Thank you all for the prompt answers. To clarify, she lives in Las Vegas, I live in San Diego.
I have known this guy for awhile. We had not seen this behavior before she arrived here..
The deaf community is small. My son is deaf also so I do know many deaf from all over the west.
Mu husband is willing to pay for an initial attorney consult since this girl and her family in Phils have no money.
Thank you again. I will call to see what--if anything--can be done to help her, even if it means sending her and her K-2 back to Phils.
Thanks for not flaming me.

Well, I swore I would not use this forum again after some unkind things were said on my last post, but things have changed and I need to call an attorney.
Back story, I am here online on behalf of the K-1, now wife, and her 2 yr old K-3. Wife is deaf, limited English and writing skills.
Please let me know if I am taking the right path. I think she needs an attorney.
Arrived in US Sept 11, 2014
Married Nov 14, 2014.
Since then, no effort made for immigration doctor appt. or any effort to collect documents for the AOS.
Husband's truck was repossessed, cable tv turned off for non payment, was given a 5 day notice of eviction on the apt for non payment of rent.
Wife, K-1 is deaf, has no cell phone text access, no wifi to use the deaf relay service for any help, speaks mostly Philippine sign language, not good in American sign language,.
She says there is not enough food sometimes.
There have been people coming to the apt looking for the husband to repay them for the money he owes them.
BTW~~~husband is also deaf.
We think he may be online gambling.
Wife, K-1 has had a dental emergency for 3 days, and he says no money for medicine. She text me by using his cell phone when he was asleep, and sent me pictures of her face. I live in another state.
My question is, at this point, should I be calling an attorney ?
I have emails from the consulate in LA telling me to do this. Do I just ask the attorney "Where do we go from here?"
Please no flaming replies. I'm just trying to help a deaf lady who lives in another state than me.

I'm filling out the I-693 medical form for my K-1 and K-2.
Is the A number for my 2 yr old K-2 the same as the K-1 ?
Thanks.

Fiance and son arrived here Sept. 11. The relationship has been REALLY bad. Have postponed the wedding twice.
Visas expire Dec. 13.
Because I signed the I-134, A of Support, I am legally responsible to support them for 10 yrs or until she becomes a citizen, correct ?
So, it becomes my responsibility for paying to send them back to the Philippines, if this is what we decide correct ?
I'm not a horrible person, but just trying to learn the legal aspects of this complicated situation.
So, what happens if we do not get married and she becomes out of status without going back to her country ?
The legality is, I promised to support them when I signed the I-134, so any fees or deportation expenses are my responsibility, correct ?
Thanks everyone. This is truly heartbreaking.

Thank you all. Your answers are pretty much what I have already told them
They have decided to get counseling.
I think she believes the movies that life here is a cakewalk and without problems.
Thanks again. I think I have enough info to give them.

Thanks.
Yes it was a stupid mistake.

Unsure of options
K-1 and her K-2 arrived here Sept 11th. Marriage was supposed to be in Oc.t They are arguing a lot, and her fiancé has postponed the wedding.
Today he slapped her.
What happens to her and her K-2 if they don't get married or secondly, what
happens if she came here in good faith and he has slapped her?
No one but the baby witnessed it, but they both have told others.
He didn't hit her hard, just a brush on the head. He said she was gossiping about him tofriends.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but we did not make a copy of the NOA needed to file AOS.
Dumb mistake. How do we get a copy of it.?

Hiedy and Derek just arrived in the US on Sept 11. Derek's father is not listed on the bc,and there has been no contact from him in 2 years.
We were not required to get any permission from the father.
-
It took 8 days for Hiedy's to arrive in Mindanao.
-
I agree with the others.
Hidey had an early appointment also, and that is good. The consuls are not hot or tired
then.
Hiedy said they were all very kind and only asked a few questions, mostly to see how well
she knew me----birthdate, occupation, divorce, how many kids.
Hiedy is also traveling with her K2 2 year old son.

I just bought tickets yesterday. I used a local Filipino travel agency.
It is so complicated. I couldn't do it online. Also, if I booked online with a credit card, I was told they would need to show that credit card at the airport at check-in.
-
Hiedy Lives in Mindanao and got the visa 8 days later.
We didn't book the flight until yesterday, Aug. 4th.
-
Wow ! 3 days....We are K-1 and at 6 days after interview have not received it.
-
-
We mailed ours---Los Angeles---confirmation only took about 10 days.
-
Whoa congratulations!!!!☺️☺️☺️ What are the questions they asked you?☺️ Am happy for you☺️
Hiedy said it was so easy, much easier than CFO where they didn't believe we are deaf.
She had one of the first appointments and was back at the hotel by 1PM.
She said the questions were routine.
Fiance name
how old
what is his work
how did we meet
how many times did he visit
is he divorced
how many children
Then they asked for all the documents.
She said all the consuls were kind. I guess it pays to have an early appointment.

Yes, thank you.
VISAS GRANTED !!!!
I will update my timeline soon.
-
Oops. I missed that ☺️
-
We used a Filipino travel agency here in CA.
PAL requires that they present the same credit card that was used to book, at the PAL check in.
I was not sending my credit card there.

Hiedy went to her CFO yesterday. They asked for things not on the required list.
I had made extra copies of things that I had heard they asked for, but yesterday they askedher for a copy of my passport, which she didn't have.
They allowed her to get it from my email and bring it back to them.
We are deaf, and Hiedy said the lady did not believe her, and questioned her a lot.
I guess they have a list of REQUIRED documents needed-----and yes, they asked for my divorce papers--and then they ask for other papers depending n the case.

Hiedy went on Monday. We had planned for 2 days, but she forgot the confirmation page so she had to go back on Thursday. They were closed on Wednesday. They did all the shots and her xray on Monday though.
I believe they are closed on Friday. At least they won't do the TB test on Friday because it has to be read in 2 days.

Ok guys------
Sandra sent me a private email and explained how the system works. I respect her advice.
At this point, I see that the USC has 3 options:
1. Go ahead and file the AOS.
2. Send them back.
3. Do nothing and wait until they are illegal.
I have no control over any of this, so it is best if I close this thread.
Thank you for all the advice and suggestions.
