Hi,

I am a bit confused. Again.

My wife has entered on her K-3 Visa and applied for her EAD, which was approved on April 12th but she needs to do her biometrics (we are still waiting for and appointment).

1. Does it usually take this long?

2. Can she get a social security number with this?

3. If not, can she work?

AND

We have been reading through all of the requirements on the AOS, and it just seems redundent. Does she really have to do another medical exam? And should it really cost $480? Do I need to do another affidavid of support? Don't they have copies from the port of entry when we handed it all in?

We have been approved for the I-130 here, does that mean that it has been sent on to the embassy in her home country? And, if so, then could we just not file for a AOS and return to her home and have the interview for the IR-1/CR-1??

Can someone please help me?

Hi, I am very pleased to say that after extensive waiting on the embassy in London.... I finally have my wife here in California.

Yet now that she is here, I am not sure which forms I need to fill out next. Especially pertaining to 1-ability to work, and 2-social security card (this is especially important because we can't sign her up for health insurance without one)

Anyone out there with some experience and/or knowledge on this, I would love to hear from you.

Something else, we have already had the I-130 approved and have just recieved a letter saying that I need to send in another $70 for the affidavid of support. Do I need to do this if we just send in an adjustment of status application? As you can see, I am getting myself a bit confused here. And what does EAD stand for? I know it is to work, but I don't know what the acronym stands for. and I don't know what I need to do to apply for it.
