Yes, that's true. My first marriage was denied and now my girlfriend is a green card holder and we getting married soon
So you’re just trying your luck till you get a green card? Yeah there’s no way they’ll see through that.

What are you trying to file? From your history it seems you tried to adjust status through marriage last year, were denied, and are now trying again with someone else? This someone else is not even a US citizen?

Try the tracking number again, but select "immigrant visa" this time. After the interview, it gets processed by the Immigrant Visa unit in London (despite the K1 being non-immigrant).

Hi!
My new employer used HireRight too. It took about a week. They have offices all over the world, so they delegate each part to different offices of theirs.
Ultimately, HireRight just sends as report to your employer, and they then decide whether you meet the standards or not.
Edit to add: Unless they need something from you, HireRight won't get back to you. You can log back in on their website though, and you'll see that it changes to Completed. You can then (depending on the employer, but I'd guess most of them opt for this) see the report in your online account.
The next day, or whenever your employer has had the time to look at the report, you'll see a line that says "Meets company standard" on the report, and then you're all set!
Good luck!
Editing again: August 17th? I've heard that start date for AHA positions, if so, we're working for the same company! I'm starting on the 14th

Just go to any place with a photocopier and take photocopies. That way they'll always be legible.
Just did mine on the copier at my old job.

Since you're in NY state, you can actually get married again to change the name rather than dealing with the hassle of the court. You can get married to the same person an unlimited number of times here.
(you also won't be subject to the 24 hour waiting period that time)
-
Personally I only brought 3 and the letter from the employer. They only looked at 1 stub though, but best to have a couple so they can see that the amount earned is more or less constant.

Just got NPIW today. Not sure what the fuss is about, have EAD/AP so I can work. I'll just see when the green card arrives in the mail.
-
They just send a specified date and time.
Since only the beneficiary needs to go, and they aren't allowed to work in most cases, there's no rescheduling except in an emergency.

I think that is a beautiful idea but when I did a search, I came up with this link and didn't see anything that supported it. I would love more information if you have it.
http://www.usmarriagelaws.com/search/united_states/officiants_requirements/
If you actually click on Colorado on that page, it gets mentioned.
Anyway, that page is poorly maintained and out of date anyway, better to use an actual official county or state website.
-
In that case you can't get an SSN until you have either EAD or green card
-
The form you filled out with your number and e-mail address (G-1145) is for notification that they have received the case. (it says so on the form)
If you want notifications after that, you have to sign up for an account on the USCIS case status page and enable email and/or text notifications.

Card just arrived, a day late if I wanted to work from tomorrow, so not starting my job until mid-August now.
-
I haven't got an approval up to now I'm stressed noa april 27 my daughter got a rfe so I'm wondering if that set us back a bit.
If the RFE has already been replied to, give USCIS a call on 1-800-375-5283 and put in a service request, since it's been over 75 days since you filed.

Since you still have over a month, I'd call ACRO and tell them to sort the name out (for free). With the amount of money they ask for, and the amount of information they need, they could at least do something as simple as double checking their spelling before they send it out.
I had to get 3 police cert, UK, Belgium and Holland and I don't understand why they make the UK one so hard to get, and ask that much money for it.

The US government can find out everything. Why bother?
True I suppose, but then why do they make us send all of this stuff?

I just notice that when we received our actual EAD or EAD/AP Cards, the validity date is 7-10 days back.
I realized now, maybe the reason why the cards were not sent the day they were produced, is to give time for our details to be updated in SAVE.
So when we finally get hold of our cards, in case an entity is ready to verify our status, the system is updated. Thus, lessen complications.
Congrats again to those who got their EAD/AP cards! Keep is updated with the GC too..
That's "nice" of them and all, but I need to let my employer know by end of business today whether or not I can start training on Friday, so I'd appreciate it more if they'd just hurry up.
-
Congratulations to all who currently receiving their EAD/AP
When I received my combo card (EAD/AP), I thought I could travel in Canada. We are only 2 hrs away, however Canadian boarder acknowledge Greencard only. My perception of having AP will enable you to go out of US territory and travel in a different country. But I was wrong, AP will only allow you to travel to your Country of Origin and back to US.
You can travel anywhere. Whether you get into the country you're going depends (logically) on your passport*, not your AP. Your AP only determines whether you're allowed back into the US.
So if your passport/citizenship is from a country that needs a visa to enter Canada (or whatever country you want to enter), you'll still need a visa.
( * only exception to this is that once you have a green card, Canada (and I think Mexico) let you into the country without needing a visa)

Quick update: My EAD/AP apparently got approved on Tuesday as well. Just hoping they send it out quickly, as my employer wants me to start training next Friday. If I can't make it, the next course isn't till mid-August.

Good morning peeps. Happy 4th of July. This morning when I check my case online it shows that the was an update for today 07/04/15 but when I open to check it, it's still the same info from day one
Same here! Hope that means good news is on its way, but not holding my breath.
Have a job waiting for me, so really needing that EAD.
-
Honestly the EAD and AP are all I care about right now, once I have those they can take however long they want with the actual green card. All I need is the ability to work.
Edit: also, getting senators involved just delays the process for everyone else.

Belgian here (though I went through the London consulate, but same difference).
All we included was passport stamps (though we did have a lot of them). No problem getting approved, wasn't asked for anything else.

I think your statement is great, by the way. Not too long, and it sounded really sweet. Good luck with the petition!
