Hukou belongs to. This police record doesn't mention anything about my "entire residency in China". Should i try hard to get another police record from my hometown since NVC's website mentions people who have lived in multiple places have to submit all the police certificates?

I have another question: the police certificate must be notarized by notary offices? I notice they said only the documents which are not in the local official language needs to be accompanied by certified translations.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Our priority date is Dec 16, 2013. I just found it has been approved on May 17, 2014 by checking the status on Uscis website yesterday. We found a lot of useful information here although this is my first post. I just want to say thanks for that and hope those who are still waiting will get approved soon. I'm with Vermont service center and they seem to be quicker than i thought.
