Sorry if this has already been discussed. My questions is, do I have to provide fingerprint cards with my I-751 application paperwork, or is this round of fingerprinting the biometrics which is done after I submit the paperwork?
thanks for your help.

I received notification via email that our AOS application had been approved, (Nov 8), and I would be receiving my card in the mail soon. Well the card arrived yesterday, (Nov 9). Good luck to everyone else waiting, I hope they come ethrough as quickly as ours.
best wishes

Good luck to all others.

Hi all. I havent been checking this forum too often so i apologise if this is common knowledge.
My AOS was transferred to CSC about 2 weeks ago. Today I received an email stating a 'welcome letter', has been posted to me. Does this mean i am approved, and/or i wont have to do an AOS interview? If anyone can shed some light i'd very much appreciate it.
Thanks

Hopefully you will be in luck with a quick approval for your case. As for your kids, i understand the frustration. I was asked to supply additional information, which was exactly what i had provided the first time. Im guessing paperwork gets lost or sits under piles of fast food wrappers on a desk. What can you do but play the game. Good luck.

We are currently going thru the AOS and EAD, and Im unsure of a few things.
We filed the AOS and EAD together, then received notice we had made an error with our EAD application. We then received NOA for the AOS, followed by notice for a biometrics interview. In the meantime we resent our EAD application.
Went to the Biometrics appointment, then today received NOA for the EAD, (they are going to send me another notice for another biometrics appointment for my EAD), along with a request for initial evidence for our AOS,(confused yet?). Apparently they want a copy of most recent year of tax returns from my wife along with w2's and employment letters.
We originally sent the last 3 years of her tax returns and she is above the poverty guidelines.
So, is this normal they ask for further evidence? They are asking for more evidence than we had to supply for the K1.
Thanks for any insight.
PS, anyone tried to get a drivers license in Colorado lately? That is proving to be just as much of a beauracratic nightmare.

Just double checking here, when filing the AOS, do you include the payments together, ($395 total as incl fingerprinting fee), in the application package to Chicago? If so how do you get a receipt fo the payment?
Thx

thanks for that, but to be sure, is the I-94 number the one in large computer print at the top left of the card?

i am filing for my AOS, and they ask for the alien number and the I-94 number. im not sure where to find the A number, and im not sure if the numbers on my I94 are mine specific or the cards generic number.
my visa has an annotation beginning with A. could this be it?
thanks for your help, and best wishes to you all.

Well I want to say a big thankyou to everyone on VJ, and a very big thankyou to Aussiewench, (Lorelle), for all your valuable input and information which has culminated in me getting my K1 visa in Sydney today. I was fortunate enough to meet Lorelle herself, and (hope you don't mind Lorelle), she was also successful getting her visa today.
Of course the process is not over and I will be using the VJ site for a while longer yet. However if I can be of any assistance to others Ill be glad to help.
Good luck to all of you still waiting to get this far. Its long and sometimes arduous but of course worth all the hassle.
Many thanks

Do we need to take the x-rays?
Nope. Just have them in your luggage when you fly out. At my medical they wrote this on the front of my x-ray "Take to the US, not to interview"
thanks again, see you on monday

What time is your interview? I have an interview Sydney on Monday 5th June ....8am
A photo copy should be behind the corresponding original. They will sight the original and take the photo copy.
Hi Lorelle. thanks for the information. My interview time is 8am also. Im planning to get to the embassy about 7.15 however. Ill look for you.
Andy.

Im excited/nervous as we are nearly at the end. My last question, (probably), before the interview is do I hand over the completed package of original documents, and a completed package of photocopies separately? I have seen one member state they put original/photocopy/original/photocopy etc.
Which is correct?
Many thanks

Love to hear some opinions on this.
I have submitted the DS230 and checklist to the embassy and now awaiting the interview. I have stated that I dont have a job to go to upon arriving in the US, (to be determined upon arrival), but have since received a job offer. If I can get the details in writing, would it be worth taking it to the interview. personally I dont see it doing any harm, do you?

We are in the final stages of out K1 visa, have sent DS230 back to consulate along with the checklist, and are awaiting packet 4 and an interview date. My question is, my US fiancee is above the poverty guideline but as we have had many financial committments this year, she currently has no savings in her bank account. She is a full time student and also working full time, and her wages are enough to keep her above the poverty guidelines for this fiscal year, so am I worrying unnecessarily about her current lack of savings in the bank?
Thanks for any advice.

Hello everyone. My question today is, when checking case status at NVC, they ask for NVC case number or CIS receipt number. We are filing for K1, so is this our LIN number? If not where do we find a case number?
Thanks for your help.

G'day Aussies. We have received our NOA2 and expect to be hearing from the embassy in the next couple of weeks. My question is, does the Sydney consulate require the I-134 or I-864?
Thanks for your help, and for those not this far yet, hang in there.
Best wishes

Well Nebraska must be on the move with NOA2's at last. While their processing time remains at December 21 2005, we have just received our NOA2 after 67 days. I have noticed a few other NOA2's from Nebraska recently too. Good luck to all others still waiting.
