  1. We filed the I -130 in the Manila US embassy....and the interviewer said additional paperwork was needed to establish Domicile in the USA....we sent them in through 2Go shipping as they requested......it seems additional Domicile proof is a common request.

My question is when you send in these additional documents asked for how long have other in a similar situation found that it takes for your visa to get approved from the time they received the documents they asked for?

    thanks

  2. We had our interview (for I-130 visa) via DCF and they are requesting more proof of domicile.

We have now established a bank account in the USA as well as a letter from my brother that we would be living with him......from people's experience is a signed lease from a apartment absolutely required or is a letter staying with family sufficent?

    thanks

  3. Hello I have a question We had our interview appt. at the Manila Emabssy in the Philippines for the I-130 DCF visa....and our approval is being held up because of needing more proof for establishing Domicile in the USA...We have a letter from my brother who says we will be living with him when we first move to the USA we have letter from landlord saying we are not renewing our lease here in the (9 FAM 40.41) specifically says "#4 The sponsor must establish an address (a house, an apartment, or arrangements for accomodations with family or friend) and either must have already taken up residence in the US or must at a minimum to satisfy you that he or she intends to take up residence there no later than the time of the applicants immigration to the United States. The interviewer wants a signed lease...which is hard to get before you actually enter back into the USA. Can a letter from Family that you will be staying with them satisfy the Domicile requirement? thanks
