    1. It is F2A, which you will see as F22 on NVC site.

    2. Visa bulletin current date is the date of the visa bulletin in which your priority date became current, for you that was June 2019.

your current CSPA age is 20 years 6 months. Have you submitted a DS260 yet?

Thanks for response yes i submit every thing  including DS260 and pay all fees as well. All documents were submitted and  reviewed by NVC on 24th october and there was only typo error in one form 864A  so we fix it and resubmit on 28th November . It was over six weeks and we did not hear any thing.

I submit expedited request through senator on january 08 and got approved on 13 January so case is transferred to embassy.our interview is scheduled on 31st of this month and lets see how it goes.

I check with attorney today and she said its over 21 by date of interview. I am not sure how attorney is calculating

my case was also expedited.. after it said ready I https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=Pakistan and click on new user.

I send an email on this support-pakistan@ustraveldocs.com and waiting for response because i call them yesterday and they said we will forward your request to embassy and they will let us know either you have to schedule through this website or wait for them to schedule.

Did you get same response "The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."" and once you submit request from website when did you get appointment letter

go here.. https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/ and click on Check My Visa Application Status if it says ready make an apt for interview :)

Its status have been updated since Yesterday but i am not sure if we have to schedule for appointment or embassy will call and schedule for interview.

This is what i got in email. The last part is more confusing

"The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in ISLAMABAD, PKST approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in ISLAMABAD, PKST for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview."

You didn't clarify the confusion about what age your sister actually is.

The official determination of whether or not your sister qualifies is at the interview by the consular officer. It is not a judgement or discretion call, it is a simple calculation that if the beneficiary is under 21 on CSPA age when a visa number becomes available (and obviously is not married) then she is eligible. The only caveats then are (1) to apply for a visa within a year of the number being available (this just means filling in the DS260) and (2) to remain unmarried until entry.

See the section on family preferences here: https://www.uscis.gov/greencard/child-status-protection-act

The date of the interview is not important, the date the priority date becomes current is important. This is the first day of the month in which the visa bulletin lists your priority date as current in table A. For example, if the visa bulletin for February 2020 is the one in which your PD first becomes current, then the visa availability date is 1 February 2020.  If you get approved on 20 Sept 2019 and a visa number is available in Feb, and using the birth date provided earlier,  your sister's CSPA age will be 20 years and 10 months and she will qualify.  But if you get approved tomorrow and still get current in Feb 2020, then your sister's CSPA age will be just over 21 and she will have aged out/get moved into F2B. You can play around with CSPA calculator (google it) and see what different approval/priority dates do.

Thanks it make much sense to me but i will post once she got approved.

Sorry about other she is already above 21 here are information December 25, 1996 and priority date is June 13, 2017

You didn’t receive a i797 notice at any stage saying “the above petition is approved”? If this is the case then she already has about 2 years protection on her age. You subtract the time between priority date and approval date from actual age to get CSPA age. If CSPA age is under 21 when the priority date becomes current (= a visa number is available) then she will be eligible.

i am a bit confused however because you said the child is about to turn 21, but a Dec 1996 birthday makes her currently 22.5 years old already.

Thanks for response. No we did not receive any approval letter yet. We received request for additional documents and we already send which includes DNA and some other documents. Hoping USCIS will review those documents within 40 to 60 days.

USCIS will decide all these factors or NVC or embassy. For example if we got approved from USCIS and go through NVC and send all documents and fee. Is it still can be denied by NVC or embassy?

How we can check this "the priority date becomes current (= a visa number is available) then she will be eligible."

Another scenario if we got approved 20 September 2019 and interview scheduled on for example 20 February 2020.  What happen?

You can’t expedite it just because a child may turn 21. However the one that turns 21 may be protected under the CSPA. What is the date of birth of the child, the priority date of the petition, and the approval date of the petition?

Thanks for quick response. I already check in detail about CSPA act and i totally lost how it works if a permanent resident apply for children. December 25, 1996 and priority date is June 13, 2017

  8. My mom is permanent resident and she apply for two kids under age 21 at time of application. Our case is still in uscis and make take another six months or so and once case will be completed one kid will be over 21 and afriad might me uscis will change the category of visa because she will be above 21.

What are best available options for us right now to expedite the case so we application will be processed before she turns 21?

I would really appreciate if someone can share the procedure how to expedite the case?

    Thanks in advance

  9. Hello,

I am filing from US for my wife in Pakistan. She got the interview date of JULY 8th. Can you tell me what's the next step please? Will she get any packet at home to take for medical or will get any paperwork at home etc. Thanks for the help in advance.

    Hi

You can take interview letter for medical. In Lahore they asked e to bring following documents for medical appointment:

    Original passport

    Passport copy

    Original CNIC

    CNIC copy

2 Photos with white back ground

    Glasses if you have

Previous medical record if you have any.

Complete address , zip code , phone number of where you intend to migrate.

Fee 8 to 12 thousand pak rupees

For lahore wilcare.org is better option and you can make an online appointment as well.

They will give the result within 2 days.

  10. Hey there. My interview was on 4th June, It went great, I took the dss(shuttle service), reached the embassy at 7:15 am, got in at 7:45am and was assigned a token no., after a wait of 30 minutes I was asked called to give fingerprints and submit my pictures, after that I was asked to remain seated til they call again, then after 30 odd minutes I was called for submission of original documents and also latest tax transcripts of my wife, after that the consular asked me in what language I would prefer the interview, I selected English, then I was told to wait again for my final call for interview, then after 40 minutes I was called at the window, the American guy interviewed me, he asked me following questions;

How did you meet your wife?

Did she visit you after marriage?

    Who does she lives with?

    Where does she work?

Then he asked me for pictures of me and my wife together, since i was living in England for the past 2 years for my studies, he told me about his graduation from university of Manchester and asked me where I was living, then we had a good laugh and he said your case has been approved you will get your passport in 10 days, I thanked him and wished him a good day and left the embassy.

Next day i checked my status and it said issued. Alhamdulilah very happy.

I wish you all the best. Just be original and confident. You will be approved.

    Congratulation

I have a question. Can you please respond to this

I Submitted the Tax return paper of 2014,2013,2012 to NVC. Do I still need to submit tax transcript at interview or i am good with only updated tax return document.
