by the way the embassy in Abu Dhabi will ask you for a petitioner in USA, like a sponsor

there is a forms you have to provide in the interview like ( I-134, I-864 and W-2 ) those all will be signed by your petitioner and stamped by US departments

so check for any a friend over there, look in the internet for someone from your hometown or something ..

about your doubts, you should have a friend or relative permanent address, anf if you dont, google it, you will find some instructions on how to find a permanent address, like i heared you can rent a P O BOX.

for the Vaccinations, answer No, and mention that you will take it prior to your interview.

read the instructions .. more than 6 months only to be listed .. in your case .. 2 months is just a visit .. but if you been arrested there you have to mention it .. otherwise .. no need

I know of people in the past who have reported that where the site listed documents as unavailable, they did not have to produce them, it is worrying your embassy says you must. If I were you I would print those pages and take to interview and then they may just accept the application as it is; if they say you need them they will put you on AP till you produce them and then you can decide if it is worth it. Of course if latter outcome and you decide you don't want to do that then you will have lost all fees and payments up to that point.

as we know the DS-260 requires all info regarding where we lived since we were 16,

in my case .. i lived in ( India, UAE, Ethiopia and Somalia ).

i went to these website to check the reciprocity tables state if i can get a document from those countries here : http://travel.state....ry/CA.html#docs

i found below :

PCC from UAE - where im living now :

Available in any Police Station ( that is Correct, and i can get it easily )

But ...

PCC from india :

• Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying outside India.

PCC from Ethiopia :

* Available only to those resident in Ethiopia.

PCC from Somalia :

Unavailable. ( this is correct too because there is no Functioning Goverment offices in somalia, as its a War Zone ).

I Spoke with Emassies and they confirmed this, they added you need to go there and apply for it, which will cost me alot of money

So What Do you Suggest .. do i need to print these pages and submit it at the time of my Interview .. or should i go and get those PCC .. which is not easy at all

the whole thing about petitioner is just a mailing address

i filled the DS-260 form today .. i didnt submitted it .. coz im at work and i need to go home and make sure some info's out there .. and the surprise is that there is no peitioner required .. i mean there is no petitioner section .. except a Mailing address and permanent Adress too which is required in US .. that is

my question is :

i have 2 relatives in US, one is my wife Cousin, other one is My British Uncle friend ( business partner in UK )

i spoke with both of them, they are ready to be our petitioner .. so im asking will this help me out in my interview in the embassy .. i mean can i submit 2 forms of affidavit of support or they will not accept .. and also i dont have much money in my bank account .. less than 10k USD .. so i want to submit these two petitioners if it will help my case.

and in case i have to select on of them ..

1- my wife cousin .. its a big family having good business in Miluwakee .. they even have embty appartment for us

2- my unlcle friend .. is a bussinessman staying with wife and 2 kids only .. a big bank account

what you suggest ?

Thank you for your help guys .. i found an arabic forum ( as i speak arabic ) where there is a section for UAE .. the happy surprise is that most of ppl in UAE is getting AS numbers .. whether they are from UAE or any other place in the world .. i found now 3 egyptions living in UAE with AS numbers and Forign state of chargability mentioned UAE

so i hope this exception from the rules or somthng

Find out if Abu Dhabi makes you pay fees before anyone looks at your papers or if it is one of the embassies where someone first checks your papers and then gives you the option of withdrawing before you pay your fee if they find a problem.

they usually check the papers before yu proceed for payment .. by the way .. i found now on the internet a guy from Sudan who is living in Abu dhabi .. he faced the same issue .. but he got the Visa too .. i think it depends on those who is checking the papers .. if they noticed or not

Look doesn't cost top send ds230, so send it and once current phone the embassy before the interview and hear from them!

i receieved a wrong CN when i checked my entry status

im ethiopian born in Ethiopia ( Africa ) living in UAE ( ASIA ), a DV 2015 Winner

i applied back in OCT 2013 as below :

Birth Place : Ethiopia

Nationality : Ethiopia

Living place : UAE

when i checked the selection page i found the countrey of chargability is UAE, and im sure i didnt selected UAE, because it was clearly mentioned that this is not where you live, so im not so stupid to select that i born/citizen of UAE ....

but i recieved ASIA case number which is : 2015AS000078**

similar cases of Africans living in UAE got case numbers from africa, even though i found a guy from egypt who had similar issue, african with asian case number, and he went to the embassy in Abudhabi, and didnt have any problem, they interviewed him, granted the VISA too
