Hey everyone.
On December 7th the USCIS transferred my case to a local office for an interview problem is it doesn’t say when the interview is gonna take place it only has the address of the local USCIS office and says that the office will reach out with an interview date.
two questions: what’s the timeframe till I get or expect a response?
Second question: how will the new office contact me? Email? Mail?
Im starting to get a little worried! Please if you guys have been through this enlighten me!
Thanks in advance
THEY WILL SEND YOU A LETTER WITH DATE TIME AND LOCATION IT TOOK ME ALMOST 5 MONTHS TO GET A LETTER FROM THE DAY THEY TRANSFERED MY CASE TO LOCAL OFFICE

went for my ROC interview on Nov 13 2018 but online case status still saying that my case was received at the local office. any ideal why my online status has not changed.

It is unfortunate that more than two years later some of the members have not yet reached the end of their journey. Congratulations to JohnInTX, the latest approval and best wishes to click2ali who recently had his interview and the 12 other filers who are waiting to be approved.
THANKS A LOT HAVING MY FINGERS CROSSED

The first thing I would do is to notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and explain them what you explained on this forum. ICE will surely listen to you...unless you did not cause physical harm to her. if you did cause any physical harm to her then she can file for a wavier at the time of her conditional removal. if you are clean on your part I would for sure take it up to ICE and if they dont listen you can also contact your congressman. hope this advice would help

Congrats!
Thanks Kash2011

EARLY TODAY WE TOOK ALL THE DOCUMENTS THAT THE OFFICER REQUESTED, AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN WALK US BACK TO HER OFFICE, SHE STOOD US IN THE HALL WAY BY THE DOOR, LOOKD THROUGH, AND SAID, OK, THANKS! ( I WAS ABOUT TO DIE) WHEN SHE TOLD US, YOUR CASE HAS BEEN APPROVED AND YOUR CARD SHOULD BE IN THE MAIL WITHIN TWO WEEKS..............
SUPER HAPPY AND EXCITED FOR MY HUSBAND........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband had his interview today, and it did not go well, (or so i think) we did not have bank statements and the officer requested a revised copy of his birth certificate to be re-translated........
I hope that with the information that she requested - that he will get approved, i feel like we took more than enough evidence and all the documents that were requested.........any advise???????????????????????
thanks
I am in the same boat, just make sure to send all the documents as fast as possible, even though you have 90 days to send it but you also have to keep in mind that officer can still take good amount of time after getting your documents.

Sorry about that click2ali. Having a joint account, both names on your lease, joint health insurance, joint filing of your taxes all help to prove you are financially invested in your relationhip. Did you have any of those among your documents?

Yes I brought everything, she did not even take a look. She was just asking question about "how long we lived at each address with move in and move out dates. In the end she ask me all kinds of question from I-485 if I was involve in any kind of unlawful activities and that was it. In the end she said she will be needing the copy of our previous lease and also recipt from the hotel where we live before we moved to our current residence. Luckily I got a hold of hotel receipt and also spoke to my previous leasing office, they gave it to me and I dropped it off to my lawyer's office. Officer will be receiving it tomorrow.

Thank you for posting your experience. Once you sent the copy, you will be fine.
I have an interview next Monday. I prepared all the documents and photos but I am still nervous a little bit.
I just want to be over this long process quickly.
Great and good luck, I would suggest you to take copies of all the leases where you and your spouse lived together, no matter how long ago was it. We live at our previous address about a year and half ago and it was completely unexpected that she would be needing that old of a lease. But to be on safe side I sent her the copy of our old lease also IRS statement of my wife which has all of our three previous addresses.

We had our interview today. It did not go really good. She started asking questions from my wife (USC) and grilled her with questions. Since me and wife started living together we moved to three different addresses and we mixed up date when moved and left on each address. Shed did not ask any other question related to our family life. She requested the lease from our previous apartment. And she said send her the copy of previous lease and she will approve our case

I have my AOS interview tomorrow at 7.30 am at Houston office, hoping to get approval on the spot. Will update as soon as interview is done.

I have a question, I am also missing one more vaccination. Please give me an advise where you got it and please give some information which office. Thank you.
Regarding vaccination, you need to contact your local civil surgeon, who is authorized by USCIS you can find list on www.uscis.gov. I believe they need 3 or 4 kinds of vaccination I am not sure though. If you have any paperwork that you have done few of the required vaccination and only need one or two take the paperwork to your civil surgeon office, but I would advice you take the whole test and get over with it.

My EAD finally came, and scheduled for inter this August 26. Excited and a little bit nervous about the interview and confused on what to bring. ( esp the copy of medical examination and affidavit of support if it still needed on the interview). Please, I'll be glad for your suggestions. Thanks a lot.
There is nothing to worry about, if your marriage is not sham. They ask basic questions like your or his parents would ask about each other when and how did you meet. Like it says in the previous posts USCIS officers asked very basic question that anyone can answer if the marriage is bona fide. Basic documents that I will be bringing are as follows.
joint lease agreement, any previous lease agreement if possible it might help to establish the length of your relationship.
joint bank accounts
pictures of you as a couple with each others family if they are in the US
auto insurance cards
birth certificate of you and your spouse (original)
birth certificate of your child together (original)
utility bills, cell phone bills or any other bill which has both of your name
divorce decree from your state if previously divorced.
if possible take copies conversation between your spouse and your family member.
If you bring all of the above mentioned documents, you will be fine. USCIS officers are very well trained to identify sham or real marriage.
Good Luck for your interview and kindly share your experience once you get thru.
