If you don't do the medical for the interview your will receive a 221(g) advising you that your application is on hold till you can submit the completed medical. As far as SLEC closed on 2/25 that will be a problem because that will be the day they read his TB test. Call SLEC and see what you can do to work around this but I am sure they will say there is nothing they can do. This will not be a visa denial, just added more time to complete the process.

i thought the TB test will be read in the 2nd day that will be feb 24? so there is no chances my son can do the the interview by feb 26?cuz i read some who got 221g form because there medical is not yet done or delivered to the USEM..i dont know what to do.. so expensive to rebook flight..

Good day vj's i already got an appointment for my son (k2 visa) feb 26 and the medical is feb 22-24 the problem is its holiday in feb 25 because of people power revolution. I just notice it when everything is set the embassy appointment, the flight from butuan-manila,the hotel for 6days. When i register to his medical i just found out that there are close in feb 25 thursday..so what will i do now?he can still go to the embassy appointment and the case will be on AP?thnx alot..im worried about my son cuz no one will be with him aside from my 67yrs old dad..

How about monday-wed medical then fri is the embassy appointment? Would that be fine? cuz we dont have any near relatives that we can stay.and my dad is 65yrs old so im scared if he stay so long in manila only with my 3yrs old son..or it should be a week after the embassy appointment?need advice here..thnx

How old is your K2? Tests are age specific such as tuberculin test. If he will undergo this your schedule is very tight.

If there will be no problem with all the tests and he will not undergo tuberculin test, medical done in 2 days.

He is still 3 years old..so i guess he will do the medical 7days before he go to embassy.how about march 2 is the medical then march 7 or 8 is the embassy?thnx

question: i have a K2 VISA follow to join. im planning to get my Son this march 2015.i just wanna ask if it is ok that march 7 is the medical and then march 11 is the interview? would that be fine?cuz i dont want my dad and my son will staying longer in manila since they will come from mindanao.thnx alot

hi vj's member i have a question. what if the K2 visa (follow to join) holder doesn't have Vaccine record anymore? cuz they stop giving vaccine after he got sick every week for 1month - 6months old,he is 3 yrs old now. but he already undergo BCG, Hepa B and rota virus but they lost the baby book.. thnx alot.

Yes to the medical and interview (and registering at CFO). A "maybe" to traveling to the states, getting a tourist visa is not easy in the Philippines. You will need to get a SPA for your brother regarding your son.

This is based on our personal experience:

When we received the interview date of my children, my younger sister went ahead and applied for a B2 visa, she scheduled her interview 3 weeks after my children's interview to be sure that they're approved ones my younger sister had her interview. My younger sister has a child and a public school teacher for over 10 years, had an previous international travel - not in the US tho.

In preparation for my younger sister's interview, my husband ( who was the petitioner of my children ) made a letter addressed to the Consul at the USEM, explaining why there is nobody whom we can trust the safety of our children in traveling to the US. Together with the letter we sent her an employment letter, our latest IncomeTax return, and most recent paystub to prove that we have income. The letter that we made provided the case number of our minor children just incase they decide to check the veracity of our claim.

During her interview, the consul read the letter we made and check the proof of income we sent together with the letter. She was asked if she is working and what was her work ( they did n't ask to see any proof of employment - but she was prepared anyways ). She was asked the ages of our minor children and why the 2 children can't travel by themselves - tho it was already explained in the letter. Her answer is the same as the reason we stated in the letter. She got approved and was issued a 10 year B2 visa.

When it was time to travel, she was asked by the Philippine immigration officer a letter from her employer ( Authority to Travel - if I am not mistaken) which she got. She stayed here in the US and visited families in some other states without a problem. Her stay was only 1 month since that was the allowed vacation time for her. Travel date was just July of this year 2015 - Goodluck!

yes JAN 13 is the last 90days which the POE stamp my passport..

so it means he will apply first visitor visa?yes he has strong ties in PI he work as a govt employee for almost 12 years, he also married with 2 kids. only my brother can accompany my sons since i dont have yet my advance parole or AOS and my parents are old enough to travel with son. My fiance is planning to invite my brother for my wedding this January 2016 to represent as my family to witness the wedding, but i talk to him instead of coming this wedding i rather let him accompany my son to come cuz he only be given 1 month vacation leave from his work. please need help here what the best to do...thanks alot..

hi fellow vj's, i just want to ask for some opinions,tips, ideas, inputs or whatever you can give. i came here as K1 visa folder and will get married this January, i came here last month Oct 16 2015. My son is under K2 follow to join (3yrs old) which is my plan to get him by May 2016 but it seems to long for me to wait for him to come, cuz i really miss him so much.im a hands on mother for 3 yrs,this is our first time separated so long and cant handle crying every night

,so yeah i changed my mind to get him by February or March. Question is, is it possible that my brother can accompany him from medical, embassy and even accompany him to come here in States? and by the way my brother doesn't have a visa yet. so i guess he will apply for tourist visa.right? 2 Sweet28, we are in the same boat.When I went to step 5 the guy just told me to deliver the Visa within 10 days. all I need to do is to wait for it.Today I just called 2go and asked if they already have my documents, the person I soke to said that based on thier database my documents are not with them yet.He told me to call directly the embasy.I already checked the CEAC its showing that as of Sept 15 its alraedy issued.

Mine still READY..Lucky to my friend who didnt went to step 5..she got her passport today to be pick up in 2go branch in there town..

And when i came to step 5 the guy didnt give anything to me.unlike the rest of the windows they got small white paper..so i ask him do i need something to get or any guide to check my status or everythings is ok here?he said yes 2go will text or email you.i dont know why my friend got her passport and me still in READY status until now..?

Im done with my interview last sept 10.but until now its still ready but my friend which is i knew here in VJ.we have the same schedule in interview she got her visa today..but she didnt go thru step 5.the 4 of us same K1 went to step 5.i just she is lucky she get her visa 1week after..

can i do my cfo in advance before the interview?since my fiance cant go with me in CFO..cuz my plan is before flying to USA we will come here in manila and do the cfo 2 days before the flight to the USA..but u said he cant come with me.i rather do it while im here in manila waiting for my interview..thnx

very traffic in airport area because of the on going construction of the skyway..we been stuck in traffic for 2 hours along that area..im here at paranaque so i know how bad is the traffic my interview is this coming thursday sept 10..

We brought our I-134 and all supporting documents recommended on the VJ guide, but they didn't ask for it during our interview on 8/26.
