  1. Hi everyone!!

I have some questions regarding with the CFO seminar:

1.) do we need to bring our passport? ( i havent received my passport yet and my schedule will be on Friday)

    2.) what are the requirements?

3.) do we need to fill up forms , or it will be done in their office?

    Thank you very much. :goofy:

  2. I know you veterans here have heard this a million times, but I need to vent and this is the only place I can go where there are others going through the same long process. Our CEAC status is still at READY a week after the interview on 1/29. It hasnt changed or been updated. What makes it so hard is its impossible to plan anything. I already took 2 weeks off of work this month anticipating her arrival, and flight prices keep increasing. The waiting is making me crazy. I keep checking 2go, ustraveldocs, ceac....no change. i hope and pray i get an update in the next couple of days. I REALLY miss my fiance and we just want to be together now. I'm thinking of calling the immigration unit at the embassy to see if I might get some info. Feel free to weigh in with your thougts or experiences. i know Im not alone here.

Hi !! Yes you were not alone! I had my interview last Feb.20 , 2015 and until now my status is stuck at "READY" and was just updated last Feb.23.

I checked on 2GO they couldnt track my case number (probably it hasnt been forwarded/not issued) :(

I would like to ask, how long until your fiancee received her visa?

    Thanks.

  3. Patience. Based on "averages" your status may change in the next week. Every situation is unique, so it is hard to make any concrete statements. I can provide you my situation below.

Our K-1 Interview was February 12th. It stayed READY until the 25th of February (8 working days) at which time it went to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. It then changed to ISSUED on the 27th. The passport/visa was delivered on March 4th (13 business days after the interview).

Hi :) Thank you so much for this. This is really a big relieved for me.. By the way did she had her interview just this year also?

  4. Hi everyone!! I am just wondering if this is normal during the process.. :)

So I had my interview last Feb. 20, 2015 and the CO just told me " everything's fine, you may go to the releasing area" and that's it!

And the guy to the releasing area just told me " they will just deliver my visa and I can go home now ".

Now my question, its been 9 days (working) since i had my interview but still status in the CEAC website is "READY" and a remarks "check after 2 working days" it was updated last Feb.23 and until now the latest status is just the same.

Has anyone here have gone the same situation? Please enlighten me :)

    Thanks.

  5. Yes, ChEd is correct, If you are using the Manila consulate, your case file is automatically extended every for months up to a maximum of 1 year.

By the way, i scheduled for an interview twice..

The first one (oct.13) was canceled and i changed it to (oct.17) .. Now I'm wondering if i can still cancel it and change it to my new and final schedule?

  6. Whether the treatment is outside St LUkes or within St Lukes, we'll still need to pay for remedical.

Outside treatment should be properly documented and very important to check on St Lukes guidelines on what to do.

Because treatment for St Lukes, has a series of sputum collection, culture again on the duration of the treatment, and xray on the 3rd month...so need to consider these things when the treatment will be done outside.

If I happen to see a staff that can answer your questions, I will do and send you a message asap.

I am sad for your father, I know he is mad by the treatment he got from this clinic. Right now, my fate is in their hands...so no choice but to adhere their policy.

Running to 3rd month of treatment now. smile.gif

Hi Mercy, did you take your medication in St. Luke's? I happened under medication also and its already on my 3rd month. I am so worried coz my medical exam is fast approaching (oct. 13) ..Will they let me continue my medication in Manila?

  7. Hi has anyone here underwent treatment outside St. lukes hospital? I really dont know how to start the process because according to my father when he went there yesterday the nurse was on the rush and just told him he is going to have 6 months treatment, my father told the nurse he cant do the treatment at st. lukes coz he is working and he is from Mindanao. According to him the nurse didnt say any details as to what to do if he does the treatment in our local hospital.. I am going to call later but any suggestions would be great.. Thank u..

Hi, I have the same issue with your father. Was he able to take medication in St. Luke's?

If not, did he wait for another year? If I continue my treatment in St. Luke's, will they still let me wait for another year?

  8. Awww.. Thank you :) Good luck to both of you too :D

Yes you can do the interview 2 months before your interview. My fiancee did her medical in July finished in one day and her interview is scheduled for September 10th.
Now that the medical is finished the 6 months count down for her visa has begun, but she has her interview next week yeah!! After one year of being a part, we are just maybe weeks away from finally being together again!!!
I wish everyone good luck on their journey!!!

  9. The POE is where you will hand over your medical package and be processed by the CBP (Customs and Border Protection) other countries call this "Passport Control" as you have to show your passport and any required visas in order to gain entry into the country. They may ask you where you are going to living at the POE. Just give them the new address. You will complete the adjustment of status (AOS) after getting married and indicate the address you will be living at on that form. THAT will be the address that matters as you will receive the advance parole (AP) and employment authorization document (EAD) and eventually the GC at this address via the USPS fro the USCIS. The USPS will not forward any mail from the USCIS so it is important to keep your address up-to-date with the USCIS. You do this after filing the AOS using the on-line AR-11 form. The USC sponsor(s) for you that completed an I-864 must also notify the USCIS of a change of address within 30 days using the I-865 form.

Living in a different location than indicated at your interview is not a problem. People move al the time in the US. The important thing is to know your responsibilities of being a LPR and when and how to keep the USCIS up-to-date regarding your current address.

    Good luck,

    Dave

  10. I got sputum. My medical was August 12 Tuesday. It took 1day only. I met another K1 applicants and they got approved and immunation that day. Im so jealous. I am so hurt right now. Im so down. I will be back in St. Lukes this Aug. 26, 27 and 28 for the sputum test. I know i should not surprised bc i have a TB history in 2012 and cured. I just cant help myself to depressed. Im so scared what if i got TB again.. and took me 6months treatment.. Any advice?

    :( :( :( :'(

Hi, why did they let you have a sputum exam? Oh my, I think I should be ready also. Im under medication for PTB and my medical exam is getting near. . Dont worry, as what Ive read from the previous forums, as long as your culture test will turn our negative then youre good to go :) just keep praying .

  11. You are taking medication for TB through your own doctor?

SLEC is required to meet the guidelines of CDC, which if the sputum test results is positive for TB requires them to administer the medication. I don't know how they will respond to your already taking medication, as CDC requires Direct Observation Therapy.. meaning they need to see you take the medication.

Hi! Yes I am, its going to be my 3rd month of medication before my actual medical exam in SLEC. :( Guess my interview will be delay then.

  12. Hi, I am wondering.. if youre already having medication for TB, 3 months before the medical exam, will they still let you finish your medication before proceeding your interview? Or they'll consider it and lets you proceed to your interview date?

    Thanks.
