It was actually less than an hour! My 'report time' was 10:30, I got there at 10, then they looked through everyone's oath letters while all the guest were taken to the ceremony room. Oath takers were sent in around 11 and we were done before noon. Not very spectacular but still nice :-)

Hello everyone!

I know I've been a bit more quiet recently but school has been killer!! ;-)

Well, today was finally my oath ceremony and I can now call myself a U.S. citizen!!!

However, I'm not quite done with uscis since I will be now petitioning for my parents, so I hope I can get through that as quickly as possible.

I'd like to congratulate all who have moved forward in the process and everyone else who is still waiting, be patient, time passes quicker than you think ;-)

If anyone has questions, don't hesitate to ask; I'll still be around :-)

But for now, please update my timeline one last time!

Received Oat Ceronomy Notice.

It will be April 24

I can't read the guy's mind, but I bet your interviewer recommended you for approval as soon as you left the room. He probably just felt awkward about having missed two pieces of evidence and that thing about needing your wife's photo on the document was just silly. Anyway, congratulations and good for you for staying calm!

He was young hyper man, and looks was pretty excited as much as me.

I tryed my best to stay calm and i think that was the right and only one thing that i can do.

Hopefuly everybody will be there as soon as possible..

I can't stop laughing ......I know it was not funny but I feel like that guy was not just ready to approve you. I cannot believe he kept finding something else. I am sure even if you had the picture, he would have found something different. Anyway, there is nothing he can do against you, the supervisor will approve it shortly.

What can i say ?

Thats okay at least i passed the test, i feel that atleast i did something

Now time to wait to hear decision, hopefully will be soon..

Here is my interview experience for n400

I arrived around 30 min ago after almost an hour i.o called me to his room.

After sworn we went to directly to civic test. After 6 quession went to reading and writting test which was very easy..

After all over he gave me piece of paper saying that you passed the test but decision can not be made at this time.

He said that you brought the alimony paper but its not an english so we have to check it out. Then i told him that i think you did not see it here is the english translation by certified.

Then he told me that oh okay, but still we need to see more proof that you paying your child alimony example written paper from your ex wife..

Then i told him again i think you miss this evidence too, here is the letter saying exactly what you asking from my ex wife..

Then his like oh.. mm.. you know what this letter suppose to have ur ex wife pictured id..

I was like okay there is no way he will let me go

He said that i need to show ur case my supervisor after that we will send u mail about our decision.

So i guess there is nothing i can do for now, i will sit and wait, i dont know till when..

Hello everyone!

I just got back from my interview and everything went very smoothly. I was there for about an hour in total but the interview itself was quite short (a LOT of waiting). Of course i don't remember all of the test questions but they definitely asked the following:

Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Name 3 of the original colonies?

Who is the commander in chief? (I'm actually not sure which question it was but the answer was definitely 'the President'; you know there are several questions with that answer)

My writing test was: The people elect Congress.

My first surprise was that there was no reading portion of the test. I'm not sure if he forgot or something else but I did not mention it to him Afterwards we went through my application but that was also super quick. At the end of the interview i got my second surprise when he told me that I would get my oath letter after a few minutes.

So, long story short, my ceremony will be on 04/17. I'm so happy about that because my parents are visiting at the moment and they will be here for the ceremony :-)

If they ask us : -What is one right or freedom from the first amendment ?

There is 5 answer, like

-speech

-religion

-assembly

-press

-petition goverment

So if i give only one of them is that okay ?

Or should i give all the answer ?

And there is a lot of quession like that i just want to make sure.

I got my interview notice on Monday (3/9/15)

interview will be April 6

Kindly update my line.

I think the interview letter comes from the national benefit center. If you don't get it by the end of the coming week, I would give them a call.

I though that notice letters are coming from my field office which is Florida / Oakland Park.

Do you know where notices are sending from ?

actually , anytime the website say interview scheduled, it take about 3 to 4 days for the actual mail to be generated and send out .

I received my email on the 23 of February but my letter was dated on 25.

you may receive your letter by the end of next week for sure.

Then yes but I'm sure you won't have to wait and you'll get it soon ;-)

That is still normal time. If you don't receive the letter within 30 days then you can call uscis. (That's what the automated voice will tell you if you call them to check your status)

So you mean i have to wait 30 days ? to complain about it

I did not receive my interview notice yet.

I got an email on Feb 27 it was saying that : "We scheduled your interview we will mail you an interview notice.."

Since that time i did not receive my actual letter.

Is that normal ? Because when i check according people who got "Scheduled" email, it seems people getting have it in 5 bussines days.

Its complitely weird.. Mine also exactly same field office like yours Florida / Oakland Park and i sent my file 2 weeks after you. But i got the line 1/28 which is before you. So now if your interview get scheduled before mine it wont be surprised to me.

I just wanted share something about n400 study..

If you have any kind of smart phone, i recommend that go to "Google Play" or "Apple Store" and search "US Citizenship Test Practice Edition 2015" this is really good application for the test..

I thought that would be great idea for who doesnt know about it.

Hopefuly it will work for all of you guys..

I just got an email, says that : On January 28 / 2015 we started the interview scheduling for your form N400 application for naturazilation..

"I guess that mean im in the line for an interview, I cant believe that how it is going faster procces.."
