Hi everyone:
I would greatly appreciate your help. My wife is planning a trip to visit her family in Finland next month in July, 2018. She received a two year conditional green card and applied for removal of conditions at its expiration last year. She received form I-797 which theoretically extends her green card for one year (through October 2018). However, I am wondering if she will run into any problems when trying to return back from Finland? She has a flight on KLM from Helsinki with change of flights in Amsterdam to Seattle. Has anyone been stopped from boarding with KLM either from Helsinki or Amsterdam when travelling with an extension letter? We are wondering whether she might have to cancel her flight to make sure she is not stranded abroad.
Anyone else's experience would be greatly appreciated.

Ok hmm thanks! So I just paid the application fee and scheduled my interview so hopefully everything's fine. I guess the DS-160 is not the same for every country!

Thanks, but it says "USCIS receipt number"?!

Thanks Rossa!
But does anyone remember where in the DS-160 form you need to write in the NVC case number?
I'm going through the application and can't see anything about NVC number - on the travel page they only ask for the USCIS receipt number.

Ilovemyman: Thank you! So is it the "travel" page where I'm supposed to add both USCIS receipt- and NVC case number?
I've already submitted my DS-160 but found a way to retrieve my application to edit things, just can't see where I would add the case number.

Hello,
I was wondering if the NVC case number is needed for the DS-160 online application?
I'm afraid I might have made a mistake of adding the USCIS receipt number on the "travel" page of DS-160 instead of the NVC case number..?
At what point is the NVC case number needed? For scheduling the interview?
Thanks in advance!
Travelling internationally with old green card after name change

Hi!
Is your old green card still valid for travel after a legal name change?
My wife is a long time permanent resident (green card holder) and has booked a trip to Europe to visit her parents. She legally changed her last name about 6 months ago and has a new passport and ID card in that name. Her green card, however, is still in her last name. She applied for a new green card but still hasn't received a replacement (maybe 6 more months of waiting). Does anyone know if she will be able to use the old green card (along with the court order as proof of the name change) to return to the US?
Many thanks!
