AOS approved today, card production ordered

I have been so busy at work (got a very good job that i really enjoy just 3 days after getting the EAD, 5 mins walk from home) so havent been able to come here as often as i used to. Thanks kaffykat for keeping the list updated

...and thank you all for the support and help. We had to wait a while for this day but there are others who have waited longer and some are still waiting - good luck to them for a speedy approval.

OK I must go back to work now...gosh will i be able to concentrate now???

Thanks eau_xplain, i was so nervous before i went to SSA just thinking that they probably will deny me and wont process my SSN but now that feeling is gone.

Dont worry about that, I got 2 RFE even though I already submit all the stuff that USCIS asking. One is for affidafit support and the other one for marriage certificate. and I already sent all those stuff before. I know its kinda frustating, but theres nothing that we can do. Just patient i think. Well Good luck anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that u had problem with DMV. I just think it will be easy if i had the initial too in the bottom of Green Card, but maybe i was wrong since DMV give u hard time because of that. Well anyway i just get back from SSA office, and I put only my initial name to show on the SSN card and the lady over there didnt asking anything about that. Probably she didnt notice that my middle name misspelled on the green card and she told me that i'd get the SSN in next 10 days.

They will send u email confirmation when they have it. Mine is takes a week and 10 days to get an email.

You say middle name misspelled did they put your whole middle name or just your middle initial? If it's just middle initial your good to go. SS office should give it to you.

On the top of Green card they just put initial but in the bottom of the card they put whole middle name . But we will give a try though. Thanks anyway for the response. I will tell u what the result after I'm back from SSA.

The ITIN # takes something like 6 to 8 weeks. The social security # should be faster if we can do it that way.

i think you should try the infopass. I wish we would have done that now that we have the greed card with the incorrect spelling on it.

Its amazing how many pieces of paper work that they have on my wife and they still misspelled her name. They had at least 10 cheat sheets to use.

we called to tell them that the middle name was wrong when they sent our second RFE but that didnt help. If you call they will tell you that they will get back to you in 60 days.

Just got the green card in the mail today but the middle name is misspelled. We called them at 3 weeks ago when they sent the RFE to tell them that they spelled her middle name incorrectly. When they sent the first RFE everything was correct all until the second. So my question is will we be able to get a social security # so we can finally file taxes or not? Any help would be appreciated. Too bad Mdyoung is not around

I have same experience like u, I think its normal. I received the RFE letter 8 days after they sent the email.

so dont worry about it. Good luck.

When we went to our appt in omaha we sat with at least 20 people in a waiting room. It took at least 45 minutes to get in our appt. but the whole process took us no more than 2 hours. I think it will vary from person to person though. I took the whole day off and didnt really need to, but better safe than sorry i suppose. i hope this helps a little
