  1. hi

they aren't going to get a CR1 since you have been married for over 2 years, they will get the 10 year GC

two different petitions and the fee for each is $420

you will need to prove ties to the US, that you haven't abandoned the US, where are you going to live? have you been paying taxes? because even if you live abroad you must file taxes if you qualify to do so. Is your son going to be your joint sponsor?

    Ahhh yeah, CR3. Thanks

I work online for a US company. Going to stay with my son and his wife when we get there and then get a place. I do need to catch up on my taxes though. I have a regular 9 - 5 job but have not filed for a few years.

Anybody know where the docs get forwarded too?

  2. Hi all.

Doing a CR1 with wife and child. Married for 11 years and she has been approved years ago and been to the US before but returned to her country 9 years ago because of illness.

Anyway,.. We live together here in Ukraine and I sent my CR1 docs to my American son in the us as getting a international money order turned out to be a nightmare.

So? My American son is going to get the money order. I have read $420 and been told $450?? Do I get 2 money orders or is 1 ok?

Also, As I live in Ukraine, where the heck does my son forward the docs to?

    Thanks!!! Happy new year?

  3. Hi all.

I am bringing my wife back to the USA from Ukraine. We have been married for 11+ years and she came on a k3 visa before about 11 years ago but went back to Ukraine after being ion America for about 1.5 years. Anyway, I did not have the original paper work anymore and while filling out the i129f see they are asking for this information.

So.... Anyone know where one can find this info?

    Thanks

  4. Ok, here we go...

Hi all, Looking for observations or advise although our case I am sure is really different than has been posted here before.

    Lets see... How to start.

I am from the US, She is Ukrainian.

We have been married for over 10 years and got married in Ukraine.

We did a K3 visa and she came to America. (10 years ago) DCF

After 1 1/5 years she became sick and freaked out. (diagnosed as Bi-polar)

For another few year or so is was back and forth from America to Ukraine a few times. She would not stay on her meds.

In and out of the hospital here and in the Ukraine a few times.

I finally went to Ukraine and lived with her for 2 years. Still would not stay on her meds.

I came back to America 5 years ago and have been living by myself and have always sent money to her every month.

We skype talk, email and always have these last 5 years.

Well the good news is she finally understands Bi-Polar and takes her meds and for over a year now all has been very well. I have the woman I married back.

So I think its time for her (and her son - who has never been here, he is 16) to come back to the US.

At this point I am not even sure if the US thinks she is here or there. It was just a really crazy time.

Also heard we need to file a medical document on her being bi-polar???? Not sure about this.

We have been married for 10 years and while it at times has been a nightmare we are in love and I think 10 years of marriage bears that out. :)

Anyway, comments, suggestions? When I did this 10 years ago it was a DCF and a meeting in Poland. I know the

Ukraine does not do that anymore.

    Thanks - Jake
