  1. Hello Visa Journey members,

    Need answers to my question.

First it started of with Ready - My wife had a interview in Bangkok, Thailand on May 6th, she didn't get the visa due to not meeting the poverty guideline so i sent proof of liquid financials available and the case went under Administrative Processing - after two days now we see the case saying READY.

    Ready

Immigrant Visa Case Number: Case Creation Date: 15-Nov-2014 Status Updated Date: 15-May-2015
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html
Does she have to go thru another interview once again???
    is this normal?
What can we expect after this now?
    Any answers will be helpful.
    Thank You

  3. Im still so lost and confused.

What i also came to know that the interviewer kept my orginal I-864 with them and my 2013 tax return and retuned everything else back.

I claim my brother and my mother has a dependent under me and in 2013 tax return i didn't show as married but i showed has head of household.

My net income for 2013 was $ 28,472.

The interviewer was under impression that my grand mother also lives with us - because my wife mentioned to her that she comes once in a while and stays with her from the facts I've told my wife.

Did i even meet the poverty guide line?

Am i allowed to revise my orginal affidavit.

I have savings of $32,500 which i never showed or declared in the form and also i have a existing business of the trucking and i have a commercial tractor truck thats paid for and value of $45,000.

    Any help will be helpful.

    Thanks!

  5. My wife had an interview this morning in Bangkok Thailand.

The case was completed by the NVC and file reached for the interview.

The interviewer questioned my wife about my household and number of people living.

Conclusion was written by the interviewer:

Petitioner, your income does not meet US Poverty Guidelines.

Please submit additional evidence of liquid finaiclal assets of $5520 OR consider a joint sponsor for these applicants.

Joint sponsor to submit - I-864 and I-864A for their spouse along with a copy of his/her 2013 us filed tax form 1040 and a copy of US Passport.

I dont understand what kind of evidence do they need on this of liquid finaiclal assets of $5520

    Please help.

    Thanks

  7. Hello Visa Journey Members

Thank you first of all for all the help and advise everyone has given me from the start to the end.

I finally got an interview date today after a constant continuously calling NVC to speak to a supervisor and got good news today. GOT AN INTERVIEW DATE TODAY!

    Priority date - April 15th 2015

    Case Complete April 7th 2015

    Expedite granted April 8th 2015

Interview Date May 21st 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Only problem - my wife did her medical already and it expires May 20th 2015 a day after the interview date.

Do you think i can call the consulate to get an early or I'm stuck in this situation.

Any help advise will be grateful.

    Thank You

  8. Hello Visa Journey members

My Case Completed on the 7th of April 2015 and Case Expetied was Granted on the 8th of April.

Its been 7 days now and the its still at the NVC - what should i do?

I call everyday in the mornings and they say the same each time, we are working on sending it out and still nothing as yet.

    Any suggestions??

My Priority date is April 15 2014

    Exactly one year today.

  9. Hello Visa Journey members,

Does any one have any type of feedback or know how long does it take fro NVC to send the case file to the consulate overseas when its been closed and also the expedite granted.

My case was completed and at same time expedite request granted.

Yet the file is still at the NVC, trying to know how long does it take or how can i track it?

if anyone has been in the same situation please let me know.

    Thank You in advance.

  10. DWheels76

i had also done a expedite request and i got an email this morning that:

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. Any further questions concerning processing or the interview appointment date should be directed to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.

So my question now is what happens, is the file still going to consulate on expedite or is NVC going to schedule my wife interview appointment.

has anyone ever been in this situation before??

  11. Hello Visa Journey Members,

I got an email this morning fro NVC stating this to me:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

Does this mean my case is complete??

My Wife is from Bangkok, Thailand and i am in Los Angeles, California.

    Preference Category: CR1

    Priority Date: 15-APR-14

Can anyone please advise what happens next now except knowing the interview is set to take place, anything more important now?

Does anyone have any idea or estimate how long does it take from here to get an interview in Bangkok.

Any responses will be grateful, thank you!

    Have a blessed day!

  12. Hello Visa Journey Members,

I need some help / advice with NVC for the second time sending a packet to them.

I sent in my first packed to NVC back in December and thinking everything was filled out correctly and hoping to get the case closed

Unfortunately on the 60 day exact they sent me an email stating what i filled on the affidavit form was wrong and i need to send it back in again with correction and it was a silly error from me putting my wife name where it didn't belong and i thought it did, but regardless said on Monday i sent out my new affidavit form and got a scan in letter from them for 2/26/15 and I'm again in the 60 day waiting period.

My question is, can i do anything to have them look at it faster, it was just the affidavit form i sent them which needed to be corrected, i really don't want to wait another 60 days as i started this process since last year in March and being with out my wife. Any tips or help or advise, suggestions will be helpful.

    Thanks in Advance Members.
