  1. Hi all :)

I have just booked my medical exam & i got a confirmation email & it said to bring "A Letter/Email from the embassy with your case number and the visa category confirmed"

My fiancée called up the NVC and they gave us our LND case number.

Me & my fiancée have been keeping good track on our K1 petition which is currently in transit and is scheduled to arrive at the London embassy tomorrow.

So with that being said do I need to have a email/letter from the London Embassy it's self stating the case number/visa category confirmed? Or can a official letter/email from the NVC be acceptable as well? because we contacted the NVC and they are sending out to us a email/letter stating our case number/visa category confirmation

I'm just wondering because I want to make sure I have everything with me before the medical exam. We we're told it would be a couple weeks wait when booking a medical exam however surprisingly there was an opening in 5 days for a appointment.

Thank you very much for your help and knowledge

  2. Hello :)

Myself & my fiancée recently received our noa2 and we're now just waiting on our new case number.

I'm preparing myself & getting everything ready for the medical exam that's on the horizon.

I went to my local Health Centre & got my complete vaccine record history printed out & scanned on paper with it officially stamped by the Health Centre, Signed & dated also.

I was missing just 2 vaccinations, the 1st one being the influenza vaccine which I got scanned on paper, signed, dated & stamped by the chemist. The 2nd one was the varilrix (chicken pox) vaccine which has also been signed, dated & stamped by the travel health centre along with a receipt.

Will this be good enough documentation (along with my police certificate, birth certificate etc) to bring for my medical exam?

I read somewhere that they would want original certificate documentation but I'm just abit lost on how i would go about obtaining that? I remember asking my local health center about it but they said something like they arn't authorized to do that or something? any help would be amazing :)

  3. Hi guys

It's been 5 months since me and my fiancée got given our NOA1 with our NOA2 around the corner for our K1 visa.

I have caught up with all of my vaccines & I'm all up to date with my paper work ready for my future medical exam.

I was just wondering is it wise to get my ACPO Police Certificate before I get my NOA2?

I'm asking because when it comes to the ACPO application it say's to provide 2 forms of documentations that shows both address and date i.e. Bank Statement/Payslip within the past 6 months.

I just don't want it to get to the point where my documents that I already have are out of date.

    thank you.

  4. Hello there :)

Basically in my visa journey with my fiance we are close to getting our NOA2 & I was just looking at the list of stuff i need to prepare for being a UK citizen moving to the US.

& it says that the London embassy is very picky on damaged passports when it comes to the k1 visa.

Now me and my fiance recently traveled to Barcelona together a couple of months ago & had a lovely time & i have traveled to the US on my current passport with no problems.

My passport however does have two creases on the front cover of the passport, no bends or rips just two creases on the corners of the front cover with every other single other page including my passport photo page spotless.

So with the info of the state of my passport do I need to get a renewed passport for the k1 interview or not?

Just didnt wanna take any chances you know lol

    Thanks again you guys :)

  5. Hi there :) me & my fiancé have just got our NOA1 done :) just waiting on the NOA2!

I just had a tax report query regarding my fiancé's company housing.

My fiancé is fine with her slavery and makes just enough at the poverty guide line for the Affidavit form. The only thing is when it comes to the apartment she lives in, It's included in the job she works at. Company housing along with her salary. All thats in the tax report is what comes from her paycheck without including the company housing. Would this be an issue when it comes to me handing in my documents at the u.k. embassy.

    thank you

    Jon

  6. Hello everyone, I'm Jon

Me And My fiancé are just about to send out our K1 visa packet, very exciting stuff :)

    I'm a U.K. citizen & she's a U.S. citizen and I'm planning to live with her in the U.S.

We both work in Back Stage Theater, I'm a Back Stage Technician & she's a Scienic Artist.

Recently my fiancé visited me in late august and thats when I popped the question and asked her to marry me, she knew it was coming but didn't know all the surprises so it was still a wonderful moment for us but we've been getting ready for this for some time now & like it is for everyone on this site it's a very important time.

I'm going to bullet point our story in this post & would really appreciate it if you guys could help me out and let me know either [There's Nothing To Worry About, You're Interview Will Go Fine] or [You Should Be Worried About This]

    Thank you for reading.

. I worked at SXXXXX MXXXX Theater company as a lifeguard & a videographer during the summer of 2013 on a J-1 visa in LXXXX SXXXXXX NY, my visa sheet has [Not Subject to two-year residence requirement] ticked which is good :)

. During this time I got to know my fiancé [friend at the time] which led to our first date on august 9th 2013 becoming boy friend & girl friend

. My visa was vailed from June 1st till August 19th with a month extra added one, so I stayed with my fiancé [girl friend at the time] met her family, went to her apartment in Vermont where she works outside of summer work & left the U.S. on September 14th 2013

. During the time apart we obviously skyped, sent letters & cards & planned for me to visit for christmas 2013

. I visited my fiancé [girl friend at the time] on December 20th 2013 spent time at her apartment, had christmas with her family, spent New Years 2013-2014 there aswell as my birthday (exact date removed for security reasons - VJ Moderation) and left the U.S. on January 18th 2014

. During this time apart I was keeping in contact while looking for work, found work within SXXXXX Theaters LTD doing back stage work, got the job after my trial shift in late March [still working currently Part time.] I wanted to spend time with my fiancé [girl friend at the time] before work got super bizzy because her birthday was coming up (exact date removed for security reasons - VJ Moderation ) & her childhood friend was getting married on June 1st and she wanted me to be there. I let work know & they told me that was ok

. I planned to stay with mXXXXXX for 2 months [way under the 90 day stay rule.] I arrived at Logan International in Boston where I was denied entry into the U.S. I was waiting to pick up my guitar at the airport and as soon as I did I was ask question after question. Which led to them telling me I didn't have enough money to enter the country... which really threw me off guard at the time because I didn't realize I needed an amount of money to enter. Even after telling the CBP I had $1000 on me and that I would be supported by my girl friend and my parents topping up my visa debit card when needed back in the U.K. I was told I didn't have enough money & I didn't have enough ties to my home country.

. I was panicing because I didn't understand what was going on, I told them I had a job back home but I couldn't provide work contracts or pay slips, after a while It got to the point were they kept telling me "Are you getting paid" "You can't enter the country without being compensated" so I thought they wanted to hear that I was getting compensated by were my girl friend works so I told them I was getting paid $200 by cheque for NXXXXXX SXXXX [My fiancé workplace] even tho I knew it was wrong because you need a visa obviously like i've done so in the past.

. My CBP Homeland Security statement was printed and I wasn't aloud into the U.S. it says "You appear to be inadmissble today under INA section 212 (a) (7) (B) (i) (II) as a non-immigrant without a non-immigrant visa. Your admission is being refused under the Visa Waiver Program pursuant to Section 217 of the immigrantion and Nationally Act. You will require a visa to enter or transit through the United States on all fuutre trips for your intended purpose of travel"

. After being sent back I applied for a B2 visa, although I didn't have my work contracts yet or pay slips yet & was denied a B2 Visa.

. I started & kept working at SXXXXXX Theaters LTD back stage finally getting my pay slips and work contracts, while my fiancé [girl friend at the time] was working in Philly summer stock Theater work. We planned for her to visit me at the end of august were we desided that the K1 visa is what we want to go for. During this time my girl friend was sorting out all the paper work i needed to sign and brough it over with her to the U.K.

. after a long time apart my girl friend visited me on August 21st 2014 for 2 weeks. During this time we went to harry potter world, london and I proposed to my girl friend with a song that I wrote on stage at the theater I work at... & she said yes ^_^, we had an engagement dinner with my friends and family and I surprised my fiancé with a trip to Barcelona Spain for three days On August 27th 2014. Everything was wonderful, the proposal went off great, the engagement dinner was great, we had no problems going to Barcelona and during this time we also finished up doing all of our K1 visa packet stuff, I signed everything I needed to sign, we have all our evidence intact over the year and some change we've been together, all the pictures ready, Everything! My fiancé left for the U.S. on September 3rd 2014

. My fiancé has sent off the packet and were officially going through the process

None of us have criminal convictions, neither of us have been married before, I'm 23 - (personal date removed for security reasons- VJ Moderation ] she's 25 (personal date removed for security reasons - VJ Moderation), We've been together for a year and one month & just recently became fiancé's, Do you think my U.S. embassy interview in London will go ok?

thank you for taking the time to read this, sorry for it being so long, my fiancé is way more confident then me saying everything is going to be fine, it's just after being denied entry into the U.S. and denied a b2 visa

I really just want this K1 visa to work out. I thought about going through the B2 visa process again to visit my fiance for christmas 2014 [Now I have my work contract and tons of work pay slips under my belt] but I didn't want it to mess with the K1 visa.

    Thank you Jon

  7. Hi there my names Jon

. I worked in the U.S. in the summer of last year (2013).

. Thats where I first met my fiance (girl friend at the time).

. Went back to the U.K. at the end of the summer.

. Visited for christmas 2013 into the new year 2014 & for my birthday in early January.

. Went back to the U.K. in early January.

. Traveled back to the U.S. and was planning on staying with my girl friend (Now fiance) for 2 months (before I started work at a theater company in Essex U.K.) When I got to the CBP officers I was denied entry because they said i didn't have enough money & I didn't have enough strong ties to my home country :(

. I applyed for a B2 visa very quickly but because I didn't have pay slips from work or a work contract I was denied a visa

. My girl friend (Now Fiance) traveled to the U.K. to visit me & we did loads of things like go to Harry Potter World, a Three day trip to Barcelona Spain as well as get Engaged.

We have finished putting together our K1 visa application & my fiance is going to send it out soon.

    I just wanted to know

Is it worth me applying for a B2 visa just so I can visit my fiance for christmas while our K1 visa is pending?

I have loads of pay slips from work now as well as my work contract which I didn't have in my previous B2 visa application.

Is it wise for me to let the K1 visa just go through and not go for the B2 visa, Or will I be fine with the B2 visa process & will I get accepted?

Thank you so much for taking the time out to read this

    Jon

  8. I checked my J-1 visa documents from 2013 and it says :NOT subject to the two-year residence requirement:

    which is good.

Thank you so much for all this feed back guys this really really does help us out alot. I have been talking to my significant other and I'm thinking, would this be a good solution to our situation. Now that we know we are good for a K1 visa

When my girl friend (U.S. citizen) comes down to visit me (U.K. citizen) in the U.K. for 2 weeks at the end August I'll propose to her on her visit. So on top of all of the evidence we already have we now have an engagement ring with a recipt also. So when she's back in the U.S. she can start the k1 visa process either a month or 2 down the line. since it takes a long time to process. Which will run into us getting married and being together in the U.S. by next year.

So as long as we have all of our documentation requirements for proof of relationship through out our history along with any other documentation needed with us being honest to everything that happened with myself getting a denied entry and rejected a b2 visitors visas. Our K1 visa process will run ok?

So sorry to keep asking mulitple questions you guys I promise this'll be my last post but My significant other also keeps asking me as well "What about if you apply for a b2 visitors visa later on in the year so we can spend 2 weeks during christmas together?" With the 2 months I wanted to visit (April 12 - June 12th) passing along with our friends wedding passing in June & both of us working in our respective countrys before christmas time (minus the 2 weeks break my girl friend will get in august to see) she thinks that being granted a b2 visitors visa will be ok

However from where I stand right now, I just don't want to ruin my chances of being with the love of my life for the rest of my life by doing anything wrong just because I didn't go through things the proper way.

In my eyes if they rejected me for trying to get a b2 visitors visa once being denied entry they'll do so everytime.

Shes more than happy to visit me for christmas btw, she was just very curious even tho I think i know the anwser being getting a b2 visa wouldn't happen

    Thanks again you guys

  9. Hi everyone

I have just been through a terrible experience trying to visit my girl friend who I haven't seem in January. I got denied entry into the united states and I was unsuccseful in a B-2 visa application.

    I'm a U.K. citizen wanting to marry my U.S. citizen girl friend/future fiancee/future wife

This is basically my journey of myself and my girl friend/future fiancee/future wife

    June 1st 2013 - September 9th 2013

I worked at stagedoor manor performing arts theater camp as a Lifeguard & videographer. I worked there with my J-1 visa and went through everything correctly with no problems. I then met my now girl friend/future fiancee/future wife.

    September 9th 2013 - December 20th 2013

I went back to my home country in the U.K. and worked at Cit Lit theater company in London U.K.

    December 20th 2013 - January 18th 2014

I went to visit my girl friend for christmas and met all of her extended family. As well as spend my birthday with my girl friend

    January 18th 2014 - April 12th 2014

I was looking for work and finally found a job at the Cliffs Pavillion in Essex U.K.

    April 12th 2014

I took a flight from London Heathrow to Boston Logan International. I was visiting my girl friend and going to her friends wedding with the wedding being on June 1st, staying for 2 months before I started to work for the Cliffs Pavillion in Essex U.K. I was waiting for my suitcase and guitar and once I found my guitar and started to move on I got stoped by a CBP officer with my bags checked. She asks me the same questions over and over and over and over again of "Where are you staying, How much money do you have, Why are you traviling" I told her I was traveling to the U.S. to visit my girl friend like i've done before. I told her how much money i had and she said That seems a bit low for 2 months, even when i explained I have my girl friends apartment that ill be staying in along with my parents toping up my travel card regualry. Also not to mention i was about to get paid from my trial shift at work that I had before I flew out.

I told her she could call my girl friend if she wants. She took my phone and called her in the other room. She came back and told me flat out "I just talked to melissa and she says your getting paid $200 a week." which was news to me and confused me very much so because A. I wasn't getting paid & B. why would melissa say that. The office continued talking acting like it was fine saying "Yh this will compensate you while your here right?" Still confused by all of this I kept saying this is news for me and was waiting for ages again. Keep in mind once I talked to my girl friend on skype when I got back to the U.K they said they grilled her the same questions too and she didn't once say that I was getting paid.

I was then asked questioned in a report. Now I was scared through out, didn't understand what was wrong and terrified that I wouldn't see my girl friend for reasons of they didn't trust me and they thought I had low fund and started to panic. Then when they asked me how much are you getting paid I said "$200 a week" which Is what melissa my girl friend gets paid and then they asked by cash or cheque? i said "maybe by cheque" so they basically got me to tell a false lie and denied my entry. With all this being said I cried tremendiously and was told by the CBP officers everythings gonna be ok You can apply and get a visitors visa b-2 and you can come back within 2 days.

So I wasn't banned from the United States I was just denied entry and can only enter the united states based on a visa. They flew me back home.

    April 25th 2014

During the 2 weeks since everything happened I booked an appointment with the US embassy in the U.K. and when I went there everything that was a problem with me visiting my girl friend crept up here. I told the CBP office when I was denied entry my monthly salary is £5,000 a month but i've just started working there and only worked a trial shift. They wanted a pay slip from my work when I haven't got paid yet and that wasn't asked for in the application process I applied for online. Then they took one look at the report that happened when I got denied and I was an unsuccessful candidate for not having strong enough ties to the United States in there eyes.

    Present Day

    Now i'm 23 going on 24 & my girl friend/future fiance/future wife is 24 going on 25.

We talked about everything that has happened and shes going to Visit me when she can. Which will only be for short periods because of her line of work as a scienic artist in theater. But we also want to do the K-1 application

Now after all of that long winded information on myself and my girls current situatuion

Will My denied entry to the United States and unsuccessful visitor visa application hurt our chances of me living in the U.S. with my future wife in our K-1 visa process
